NBA Season 2013-2014 (Sep.) FIBA World Cup

Why are they dressing the players up like cheerleaders?

Wow. Pacers on TNT tonight. Starting to get the national TV games a bit more this season finally.

The cheerleaders have more dignified uniforms at this point, honestly.

That's because the Pacers are worth watching.

Well I've been saying that for years but ESPN/TNT weren't listening.

Then again, who is ESPN going to show? The Knicks? The Celtics? The last-place Lakers? Even the Heat have lost three straight.

So, really, it's a process of elimination.

Spoiler:

Kidding. Indy really is a lot of fun to watch.

Well they do only show Indy when they're playing the Knicks or Heat it seems. But whatever, I'll take it.

That Houston game featured the worst single-game collapse I've ever watched. Scoring fifty points less in the second half? WHAT?

How do you score 73 in the first half and 19 in the second?

That's just ... I'm not sure there's a word for it.

Regression?

MY BOY!

Put him in the dunk contest.

Here's a gif too, so you can watch it over and over and over...

They did, and it was pretty bad.

This was a much better dunk.

This is why the dunk contest is boring. Nothing tops spontaneous dunks in a game.

I can't decide if it's more hilarious or mean-spirited that the Boston broadcast duo has made ~4 fat jokes about Glenn Davis per quarter.

They're cutting back, huh?

You know who's starting to have a really nice season? Al Jefferson of the Bobcats.

Jefferson has gone 20 and 10 in 4 of the last 6 games. (The two games me missed the double-double he had 8 rebounds.) He's hit 30 points twice in this span. Granted, the 'Cats played the Magic, Sixers in the Knicks, but still.

Too bad that Kemba Walker will miss the next couple of weeks (ankle). The two of them were just starting to get an inside-out thing going.

I'm buying so much Charlotte Hornets gear for my office. This is gonna be awesome.

Cody Zeller: Not dead. Just terrible, like most of the rest of his draft class.

I admit that I'm disappointed. I thought he would be a lot better. But his story just reminds me of how much better (and harder) the pro game is.

Well and he is in the eastern division which I am trying really hard to see as something other than the Indiana/Miami show. Every east coast game I have seen out side of those 2 teams is so sloppy and inconsistent.

I do hope Zeller does well. He was fun to watch in college.

Which makes Zeller's failure to launch even that much more disappointing. There's not much good ball in the East outside of South Florida and Indianapolis these days.

You know I wonder if it is so much better outside of the top teams. Perhaps it is just that there seems to be an endless supply of athletes or hefty, warm bodies they can throw at you when the bar is so low.

If you are not a ball handler, your basketball skills will have to be so much more superior against someone who is taller and just ask quick as you but basically just dunks.

Get this man a cameo in Portlandia.

At 0:04 the building where I live is behind him and a block down, I believe. That's a great video. I love our neighborhood. Funny thing is that I've sat in that section of Powell's quite a bit (graphic novels and Sci-Fi) and never seen the center for my basketball team.

15 seconds left, Pacers down 4 at Sacramento. Paul George, fouled, and count the 3. 4-point play!

Wow. I hope they pull out the win now. Make it worth staying up to watch this.

EDIT: Overtime!

I now love you, Dwight Howard.

"Slim Reaper" is one of the better nicknames I've heard lately. Nice ring to it

It's better than Durantula.

Jimmy Kimmel wants Paul George to change his number from 24 to 13 so he can be PG13.
