At the request of our overlords I am going to start posting trailers in this thread - despite the joy I get seeing several threads started by me.
To start it off I thought a teaser for Expendables 3 would be a fun one to start with. This should please the folks that liked the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes teaser becuase it also gives away nothing about the story! Actually I kind of like this one. I don't really care about the story of Expendables 3. I care about big explosions and guns. And somehow the tune works quite well.
I just barely caught #2 yesterday on Instant. JCVD was awesome, Arnold and Bruce Willis were kinda weak, and Chuck Norris was lame, and basically all the other principal characters are cooler than Stallone's. For a bit, I was worried they'd lost much of the accidental homoeroticism when they didn't bring back Mickey Rourke for another mumble-off with Stallone in his darkened tattoo parlor, but then Sly promised to JCVD he'd "Man him up good," so all is right in the world. Three of five stars, will watch the next one on Instant, eventually.
This is much better because there's a lot of trailers I don't bother putting up because a) You may have beat me to it b) not sure if people are interested.
Nice! I think having a single thread will work a little better.
The only problem with the single thread is that depending on the film there probably will still be a thread about specific movies anyways because discussion on all the different movies shown here will get very noisy very quickly.
I'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but Expendables 2 (never saw the first one) was so mind-numbingly dull and by-the-numbers that I finally got bored enough to turn it off somewhere around the beginning of the finale (they were going to some airport to catch the bad guy or something, I forget).
I wasn't expecting a smart movie; I was fully expecting a big dumb 80's-style action flick. Only it was so derivative and did nothing interestingly new with the formula that I realized I would have more fun watching classic 80's action flicks that I still love.
I am, however, very intrigued by Interstellar. I've enjoyed Nolan's other films so far that I've seen (including, but not limited to, the Batman films), and am hoping for some good hard sci-fi.

I liked the look of it. It seems to be hitting an interesting vampires-as-drug-addicts vibe.
Aerolite? More like AmIRite!
Just a suggestion, but when posting trailers in here, since we dont have the thread title to tell us what the trailer is for, can the name of the movie be posted with each youtube embed?

The youtube banner has the movie's name on it.

Maybe for you, but I do not get a banner, just the play button highlights when I mouseover. Would prefer to know what the trailer is for before hitting play.
I see the titles when I am on my computer, but they do not show up when I am using my smartphone browser.
Big Bad Wolves
For No Good Reason
Kevin Costner Goes Back to Sports in First 'Draft Day' Trailer
f*ck em for using the Browns... I cry enough over them already don't need another reason
This trailer has been out awhile but I just saw it and it looks good.
This is actually available for rent through OnDemand and I watched it last weekend. It's "movie science" so don't expect much realism about living on Mars. It's not too bad for a low budget flick, but I went in with pretty low expectations and I like Liev Schreiber. It's nothing you haven't seen before in other "we found life in space, oh my god it wants to kill us!" movies. And thinking back on it, the antagonist, what it does and how it works doesn't really even make any sense. But I drank my booze and ate my popcorn and didn't feel bad about myself for watching it when it was over. It's not getting a theatrical release which tells you something there.
I'll spoiler this for good measure, but just about every review of the movie mentions it. The premise is basically
zombies in space.
The Grand Budapest Hotel
And just to break the topic, Justified Season 5:
Agreed re The Expendables. What I wanted to enjoy as mindless fun had very little fun and all kind of eye rolling jokes.
I applaud the movie, story, characters and actors not taking themselves seriously, but I feel they try too much to force in jokes and there's little to no plot.
The 80s movies they're trying to make fun of, at least tried to get a nonsense plot going forward.
I'll still watch this as soon as it hits Netflix. =D
