Black Friday 2013

I know looking through all the Black Friday ads can be hard, so I thought we can help each other out. I figure we post deals we find, and you are looking for something in particular, ask.

I'm looking for a deal on a Galaxy Note 8.

I've been looking for a PS3 Slim in the sub-$150 range. It's going to be used almost exclusively for Blu-ray/Netflix/Xfinity. I might have better luck buying used, but you never know how it might go on Black Friday.

Also, any good deals on 3DS titles. I need to start putting together a library.

I think I really only want Splinter Cell Blacklist for 20-25. I am getting an XBO the week before, so my gaming budget for the rest of the year is fairly tapped:) I wouldn't mind a good deal on Avengers 3D blu ray.

Looks like you can get a PS3 with The Last of Us and Batman: Origins for $199. If you don't want those games I'm sure you could sell them here and get more than $50 back.

I'm also looking for a deal on a PS3 headset.

Great idea for the thread- I get into Black Friday each year.

Also interested in a good price on a PS3 headset if one is spotted. I heard one realtor is going to be offering PS+ for $30, but I'm not sure who. I have a year left, probably, but I don't know that I'm going to pass up a good deal (assuming that that will be one of the deals).

That is also in the Gamestop ad, listed as "Friday only"

Pacific Rim at Target on Blu-ray for $6. I know what I will be getting

This is the resource that I go to. The guys at slickdeals.net get scanned copies of the ads as soon as they are leaked.

There's definitely a few things on my want/not need list that would be nice to pick up at Black Friday pricing

My wife and I have started a tradition of doing our own Christmas shopping on Black Friday. I'll make the rounds and get what I want, she'll do her thing and get what she wants. Of course, we still get something for each other too. It works for us.

Yep I was looking at that too. Pacific Rim for me, Perfect Pitch for her. Nice deal.

That is an insanely good deal. I'm down.

Is there a site which makes it easy to find out which deals will be available online as well as in store?

Glad I waited on that one. Gonna get it!

I would also like to find a 52"+ smart TV.

I keep procrastinating but I need to pour through the bf sites to get an idea of what is out there.

The $30 PSN Plus sub is Gamestop deal. I have not heard that Amazon was going to price-match but I would expect a price match as Amazon is trying to steal GS thunder lately.

And speaking of Amazon; they are having a countdown to Black Friday deal. Of note is Max Payne 3 complete for $6.99 (Steam).

Black Friday Countdown Deals

I have heard but could not confirm that there would be $30 cards for 12-month PSN Plus subscriptions, at Gamestop and Amazon. I don't know if the GS deal was in-store or online. I'm of no help!

The places I would look for more info are slickdeals and cheapassgamer.com, but you'll have to do some reading. The forums at CAG have a concentrated focus on the deals available at the various big box stores (Best Buy, Target, TRU, Walmart, etc.)

Mass Effect 3 for $6.99. Wonderful, I finally get to finish that trilogy.

Sadly today's paper didn't have the ads as I expected, and the various websites are an eyesore. Anyone know where I can get a deal on Xbox One games - Need for Speed and Lego Marvel?

Store opening times, well, at least the ones I think we all care about. I really hate all the stores opening on Thursday.

Best Buy: Stores open 6 p.m. Thursday and remain open through 10 p.m. Friday.

Costco: 9 a.m. Friday.

GameStop: 12 a.m. Friday.

Kmart: Stores open 6 a.m. Thursday and remain open to 11 p.m. Friday. Special door busters will be available from 7 p.m. Thursday until 3 a.m. on Friday.

Radio Shack: 8 a.m. Friday.

Sam’s Club: 7 a.m. Friday.

Staples: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. (Thanksgiving Day hours begin 8 p.m. Thursday to 12 a.m. Friday.)

Target: Stores open 8 p.m. Thursday and remain open to 11 p.m. Friday.

Toys “R” Us: Stores open 5 p.m. Thursday and remain open until 10 p.m. on Friday.

Walmart: Stores open 6 p.m. Thursday and remain open through Black Friday. Special door busters offered at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. on Friday.

I use bfads.net as my starting point.

So far I've been to BB. I got out with a set of Astro A40's for $180 ($250), Pacific rim for $7.99, and a Chromecast for $30. I went by Target but the line was behind the store, not worth it.

Just cause I hate doesn't mean I'm not going. I really hate it for the employees, I used to be in retail. Fine, if the shoppers want to give up their Thanksgiving, so be it, but don't take away everyone else's. Before long Thanksgiving is going to be a thing of the past, it's already pretty damn close. I know I didn't help this cause by going out tonight, but I'm sick, so I avoided my family to get all the shoppers sick.

This is actually the first time I have went out for Black Friday. It wasn't so bad, but I avoided Wal-Mart for a reason.

I went out tonight, got Pacific Rim, 2 presents for my son and a blu ray player for my mom. I am not a fan of the 8:00 pm thanksgiving opening, but, to me it seems better than the 12:01am Black Friday crap they did. The line at Target was around the block and the TV they had on the front page of their ad was gone in the first 5 people. I was in and out in 30 min

Because of the deaths you hear about. Plus, at the Wal-Mart near me they had police directing traffic, and they were using all the parking lots of all businesses nearby. It's a little much for me.

Probably going to pass on black Friday this year. I could use a new TV but i'll probably wait until Superbowl week to pick it up. Other then that I'm pretty set right now.

I know I'm biased, but a good amount of the spreading of the deals and the guaranteed deals are efforts to lessen the chance of possible accidents/deaths. All the stores are given crowd control plans to keep things from being the mad dash throughout the store.
