Your WoW professions

Never seems like there''s enough potions around. Alchemy is a great profession to have a bunch of people in guild on I think since it is a depletable resource. Whereas with smithing or tailoring, you make something once and the person can use it over and over and over again.

No kidding. I would love to have a steady supply of Healing and Mana potions. Mostly healing, though.

Not having played enough, but whats the advantage of a potion over a bottle of water/food?

I was thinking about doing tailoring to give leapinggnome a hand and then branch into enchantment.
I also am probably going to start up a rogue gnome, and do something with him as well.

Potions can be consumed anytime, like during combat or while fleeing, unlike food/water.

I can make healing potions, but the problem is finding briarthorns. If anyone sends me briarthorns I''ll gladly make them healing potions. They also take bruiseweed, but that''s a little easier to find (a little).
Healing potion

I can also make these, but the hard ingredient for this one is the stranglekelp.
Lesser Mana potion

Like prop said, potions can be used anytime, in a fight, while running, whatever. Versus food & drink which you have to sit and rest and consume overtime. Also food and drink only restore health and mana, there are many different kinds of potions, ones that give you better AC, ones that increase intelligence or stamina, one that increase the power of fire spells, etc...

Nosferatu, if you think you''d like tailoring that''s cool. I know Slyfrog is doing tailoring as well, he got started a little later so he is handling the linen stuff now basically and some of the wool. I''ve moved up wool and silk, only going back to linen to help new guildmembers or people''s alternate characters. The tough part about tailoring is you really need a lot of resources, the main reason I''m at 160 now is because of the guild being awesome and sending me materials. The other thing is that I''ve managed mostly to avoid, is people can only use so much stuff. You can make 50 bags, but if guildies only need 9, then what are you doing with the other 41?

The only reason I mentioned potions is because you can always use more, and it seemed some guild members agreed.

LOL well if I can''t figure out why the darn game keeps locking up on me I wont be doing much of anything.

I think leaping is right, i was thinking about making my alt a tailor, but now i think he''ll be an herbalist/alchemist.

Running skinning/ leatherworking right now.

Is it possible to change proffesions?
If so I might switch to herbalism/alchemy simply to get the ingredients for my rogues poison skills.

Yes, bring up the skill list ''K'' and there should be a red circle with a line through it. If you click this then the skill you unlearn it.

OK Snood update level 10
Skinning ~100 Leatherworking
~60
I can make handmade pieces, and embossed boots, vest, ammo holders, quivers.

Put Malefecent down for Tailoring and Enchanting.

Padwynd is a skinner/leatherworker. She also cooks and makes bandages for the Horde.

Snood update:
Skinning ~160 Leatherworking ~120
Cooking 150 (soon to be increasingin again!)
Fishing 150
First Aid ~86

I don''t think Flux updates the professions anymore.. he''s too busy playing to bother with the forums...

I''m where Prop is with potions. If you see me on, ask. If you can send high-end herbs (If someone has Herbalism but not Alchemy), consider me as another source for good potions. My alchemist is called Thag.

I have been playing a tailor/enchanter, and I have to say I think enchanting is one of the more interesting professions I''ve played so far. It is very slow getting started, since you have to buy very expensive reagents OR disenchant enchanted items to get reagents. That alone makes it interesting...with the tailor profession you can up your skill by just making 75 pairs of pants that you can then sell for a few copper. It''s kind of tedious at low levels. With enchanting, you get can get excited even when you get that rare drop of an item you can''t even use -- because you can always disenchant it for some pretty cool crafting loot (strange dusts, essences, etc.) It is also more satisfying...when you finally can enchant something you feel like you''ve made something valuable instead of just cranking out garbage for low level losers (preset losers excepted of course ). Plus, the new skills are available after 10 or 15 skill points instead of 50 or 60, so it is fairly balanced.

Anyway, if anyone has any cloth armor or bracers they want enchanted, lemme know!

I gather... that''s it, tell me if you need leather or ore and I''ll send some your way

WoW name is Lester

Horde faction?

Horde faction?

Heck no! Alliance all the way! Remember, you even grouped with me last night.

Oh man, what a brain fart. I look at forum names and then character names and then I get screwed up. Sorry.

Oh yeah, that was a great combo last night. We do so much damage in a short amount of time that nothing can hardly take us down.

Add Strekos to the list of Horde tailors. Not too far at this point but I can at least make 8 slot bags.

Certis, could you add Padwynd for cooking and first aid should anyone need bandages or food? Thank you.

Update: I can now make 10 slot bags. Msg me in game if you want one.

I forgot to add this. I''ve got a new Dwarf Priest, Abilir, who is a Tailor, and will eventually be an Enchanter, but for now, Skinning is the second.
