Why isn't iguana meat more of a thing? Like in grocerie stores for $5 a pound or whatever. I read a while back that you could get more calories per acre out of having a wooded groove full of iguanas than an equivalent space set aside for free range chickens, pigs or cattle. Plus you get to keep the trees. I don't know how true that is, but they do taste pretty good!

It is in Central and South America. You can get BBQ'ed Iguana on a stick anywhere for cheap and its damn tasty.

I'm on a Mexican radio...

Mexico is part of North America...

Then why do they speak hispanic? Huh?!

Can't answer that can you?

This geography error always makes me cringe because I'm never quite sure that ignorance of geography is the root problem.

For the curious, this is North America.

Mexico through Panama is North America and Central America at the same time. Geographical double-dipping!

(Too bad that's partly due to up-Norfers wanting to pretend it's not North America, but this isn't that kind of thread)

Yeah, Central America isn't a continent, it's a subcontinent.

I don't think Mexico is part of Central America.

For as long as I can remember, "North America" has been been Canada, USA, and Mexico. The nations south of Mexico down to (but not including) Colombia forming the isthmus of Central America. I guess this definition is now wrong?

As pointed out earlier, it's a sub-continent. A subset of North America.

Central America is part of North America. It's just a name for the geographical region (see also: the Middle East, Southeast Asia).

Got it. So "Central America" is a political naming construct. Just a label, as it were.

Octopuses have eight arms, and squid and cuttlefish have eight arms and two feeding tentacles (making them decapods).

Fried calamari, some lemon wedges, and a nice marinara or Cajun remoulade sauce.

Yeah, good stuff. Calamari is a delicate one— the tubes/rings tend to cook much quicker than the tentacles. I start with the latter first, and then add the rings/tubes. Best of all, I like to add minced pepperoncinis to the calamari when it's just about done.

One place I worked, we tossed sliced pepperoncini, mae ploi (that Thai sweet chili sauce), minced garlic, and fresh parsley with the calamari.

Could also work with sriracha if one is into that sort of thing.

Well after all of that I just want to play Risk Legacy and take over SOME kind of Americas.

Canada, you have some interesting mayors.

DC has an interesting mayor-turned city councilman.

(NSFW for being Chris Rock)

Wait are we sure it's ACTUALLY crack? White people call everything they like crack. It was probably a caramel machiatto or some sh*t.

Ha ha!! If only that was all Rob Ford ever got into. He seems more caricature than actual person at this point.

I don't think I can understand what's going on without having a translator explain it to me.

Ohhh.... NOW I get it.

I love the UFC, but if you don't they released a docu/tv show called Fighting For a Generation about their 20th anniversary, and I thought it was really good and well done, even if you're not interested in the fights:

Remember when the idea of putting Minecraft on the cover of a magazine was a funny insider joke no one would get?

Here at lovely Ringsnort manor, Trick-or-Treaters dressed as Minecraft characters were almost as common as Marvel and DC superheros.

In very rural Gainesboro, TN, I spied a creeper in the crowd of trick or treaters.
