Why not take 'Bama out of the mix and go for a Noles-Ducks showdown?

Because 'Bama.

Two top 10 games tonight. I'm kind of excited.

Word. But I'm torn between watching them and playing Thursday night BF4.

Too much defense in this Baylor-OU game. I'm falling asleep. :p

Was pulling for OU, but wow... they're awful.

Stanford with a great first half. And then almost run back the opening kick in the 2nd. Jeez Oregon. Your championship is slipping away, show some heart.

Wow, nothing going right for Oregon tonight. They look so timid against Stanford.

If anyone was wondering what a 'Bama-Oregon game would look like, just turn on ESPN. At the moment, it looks like that's about as close as we're going to get to one this year.

Stanford is teabagging Oregon, and ending their MNC dreams for the second year in a row.

I was thinking the same. Happy for Stanford, and still don't understand how we beat them (although if they'd just run at the end it would have been a different story).

If top 5 matchups can end up blowouts this bad (and worse with FSU/Clem), it just screams the need for playoffs. Either rankings are meaningless, or anybody can beat anybody on a given day. Either way, a system that awards championships on rankings alone is awful. Can't go away soon enough. And can't expand the playoffs soon enough.

Stanford, what are you doing?

How happy is Florida State (and Abu) right now?

I've been thinking that all night, definitely. Nice attempted comeback by Oregon, though. And it's not *quite* over yet.

Hat tip to the Ducks for making it interesting.

Man, how bad does Oregon hate Stanford for ruining their title run two years in a row?

I don't know about Abu, but I am hopeful

I hate rooting for anyone to lose (except for a couple of other Florida teams) but because of no playoffs... Thanks Stanford

Now let's take care of our business

Like most FSu fans, I'm hopeful yet still a bit unsure. have to take care of the rest of the games especially FL who usually plays us tough. Too many end of the year losses to be 100% sure we are going to the Champ game!

I believe we have a great team that won't falter but so did Oregon...

Well we will try and take care of Bama to really solidify your position Ego.

Go Tigers!!

Geaux Tigers!!

FTFY.

Great game last night (Stanford-Oregon, I mean). I tuned in midway through the third with Stanford up 20-0 and decided to stick with it even though it was late as hell and I had (and did!) go to work today.

The crazy thing is that I actually thought Oregon, once they scored on that blocked FG, might pull this thing off.

Gord lord Mariota is fast, even on one leg.

Best part of last night, Cal now is in position to send stanfurd packing for the alamo bowl. usc coming to Cal this weekend may be thinking ahead to the following weekend when they get to try the same against stanfurd. Stanfurd could be thinking ahead to notre dame during the Big Game.

Schedule lining up just like we hoped!!!

Poooooooooop.

So much for Oregon's "We Want Bama" shirts. Didn't take Bama to shut them for 3/4 of the game.

Btw, Bama fans have responded with some sweet looking "You Don't Want Bama" shirts. Grump, if you don't already have one, you might look into them.

As for the big game Saturday night, I'm gonna have to say Roll Tide on this one. Bama is a machine and an MNC lock. They're like the Borg. Resistance is futile, but A&M can still get the SEC's Sugar Bowl bid...so the inmates of the Louisiana State penitentiary need to lose this one.

I am probably going to be very wrong but I think LSU might win by double digits.

If the only thing you're off by is the number of digits, I think there will still be much rejoicing.

If Florida State does end up playing Alabama for the national championship maybe it will turn out better than the last time they played an SEC team for a national title.

Yeah, I think he's got the sign wrong.

Not that this works, we all know, transitive, etc., but LSU lost to Ole Miss, a team Bama shut out completely. Not that that matters.

Stanfurd lost to Utah, Utah has lost to every other pac-12 team. Unfortunately for them, they don't get to play Cal,
