I'll show you a picture of myself if you show one of yours. Deal?

Yeah, super good look! Not a ton of guys can pull that off.

I'm a pretty big fan of the shaved pate. Been lazy about it myself, but it's good stuff.

I'm on the left in the pic below.

Dude! Mad respect for cutting the locks for a cause. And I agree that the new look is a good one. Of course, that's the same look I sport when I'm not being a lazy bigger.

I would hire this law firm.

Meant to post this earlier. It's from the wedding I attended last weekend.

it should also serve as my day zero for Movember.

I've seen this before. It's a massive hornet's nest. The picture following this is a nightmarish hellscape of stinging and begging for merciful death.

It would have been, but I stunned the Hornets with the shininess of my suit, and my impeccable style. I proceeded to buy them all a beer, and now we're friends. True story.

So how is Movember going to work with the Drill Instructors?

If I ever become rich and afford to live where you do, I'm totally moving there.

Singapore? It's awesome here. Best of south-East Asia contained in a modern city state where near everyone speaks English. US greenback still stronger than our local dollar so you shouldn't have to worry too much about being rich, rather that if you have the relevant skills to get a job here.

What was it that made you think of moving here?

Ahem. Your lady friend.

Tbh, I'd love to live in Singapore, but it is seriously expensive regardless of the value of the dollar.

I'll have to post up some old grade school pictures and PAL soccer league pictures with David Blaine. Back then, I knew him as David Bukalo. Awkward kid with glasses and a mini afro. We used to be big into trading baseball cards and magic. Well, he did the magic. I spent most of the time trying to figure out how he did it.

Posted this in another thread so I figured I might as well post it here.

Going through photos from the summer, here's one with life lesson attached:

IMAGE(http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1272142/kro2.jpg)

Rules for hiking: don't run out of water in Middle of Nowehere, Ukraine. In the background you can see my buddy and about 5 hours of mountain range we had to walk on one glass of water each. What you can't see is further two hours of trail in front of us, that we had to do (mostly uphill) to get to the water. Jesus, that was a miserable day.

You'd think that after ten years of doing this we would know better.

Thankfully, I don't have to deal with drill sergeants anymore. That was just in basic. Though from what I hear they're bringing them back to AIT. Either way, I'm well done with that. Army regs allow mustaches, they just can't extend past the left and right edge of the lips, and can't cover the top part of the upper lip. The army 'stache pretty much looks horrible on anyone, but it's Movember dammit.

Ah yes. She is, however, spoken for. Please refer to my sig.

Hmm, in terms of migrating here and raising a family, yes Singapore is terribly expensive. The cost of getting a car or house here is astronomically high. But if you're coming over as an expat to work for a time, make use of our clean and extensive public transport services, don't mind renting an small apartment with a few others, you can still make out all right and enjoy your time here as well. Or at least that's what I've been able to gather from listening to others.

That's a great backdrop on the shot with you and your wife, FSeven. Is that a long walking path stretching out into the distance behind the two of you? Where was that taken? I swear I've seen that background somewhere before.

Two for one; you get to see me and my cat Mango! My mom snapped this whilst I snoozed, unaware. I like how my arms look sort of like M.C. Escher arms. Follow the lines!

Yeah, he was goofy as a kid. Didn't grow into himself until late in high school.

And I'm sure at some point my kids will insist they are adopted. My wife and my kids are wayyyyy too good for me. They assure me that I'm really a great husband/father/guy but I reassure them that the folks on GWJ would insist that I'm a completely angry douchebag.

Oak Valley Plantation in Louisiana. You've probably seen it as the plantation in Forrest Gump and numerous other movies. History aside, it really is a sight to behold.

Talk about Escher arms. I had to look at that picture a few times before my mind would accept that it's not just one extremely long arm wrapped around Mango and yourself.

I say this as a loving, caring NCO: You are probably going to wind up sporting a molestache. It's nothing personal, but you have to have a really wide mouth and a really narrow nose to pull that off without looking like either Hitler or a molester. But rock it out hard man, you rock that stache.

My wife and I just got back from a short vacation / travel for work in San Francisco. We rented a GoCar and drove all over!

IMAGE(http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7311/10784457743_f3a0bd436e_b.jpg)

They have a GPS with a radio which gives you suggestions on tour routes but you're open to drive where you want as long as it's not on a highway (They don't go above about 30mph, 10-15 up those steep hills). The freedom to drive wherever but still get tour info automatically fed to us was awesome!

IMAGE(http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5539/10784151896_50b48db276_b.jpg)

We toured Alcatraz which has a really well done audio tour. We also met some surly birds.
