Back to .500

Took down the #1 team in D1 last week. Can I do it again this week?

Oof. Lost by .5 in Keeper. If I had played a different QB or heard that Jimmy Graham was playing in time. Oh well, still having a great season

I feel like fantasy karma came back around for me. After losing one by .55 in DII two weeks ago, I won one in another league by .3. Smallest margin of victory I've ever been involved in.

Well I doubt I'll be able to dethrone you in D2 this week. I like your match-ups better. If Mudbunny wins again I'll drop back to 5th or 6th.

We shall see, your projected points are almost off the charts. Nearly all of my guys have plus matchups but I think Lacy, Bryant and Brees could carry you on their own this week.

Reminder: Trade deadline is coming up fast.

I love how I ascended to the #1 spot this week, on the back of my dominating 98.1 point winning performance.

Heh, that was against Minase.

Hey Minase!

I like how the top 3 teams in pro are all in the same division. I don't like that I'm number 3...

I like that Pro is still exceptionally flat as a league.

Trade PROPOSED.

OP updated to support new "feature". Previous week's scores now reflect previous week's rankings.

Edit: Also new, rankings are colored to reflect movement. Mouseover for a little more detail.

Blargh. Apparently Freeman is healthy but not going to play today.

Love picking up a bye week QB the morning of the game. Come on Josh McCown!

I was changing my lineup as the site locked rosters. Grump if you get a chance can you please sub James Jones for Kenny Britt in Dynasty? Posting here to show I requested this before kickoff. If you can't or don't think it would be fair, it is ok I don't want to make a big deal out of it.

Thank you Grump.

Post time check.

Looks like GWJ hasn't updated for DST yet, so Leap's post was indeed made an hour earlier than (currently) indicated (i.e. before kickoff).

Posting here, out in public, was definitely the right way to go. That way I don't have to worry about explaining to the rest of the league why they see a post in the league activity thread that says I "made use of Commish Powers". So thanks for that.

As for requests of this type, I'll do this for folks who have a well-established record of being good, responsible owners, but don't make a habit of it - I don't expect I'll be inclined to do it more than once a season (per owner). I'd also be much less inclined to do it in the money league so let that be a heads-up to the folks in Pro.

So, not Legion, but everyone else. Gotcha.

Mike James and Marlon Brown are trying to bring me back. Holy bye week heroes.

I'm getting flash backs of the time I declined to pick up Vick from waivers because I felt really comfortable with Phil Rivers. Could have easily grabbed Stacy in my non-GWJ league but felt like I would never use him.

I take back all of my complaints about my auto-draft experience. Thanks for Andre Johnson Flea-Flicker algorithms.

Where did it all go so very wrong?

Crap, I thought I had changed my lineup in Keeper... turns out, doing it on my phone is sketchy at best.. I get home today to find that a good half of my team is sitting on byes...

And, because this is one of the strangest seasons I've ever played. I think I'm going to win.

Madlolz.

Good game. Your team went beast on me and I have no hope of coming back barring some sort of record setting game by Jordy Nelson. I think Ray Rice is going to find a permanent home on my bench the remainder of the season.

The substitution of James Jones won't have any affect on Gnome beating me this week as I'm only up by 1 point with his James Starks and James Jones yet to play but I can admit that if this substitution resulted in me losing the matchup I'd be pissed.

It's not like baseball where you have to change your roster every day. Barring your team playing a short week (which GB didn't do this week) you have 6 days between last game and next game to change your lineup. If you wait until a few minutes before rosters lock to do so and end up getting locked out, who's fault is that? Why should a rule be broken to accommodate that? Isn't part of playing FF adjusting and setting your roster at least once per week? I was on the fence with playing or sitting Arian Foster this week. Between roster lock and kickoff, while reading injury reports, I realized he was active but wouldn't see any snaps. I had no one to blame but myself for not benching him. That was the risk in waiting so long to make a roster decision. Should I have chosen instead to ask commissioner to change my roster after lock?

It's definitely something I don't think should be done at all. At some point, if it's done, it will result in the commissioner substitution resulting in a win for the team who received that rule exception. It's not a matter of if but when. Mathematics. Rather than have to deal with that scenario, why not just stick with the rules? Set your rosters before roster lock.

Rosters don't lock until individual game time. You can set rosters on Thurs, Sun before 1, Sun before 4, Sun night at 8, and again on Mon., if you have players for those games.

And a lot of times you don't find out about active/inactive until an hour before game time. So there's plenty of valid reasons to be doing last minute adjustments.

I nominate that we have an award in Pro for 'Unluckiest' that goes to the leader in points against. I would dominate that award.

I'll disagree with the "just set your rosters once a week" comment. In this deep league sometimes a person has too make choices between a decent guy who is questionable and a bad 3rd choice. A guy may not practice all week and still play Sunday. A guy may be limited and not be made inactive until Sunday. It sucks that the inactives aren't solidified until noon Sunday.

It's incredibly rare. Not really worth getting worked up about.
