According to this chart he is a Funnel Web Grass Spider and isn't very dangerous.

Yeah, and who MADE that chart? SPIDERS, THAT'S WHO.

Note well: dead hornets. Do not try this with live insects. You will regret it, though possibly not for long.

I did not need to see that.

Holy.......................

Toyota recalls cars due to spiders. Not as awesome as it sounds though.

Saw this on Reddit a week or two ago.

I found another one in the back yard. Here are the best two (of several dozen) pictures.

He had some cool greenish/blueish highlights but non of my pictures captured it.

Plav,
Looks a bit like the Phidippus clarus I found at the cottage.

"Give my family smallpox, will you?"

Spiders on my face having sex while I sleep. Son. Of. A. Female Doggo.

They were pretty legit until they said "stuffing your face-holes with Almond Joys." No one likes Almond Joys. THAT'S A FACT, JACK!

Aww, that's not creepy--that's cute!

I don't know. I mean, I'm not even that into coconut, but sometimes, dangit, I just feel like a nut.

Yeah, so just saw a news story about Black Widow spider eggs being found in packages of table grapes. And they sometimes hatch once you bring them home. Nice.

UVAS NO!

I saw something similar as a kid though not sure if they were Black Windows. Sitting at my Grandparents table doing homework when I noticed one of the grapes in the fruit bowl start pulsing. Moments later little legs started to appear. I remember shrieking a little bit....

But I like grapes. Oh my god. What if.... You know when you pop a grape in your mouth and bite it, you get that gush of juice that squirts out? What if it was a spider grape? What if it was a spider grape?

Nope. I'm done with grapes. Never again.

Our resident work Spider Bro is still around, building webs.
It's mid November and the low temps have been reaching -10. The only thing I can think of is he found a hole in the building structure that allwos him to take enough shelter from the cold that it's not killing him and when the sun is hitting the side of the building it's super-heating the panels generating enough heat to keep him from freezing.

Possibly Identified:

Gray Cross Spider (Larinioides sclopetarius)

He is also protecting us from certain death.

I give you, SpiderBro

i'm eating grapes right now. Delicious spider eggs.

We always keep grapes in the house. Always. LM's photos are killing me. Gaah!

I always do a heavy rinse before putting them in the fridge.
