Corn on Randall's Cobb make me chuckle every time I see it.

Had a crummy week but still came out with the win. I should have put in Jacobs knowing that Wilson was out and he was the Giants main RB. Kyle Rudolph has been a bust all year so I was surprised to see he got 20 points.

I feel kind of bad for Old Man - #7 in points, #12 in the standings. Bad luck. But #1 in our hearts.

The Elliottx Expletives added $35 to their virtual coffers this week by taking over both the "Regular season most total points" and "#1 Overall" slots in Pro. Can they hold on to it? With only .8 more points than Cobble's Last Place Team, I don't think I've ever seen the total points battle this close this late in the season (not that it's really all that late in the season yet). The Heavies dropped from first place last week to fourth place this week.

The upset of the week is #9 50 Shades of Legion beating #2 Cobble's Last Place Team in Pro.

Shick Brithouse (Bandit0013) at #9 in D-II is the lowest that I can recall a division winner being ranked.

There are 0 6-0 teams, but there are 6 0-6 teams.

New feature this week: The "vs." text will link to the box scores (or projected scores) for each individual game.

The texas division is looking...not great this year.
WWJD continues its Browns like ability to lead a division with a scrub league schedule.

That's no upset. The upset was my team being #9 to begin with! This is merely the fantasy world beginning to right itself.

I know. It's beginning to royally piss me off. Dammit! I'm supposed to be good at this!

Such a sh*tty week for my DII team. I had a bye week score without any players on a bye. And, I lose Cobb. Awesome.

At least my Dynasty team is kind of good even though Richardson sucks something terrible.

If oldman goes winless and somehow leads the league in points, we should just give him all the money.

ukickmydog wrote:

I can't say that I'm opposed to that.

So right about now I'm feeling pretty dumb for taking Schaub as my back-up QB.

Spoiler:

It's the Saints bye-week.

Am I crazy to be considering Lamar Miller over Trent Richardson in another league I'm in? I'm sick of waiting on this bum!

Also, Top Shelf, you can exhale since it doesn't look like any stat corrections were applied to our matchup.

I don't understand the impetus for the trade up for review in Pro right now. Are you that desperate for a TE, Boogle, that you are giving up Cam Newton to get Scott Chandler (and a backup QB)? I don't really understand it from Legion's viewpoint either unless he would stream Newton and Kaepernick based on matchups... though he is giving up nothing in return for Newton so in that way it makes sense...

I haven't voted to veto it as I don't like vetoing trades in general unless there is collusion going on (dont think there is here, just looking to find some kind of rationale).

I can't believe I got Josephe Randle for free hours after the first wave of waivers were over.

I paid a buttload to pick him up I was in such bad shape at RB.

Chandler's the 12th scoring TE so far, that's a viable start, but I also have the 11th and 16th TE, so I have 3 guys all in that same area. Boogle has no TE with a pulse, and Chandler is well above what he could get on the wire. He will go straight into Boogle 's starting lineup.

Newton for me would be a matchups play. Kaepernick hasn't been as fantasy productive as hoped, so I want Newton to try and get a viable starter each week from starting whomever has the better matchup.

Kind of early to be looking at my WR situation for next season in Keeper League, but it looks like I'll have a good problem on my hands. I'm counting 6 WRs that if the season were to end today and a draft held for next year, that I would probably keep for less than they would go for in an auction (Pierre Garcon, DeAndre Hopkins, Percy Harvin, Michael Crabtree, TY Hilton, and Keenan Allen). I feel like the Atlanta Braves rotation, no true #1 starter, but rolling deep with #2s.

Yeah I think it's an upgrade for me an TE (goddamn you Gresham you sonofaFemale Doggo), and gives Legion a better match up starter at QB given both Kaep and Newton's sub par performance this year.
Smith is a viable upside backup and Avery is a decent WR2/3 depending on match ups.

This is a very reasonable trade, and even requires less explanation than the trade behemoth that happened earlier (wink wink, nod nod, various implications, I love you all don't veto this).

Eh, guess our views differ on the value of the players involved. Oh well, I'm not vetoing it, just not a trade I would do.

Also, my trade was epic and you know it

I'm not going to back out at this point but your analysis of the players involved would make for interesting discussion.

boogle wrote:

I can offer my unsolicited opinion of it. I'm not in Pro and this isn't a trade I would veto, but Chandler is barely a top 12 TE on his best days, and most weeks will be more of a mid TE2/desperation flex type of play in a 12 team league. The chances that he will ever be anything more than that are extremely slim. Newton, on the other hand, is almost always going to be a top 12 QB with the weekly upside to be a top 3 at his position based on matchups. That's not to mention going forward if Rivera unleashes him in terms of allowing more designed runs. He absolutely has the potential to finish the season as a top 5 QB, even after his rough start. I mean, look at his performance last week. I'm not saying he's going to score 30 points every week from here on out, but any given week he does have the potential to do so.

So, while the trade probably improves both teams, it improves the one receiving Newton a lot more than the one receiving Chandler. I passed on Chandler on the waiver wire this week in DII for Tim Wright. I think Jordan Reed is also a better start than Chandler.

Gronk has been cleared to play! I don't own him in GWJFFL but I do own him in one of my money leagues. I traded away Jordan Cameron in that league before week 4 thinking he was on his way back, so I've been relying on the likes of Coby Fleener (combined 2 points the last two weeks) and was going to lean on Jordan Reed this week.

From Rotoworld:

Rob Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, says his client has "now been cleared by all his doctors to play on Sunday in the Jets game."

Here we go. The return of Gronk is imminent and sounds as if it will happen this week against the division rival Jets. Gronkowski (back, forearm) has been practicing on a limited basis for over a month now. The forearm is what has been holding him hostage. Gronkowski reportedly had some concerns about rushing back after he did the same thing last season and re-fractured the arm. It was time for a decision to be made, however, and now we'll have to see how many snaps he's going to play. Gronkowski is a must-start in fantasy immediately. He's going to be a big help to the Patriots' struggling red-zone offense.

I'm just going to put this here:

Hahaha!

I try really hard NOT to talk about my fantasy teams in front of my wife. Now, if I get around other fantasy addicts, the fantasy talk starts pouring forth, and she gives me this quizzical look of, "WTF?"

Her: "Why do they call the Seahawks the 'Legion of Boom'"

Me: "Well, the Seahawks secondary appropriated the old DC villians' moniker of, 'Legion of Doom'...you know, Lex Luthor, The Joker, etc. And because they hit hard..."

Her: "What's a 'secondary?'"

Me: "Well, those are the guys that cover the wide receivers and try to stop the pass."

Her: "What makes you think I'd know anything about the term 'secondary?'"

Me: "Good point."

This sort of thing's happened many times. The most epic was me trying to explain 4th Down. NONE OF THE FOOTBALL RULES MAKE SENSE!!!!!!!!!!

When do I get to play the 0-6 teams in D1 for some wins?

Crap. I've already played one of them and I still only have 2 wins you say?

I put in Cutler for RGIII because he's been better lately and the Washington defense sucks. So, of course, Cutler plays like sh*t and now he's injured leaving me with 0.4 points at QB.

Romo Hail Mary INT at end of half is annoying.

Never mind.
