Wednesday Night WoW Details - Dec 1

Taking a page from the more experienced players (Certis and hoochie) and their Tuesday night romp, we will repeat it for those who prefer Wednesdays.

Time: 9PM EST

Duration: at least three hours, maybe more

Where: Blackhand server, Horde. Gates to The Undercity.

How Do I Get There? If you're undead you just follow the main road and watch for signs. The main city gates are just past Brill. If you're Tauren, Orc or Troll there is an airship tower dock just outside of Orgimmar you can take straight to the undead area. Keep in mind one platform goes to the jungle so make sure you pick the right ship!

For detailed maps go here > Article on Traveling Between the Starting Zones.

What Level? Level 10 and the target is Silverpine Forest. Lots of quests and mobs of the appropriate level.

Why the change you dirty cut and paster!:Uhhh I'm new and inexperienced but I have enthusiasm! I thought that The Barrens would be a good place to quest but after looking at it more closely it is geared to levels 15 and up with only a handful of level appropriate material. I also dropped Alliance out since the majority are playing Horde alts for the GWJ Nights.

Who will be there? post your info and I'll add it to the list
Dyrtnap - Undead Mage - RichyRambo
Hubb - Undead Priest - Hubbinsd
Dramarlyn - Tauren Hunter - Dramatic Marlin
Gwerendahl - Undead Warlock - fangblackbone
Bhonz - Undead Rogue - Eezy_Bordone
Bando - Tauren Shaman - Edgar Newt
Drusilla - Undead Warlock - ReggaeAmbassador
Bagglebee - Undead Mage - PsychoKillerZ
Krimreaper - Undead Warlock - PsychoKillerZ
Urgh - Troll Hunter - Propagandalf
Wrayth - Undead Priest - Lock&Load
Shattermaw- Undead Warrior - Cloke
Torcido - Rogue - VicD714

Hubb - Undead Priest

I''ll be there for sure, but I''m not sure I can play the whole time..a couple hours at least.

Be advised that there areas of Silverpine that are quite dangerous. For one, everything is aggro there; no neutral mobs. For two, there are these wandering mobs called Sons of Arugal, they are around level 24, aggro, and will kill a level 10 person in maybe two hits.

I believe they may also be elite. However, that may just be the ones in Shadowfang. All I know is that when I hit lvl 50 in the closed beta, I went back to Silverpine and stomped on them a lot.

Is the same Wednesday night as on gamecal? If so, gamecal says Horde OR Alliance, but your post only has Horde?

EDIT: NM, just looked at gamecal again, now says Horde only. But as for the ""majority playing horde"", doesn''t the Alliance guild have almost twice as many members? No big deal to me either way, just not sure this is accurate.

Hoping to be there.

Dramarlyn - Tauren Hunter - Dramatic Marlin

Leaping, My take is that the Horde characters we play are for this night in particular. In other words we only play them as group when we are on together. Whether this will be practical in the long run remains to be seen. I think the majority of alliance characters are people''s prime characters that they are playing all the time.

In the future we may just set a level (say 15) and a goal (say Ragefire Chasm) for the GWJ night. I''m still very new at organizing this so bear with me!

Gwerendahl will be there.

Gwerendahl undead warlock

I may actually work up a priest for this night...I''m becoming attached to my druid and I don''t know if I can play him just once a week

I was thinking of rolling a priest as well because I think we need some. However, I do love my undead warlock.

Ican put in a few hours wednesday.
Bohnz - UD Rogue.

Please edit my character. I''ll be playing Hubb, Undead Priest extraodinaire.

I thought that The Barrens would be a good place to quest but after looking at it more closely it is geared to levels 15 and up with only a handful of level appropriate material.

I don''t know if anyone else has experienced this, but my Shaman(who I accidentally zipped from 8 to almost 12, sorry) has been _easily_ soloing mobs 1-3 levels higher than himself, with little to no downtime aside from the occasional 10 seconds to wolf down a Crispy Batwing. And I''ve been unable to decide, so I haven''t even spent my 2 Talent points. A group of 5 should have no problems with level 15 mobs, even with adds.

I could be wrong, but I think a full group, even one that''s not ""balanced"", could push it a bit.

And DuckiDeva will be disappointed in the lack of an Alliance grouping.

Please add Bando (Tauren-Shaman) to the list. Given that I will be cutting it close (work-wise) and the que-line, I may be a touch late. But I will join everybody on TS asap.

If I take a level 10 out with the Tuesday night crew, he is likely to get a level or two. Would being level 12 +/- make me ineligible for Wednesday night?

I did this last night with Theseus (whoops) but I think I''m just going to power up an Orc tonight.

I empathize. Was DD going to have a GWJ-night alliance character or use her main?

Not at all! Could be helpful in filling out a group that comes up short on members.

Maybe there''ll be enough of us that goofed and went to 12/13(as I''ll hit 12 at least tonight) to form a slightly higher group.

The Alliance Blackhand is her main. She''s not hip on the undead or the undead areas in general. Too dark and depressing, I think, and I rather agree. I actually tried working that area the last two nights and around 10 last night just decided to go back to Durotar and do my Fire Emblem quest and explore. I''ll have to Hearthstone back to Orgrimmar and take a Zeppelin to meet up on Tue/Wed.

I''ve got a Paladin that I can get to 10ish pretty quick to go with an Alliance grouping, as my shaman is - to me - the quintessential soloer, pairing up with 1 other on occasion to take out named bosses, but mostly soloing and harvesting tradeskill materials or fishing.

Maybe we need a thread for ""Who wants to play Alliance on a GWJ night"", to see how many there are?

Ooooh, sexxay new section!

My son and I will be playing at least on the Wednesday night one. Probably no more than 1.5 to 2 hours, we are East Coast.

The girlfriend and I started new Undead characters last night with the hope of having them reach 10 sometime tonight. If all goes well we''ll both be there tomorrow.

Edit: Oh yeah. We are

Bagglebee - Undead Mage

and

Krimreaper - Undead Warlock

I''m in. Hopefully I''ll have my Voidwalker by Wednesday eve.

See you there.

Drusilla - Undead Warlock - ReggaeAmbassador

I''ll be there (late - around 9 CST) with:

Urgh - Troll Hunter - Propagandalf

thanks

My level 14 Warrior didn''t stand a chance against these guys. You can tell they are elite by the dragon wrapped around their portrait when you select them. A group with a priest may be able to handle one, if any of you can land a blow. I was missing 90% of my attacks on these guys.

Presuming I don''t get the marital eye of disapproval for being a complete addict (8 hours today ) my Tauren Shaman and I are in. I''m unfortunately just about lvl 13 from trying to get my friggin'' Fire Totem quest done. (Very frustrating with me missing where mobs are, fighting the wrong things, dying repeatedly). Like someone said, maybe us over 10''s will group.

Sons of Arugal are 23+ mobs and you will swing and miss unless you are there equal or better - just stay away from that area right as you leave the Sepulcher (to the left) and you are fine .

I should be there tonight using my Priest. My primary character might not be so primary any more, I''m really digging this character''s playstyle so far.

Wrayth - Undead Priest - Lock&Load

The time is almost nigh!

I will be running a little late tonight as I''m wrapping up tech on a show.

So here''s my thoughts:

Anyone using Teamspeak tonight hop into the Horde channel.

Try to set up equal groups so latecomers can join. If only six folks show at 9:00pm, spilt into two three-character groups.

I know there are a bunch of Eastcoasters who wan''t to start earlier, so post here your start time and hook up with your fellows -- us late comers can join you as we get on.

It going to be very casual and hopefully a lot of fun!

Once everyone shows who is going to show we''ll pose for group screenshot (I''m guessing by 10pm) in Sepulcher.

I shall be there (Shattermaw), barring any unforseen circumstances. What level is Dyrtnap now, richy?

I resisted the urge to play all week, so I''m currently at 10.5

Any problem if I bring along my, not quite lvl 10 (3 bbls from 10), rogue tonight? He will also be needing a guild invite, name is Torcido.

Not at all.

As to guild invites, hopefully Sway or one of the other Guild admins will be on.
