WoW-conomy.

I would also remember while you guys are crafting that there will be a huge influx of newbies at Christmas, maybe not as many on the server you are playing on... but I know I''ll probably start playing after Christmas, so hoard up on your low-level loot! Do it for the guys who have to wait till Christmas!

I don''t understand why they only gave a few cities auction houses. As a NE I havn''t had one chance to use the auction.

I haven''t had much luck at the auction house. I usually only put up green items that I can''t use and the guild doesn''t want, which I get a lot of because I can''t use leather or mail. The default starting price seems to be 1.5 times what the vendor pays, so I just leave it and set the buyout for the same price and still my stuff doesn''t sell. I''ve probably lost 10 deposits this way. I just sell stuff to vendors now. This is no low-level junk, these are lvl 13+ items.

I have not sold any of my crafted goods at auction, haven''t needed to yet and I''ve just bartered or given to guildmates, gotten my skills at 120/150 this way.

A few people in here complained of bigger bags, I can make 6 slot for anyone no problem, just let me know. I can make 8 slot bags if you have wool, takes 9, and am almost to the point where I can make 10 slot if you have silk, probably by the end of the week. If bags aren''t you''re thing I just got to the point where I can make shoulders last night, they take wool, don''t remember exactly how much. Give something like 28 armor.

can you make different colored shirts Leaping?

Hells yeah! I can make all kinds of shirts, white, brown, blue, red, green. I can also make ""stylish red shirts"", but haven''t done that yet so not sure what the difference is between standard and stylish. Also for the ladies in the crowd I can make dresses and for the Scots in the crowd I can make kilts.

Since my Dwarf wears a vest, I think a ""stylish red shirt"" could be fun... and a kilt would make a nice compliment if the armor rating is right.

In moonglade, I saw a ""Specialty Dress"" Vendor or Merchant...

I wonder if there is some kind of purely cosmetic tailoring for special events?

I''ve stopped carrying food around in the game and begun selling it or leaving it to make room for other, more valuable items. [Edit: You heal so quickly at low levels relative to your total health, and same goes for mana really] I''m guessing this will change as I level and my health increases much quicker than the stamina attribute does. Likewise for Mana?

Also - I''ve not seen food items which could give you ''well fed'' status since I played a dwarf. This isn''t a dwarven thing is it? Or is it a benefit of eating food prepared by skilled cook?

Also on that note, being drunk sounds like a worthwhile experience:

Drunkenness

Your character can become drunk when drinking too much alcohol.

* If you become more than 50% drunk, you will have drunk bubbles hiccoughing up occasionally.
* As you get more drunk, you start weaving when you walk.
* As you get more drunk, you start slurring your words in chat.
* Every 20% drunk you are, creatures appear one level lower than they actually are.
* Drunkenness is saved when you log out and fades over 15 minutes.
* Intoxication distorts your character''s view of the world to a fish-eye perspective (this happens gradually over time when you''re drunk).

I can make food to get you well fed.

Also - I''ve not seen food items which could give you ''well fed'' status since I played a dwarf.

Yep, I can too. Bring me some batwings and mild spices, that''s probably the easiest to come by.
I''ve quit carrying all but one stack of food for those dire instances where I''m in a bad place and don''t want to spend mana or risk just waiting.

Had my first go at using the auction house - listed an engineering plan and it sold.

Really suprised me as I play on Silvermoon which is medium-low population and there was nothing else listed in Orgrimmar which suggested to me noone was using it. I listed it at the suggested price and added a ''buy out'' price of suggested + 50 copper, someone snapped it up

So while I was happy my little experiment with auctioning worked, I''m now thinking I shoulda put a bit more coin on it

Edit - Spelling/ Price details corrected

I think I will spend tomorrow fishing and bringing that skill up as I have neglected it while leveling... The economy really doesnt kick in to the higher levels although I can make some decent caster armor and between all the pieces I can make - I think I am +6 spirit, +4 intellect and +4 Sta - I think - thats chest, legs and boots - I think. Made some for Richy and someone else and I think I see some gains at least in regen times and a slight increase in mana pool...

I just made my Tauren Shaman a Herbalist/Alchemist, and bought a fishing rod. (My first profession stuff since starting to play.) I''ve made a couple potions, haven''t caught a fish yet.

(Edit: Tired Mistakes)

grump, look me up, I''ll whip it together for you.

fang, there is. I looked through the tailor list, later I will be able to make stuff like tuxedos.

Ok, I really need to meet a Tailor and a Leatherworker and an Alchemist in person.
My bank is nearly full, even counting the extra bag slot I bought.
I have 4 bags and the backpack on me, all full except the backpack, which has 2 or 3 items in it. I have a full bag of Light Leather, 4 stacks/partial stacks of herbs, a partial stack of linen, a couple of Light Hides(assuming the rollbacks didn''t steal them) and a buttload of Quest Items I need to finish off.

But I don''t want to mail all that, because my level 12 spells cost 33silver, and that''s assuming there''s not any more hiding away somewhere.

So, I''m not going to make group night tonight, as I''m having inventory management problems and really need to knock out these quests, but I really would like to meet up and hand off a buttload of Leather and some Linen and Herbs.

I''ll be on /guild later, so if anyone else is trapped on the Orgrimmar side and needs this stuff, please let''s meet up. Please.

I can volunteer to be the alchemist. I''ll look you up when I get online tonight. Alternatively I think you can mail things COD. If you mail the stacks of herbs to me you can even COD them for a couple silver a stack and I''ll gladly pay. You''d be able to empty your inventory and make money on the deal.

Duck, as a beginning (skill around 60 I believe) tailor I can use all the materials I can get.

duck if you are on the Alliance side I could make you some bank bags no problem.

You can, but I don''t know what your monetary situation is either. Spells get expensive.

Besides, I''d rather trade Herbs for potions(especially mana and health), Leather for Armor(with stats even better!), and I don''t really need more 6 slot bags, I''ve got an empty or two just sitting in bank slots that I can''t afford to rent space for.

I doubt my lowbie herbs can make mana or health yet, so I will gladly pay cost on top of the donated herbs for any health or mana potions you''ve got handy.

Oh yeah, gatherers - I can resurrect now, so if you die while gathering, if I''m near, I''ll gladly save you a run.

Mail me your linen and wool COD - no worries Ducci... Spells do get pricey - at lvl 16 - I went from 1g and about 20 silver to about 60 silver after spells at 16 and they werent all that great...

Undreth is the chars name.

I could use some bank bags for Thag and Desteen, if you don''t mind Undreth. I''ve got some Linen to send you, not a huge amount yet, but I''ll keep it coming.

The first bank bag slot holder is 10s and the second is 1g. Not sure how how it goes after that!

X10 for each successive slot.

Ouch!

At least at this level in my career when I can''t afford all my skills when get new ones.

It would definately be a Good Thing for the guild if some of us who didn''t have a preference on what profession they wanted just took the gathering skills. Ronsy had herbalism and mining, and I think that I might just do that with my (soon to be) main Dylise as well.

More gatherers than crafters makes for faster skill lvling by the crafters, better gear for everyone, and less competition within the guild.

Which is not to say that I want anyone to drop their craft, but if you don''t know what you want to do, consider being an orewhore for our smithpimps =)

I hope that is directed at me. I would like the title of smithpimp!

Shouldn''t it be ''Pimpsmith?''

I was thinking Poopsmith.

Maybe, or Curb Randall Pimpsmithinstein!

Hmm. Grumpicca is a mining/skinning machine but I''m not sure she''ll take to being called an orewhore. She''s feisty like that.

You can send me all your leather COD. I have a bunch of gold so money is not an issue.

How do you fill up your bank slots? They give you like 40 slots for free to start out with. Thats a lot of stuff (i.e. junk) to fill up your bank and all the bags you carry on person. Start selling some of that stuff.

I''ve noticed that I am hitting a wall with leatherworking. I have my skinning up to 200 and leatherworking at 160 but new recipes I am getting require higher levels (like 25 and 30) to wear and I understand that I cannot train as an artisan skinner until I''m like level 35 or something. If nothing else, I can make some pretty good leather armor for y''all.

I''m not quite that high in those skills but I''m just about ready to jump to the wetlands where med leather is more common.
