Welcome to the Video Game Deals thread. This is NOT a trading thread, you can find that here.
This thread is for deals being offered by actual stores and companies. Personal sales and ebay auctions are not allowed. Thanks!
Did the other thread get too large?
Let's get this party started.
Metro Last Light: $20 (60% off) on steam
Mark of the Ninja: $3.49 (75% off) at amazon
4 hrs remaining on the Humble paradox bundle. Minimum $1 for 6 games, $5.80 to get Crusader Kings II + Magicka (expires: 2PM, EDT)
Mark of the Ninja ($3.49) and Crusader Kings II +7 Paradox games ($5.80) are absolute steals at those prices.
So, uh, you guys see any good deals on Darksiders?
Decent "Big in Japan" PSN sale has just started for our EU/AU people:

Question: Is Crusader Kings II something that would play on an Ivy Bridge ULV HD4000 laptop? Always looking for games that might work on that when I travel.

From what I have seen on the Paradox boards, it will work. The start menu will be choppy but in-game it should run OK by turning all the graphical candy off (trees, shadows, etc. none of which are actually needed to play). However, some people still complain about lag, so while it seems it will work, if you are sensitive to lag, you might not enjoy playing on that box. I think there is a demo for CK2, maybe try that out first, although they probably have not continued to optimize the demo. I guess I am saying that I have no idea but people have reported that it works OK.

Hmmm. Still deciding.
Of note, Civ V works with reasonable setting. With a great Windows 8 touch screen interface in tablet mode (Lenovo Yoga). I'd think this would be less intensive with Civ, but sometimes smaller studios aren't as good at optimization.
First!
Oh, wait....
So, uh, you guys see any good deals on Darksiders?
DARKSIDERS ZELDA FOR GROWNUPS SHIRTLESS JEFF GOLDBLUM BOOGLING DRAGON ON CAR

First, what you said. Paradox is better about optimizing their engine but not at the level of what a AAA studio can do (bnut does not always actually do), I would say. Also, Paradox games are hard on vidcards because a some of simulation code has supposedly been off-loaded onto shaders in the vidcard. So, while the graphics are not something that should make a vidcard chug, it is this extra code running as part of the simulation that can.
Goodbye, old game deal thread.
Hello, new game deal thread.

I dunno, $5 is kind of high, I'd hold out for $4.
Meh, it's no summer Steam Sale thread.
Darksiders II, $12.49 @ Gamers Gate.
(Think there have been better deals, but this thread needs to start out right.)
The king is dead! Long live the king!
Walking Dead 400 days DLC is $2.50 today along with a sale on all the episodes.
Farming Simulator 2013 $9.51 (66% off) - Steam's Weekend Sale.
I can already hear laughter from the back row, but the game is 100% legit, if not a bit janky.

I'm still disappointed that it's the one coming to consoles, and not ETS2.
I'll miss you giant dinosaur thread. But like nature, this thread will find a way.

Find a way toooooo....? Spawn new, more vile, memes?
Steam have Cities XL at 66% off right now. I've hovered over this for a good while, but at the same time have put next to no research into it. After the other game that shall not be named, how is this as a city builder? Do you start from an empty plot of land, or do you just have to make an existing city 'work'? I realise one of those question could be answered by me going and looking, but the other, I'm aiming for the collective awesome-knowledge-ness of the GWJ massive.

Not yet, maybe one of the additional games not yet announced..
I meant are they any good?
