Fall 2013 & Spring/Summer 2014 TV Catch-All

Pages

Each year I seem to get a little later as more and more summer shows bleed into the fall... Still, I think the only fall shows that have officially premiered so far were a couple of reality shows last week, so I'm not too late.

As per usual, these shows have their own threads. If I'm missing one please PM me and I will add it.

Agents of SHIELD
Almost Human
Big Bang Theory
Breaking Bad
Castle
Cosmos
Community
Dexter (final season)
Doctor Who
Downton Abbey
Falling Skies
Game of Thrones
Justified
Legend of Korra
Mad Men
The Newsroom
Walking Dead

Looks like the code converter I used to format the list also included some HTML links to trailers from CinemaBlend. So enjoy that little bonus this time.

There's another premiere list here that includes reality shows on Discovery, Lifetime, Bravo, Oxygen, etc.

Finally, here is a New Show Preview by TV Guide, giving some quick synopsis of the new stuff out there. Obviously we're all excited about Almost Human and it might even end up with its own thread.

Doesn't Justified have a thread? I didn't see it anywhere in your otherwise impressive post.

I'm so excited for this month! A straight week of new shows is the most exciting thing.

I am still mad that CBS broke up Thursday night adventure/drama night and moved Person of Interest to Tuesday. At least it does not appear to interfere with two other shows that I might record that night.

Link would have been nice, but I found it. :p

It wasn't tagged "tv" so I fixed that too.

Thanks for this. Now I need to be mindful of setting my DVR for the new shows we want to watch.

That's just age creeping up on ya, baby.

Shows I'm in for:
Agents of SHIELD
How I Met Your Mother
Supernatural
Legend of Korra

Shows I'm for sure watching:
Agents of Shield
Castle
Legend of Korra
Grey's Anatomy
Once Upon a Time
Elementary (once I've caught up)
Parenthood (once I've caught up)

Legend of Korra thread here

Just finished watching Season 1 with Demyx over the Labor Day weekend, so we'll hopefully be watching it via official streams if they exist (we only have basic cable). Otherwise, we're watching Agents of SHIELD for sure.

Updated.

When the first season was running, Nickelodeon would have the episodes on their own website within a day or two of airtime.

Yup. I think they went up on Amazon Instant Watch and others to buy even more quickly. It's sort of worth it to buy so that you don't have to deal with Nickelodeon's awful commercials and website.

On the other hand.. free!

Totally. Still, I just feel like throwing money at them for every episode.

Definitely watching:

How I Met Your Mother
Big Bang

Also going to pick up Dr Who, but I've got a couple more seasons of the 11th Doctor to go before I get on that.

I'm also more than on board for series 3 of Sherlock, but still no idea when that will air, other than sometime this year.

In for:

Legend of Korra
Supernatural
Agents of SHIELD
Almost Human
Arrow
Castle
Community

Oh, I might catch Sleepy Hollow - I like Clancy Brown a hell of a lot.

I feel like I'm missing a joke here.

Speaking of jokes, when I saw skylarhawk's listing of HIMYM and BBT, I imagined a fantastic mash-up :

How I Bang Your Mother

I will contact the good folks at Brazzers immediately!

Yup, that's what I did and it worked quite well. Crossing my fingers they provide streams again for Book 2.

Have you watched it? That's basically the show already. Well, actually it's How I Banged All These Other Women Before Your Mother.

I had to look up when The Neighbors is on because it's not listed there. It was surprisingly entertaining despite it's dumb sounding concept. Looks like they've put it on Friday (starting Sept.20) which sucks.

Ugh, time to start clearing my DVR.

For anyone not already dialed in and looking forward to another great season of Person of Interest, please note they have a new team member.

I do indeed love HIMYM. Not sure about this coming season's format, though.

I think both Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi have been added as regulars. Looking forward to it.

Fred has really filled out nicely.

Amy Acker is a recurring villain. Sarah Shahi went from recurring ally/nemsis to full fledged team member. My wife thinks that Detective Carter may be on the outs, as she was probably the weakest link in the show.

I've wondered more than once if they'd have the guts to kill Carter off.

For fans of The League, Season 4 just came out on Netflix yesterday. I was up way too late catching up so I'd be ready for the season premier tonight.

First episode of Trophy Wife is up. Not bad! Certainly has the potential to be more than a decent show.

New shows I'll likely tune into:

Sleepy Hollow

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Hostages

The Blacklist

Shield

The Goldbergs

Trophy Wife

The Michael J. Fox Show

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland

Man, Sunny is back. When I first stumbled upon the episode where Mac and Dennis pick up women on opposite sides of an abortion rally, I never expected I'd be watching Season 9 one day.

They had me at Pirate Door.
