This is basically Hero's Quest and other tabletop games involving a DM/Dungeon Master. I only saw this mentioned once on the forums, the game will be released 1/29/13, why haven't you purchased your copy and why is there little chatter about this game?
Dungeonland is a co-operative hack and slash game that takes players on a deadly tour through a medieval theme park. Playing as The Rogue, The Warrior or The Mage, the heroes will need to work together as a team to get past the evil overseer of this “Tragic Kingdom” – The Dungeon Maestro.
The truly diabolical can even take on the role of the Dungeon Maestro himself and wreak havoc on friends. Unleash the killer rabbits, drop some exploding frogs in their path, or whip up a giant fan and blow them all away.
Features:
- Strategic Co-op Gameplay: Utilize each character’s unique skills and weapons, combine their special powers to form all new attacks, or just plain hack and slash your way through this treacherous theme park
- Competitive Multiplayer: Play as the Dungeon Maestro himself and unleash evil on your friends. Summon your minion to thwart the heroes, conjure spells or take control of a boss monster and get in the action yourself. Then push the Evil Laugh button and let your sinister cackle reverberate throughout the land
- Replayability: The DM AI randomizes monsters, treasures and dangers each session to create a unique experience; player choice in equipping items creates endless combinations for more variety
- Colorful Game World: Three different theme park environments to explore, each with their own unique attractions. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop on the way out. The prices are to die for…
- Prepare to DIE: Dungeonland is a dangerous place – making your way past its deadliest attractions will be an extreme challenge. Only the hardiest of heroes need apply
Additional Info:
- Steam ($9.99), 4-Pack ($29.99)
- Full Controller Support
- Local as well as Online Co-op

There are various Dungeonland Dev diaries out there on Youtube. Check it out!
I just saw this in Elysium's weekly release thread, and it looks AWESOME!!!!
Total Biscuit did a preview of it. He was DM with 3 friends playing the heroes, and they had a blast.
It looked like Diablo meets Tower Defense meets Left4Dead Versus. In all the best ways.
People should totally be talking about this (and buying 4 packs).
Wear the Filthy Skimmer badge with honor. For we have all, at one time or another, been filthy skimmers. And it is our brotherly duty to remind each other, that although the path of the skimmer is quick, it is also treacherous.
Somehow I missed the whole bit about the DM AI. Now it actually seems interesting.
How did I live before digital distribution of old, cheap games?

This looks interesting.

Sound great, and I think the content from this is one of TB's best videos. Very interested, and we should know shortly if it's a polished MP experience.

That's what Kyo and I are waiting on. From Force's gameplay, it looks like the game is still buggy and from TB's videos they're still working out the kinks in getting multiplayer running smoothly (perhaps why it was delayed a week). Furthermore, the main appeal is DM mode while the rest of the game doesn't separate itself from other ARPGs.

Wow. I really, really hope that this takes off and the DM mechanic becomes popular. Think of what that could do for DM lead experiences. Just one mod friendly developer using the mechanic could open a great floodgate.

If this game doesn't end up on the Wii U that's a seriously missed opportunity for Paradox.
Agreed. Berzerk, Jam and I played some multiplayer tonight. Good times were had by all. Well worth the $9.99.

From reading the Steam discussion board, it looks like the one week delay hasn't helped address the issues they were having from beta.
I'm glad you're enjoying the game. I might wait for a steam sale or until said problems are fixed.

Interesting, I think the only issue we experienced was a single CTD. Otherwise multiplayer was solid.

Anyone one else playing this? Thoughts after a couple days of play?
I'm still interested as well, but the lack of posts after launch, and basically zero coverage from press doesn't have me enthusiastic.

I'm not seeing anything either. I just went to their page to see what is being said recently. I saw a recent patch post from yesterday. Looks like there are still technical issues and crashing. Ugh!

I could be down for trying this out. It's Father's day in Australia today so not sure what the family has planned for me. hit me up when you're ready to roll and if I can I'll be in.
I can only assume that when the antichrist arrives he will be left handed, Australian, and attempting to steal our womenfolk.

What time were you thinking, PWAlessi? As long as I don't fall asleep at the keyboard, I'm game for anytime.

Nice games tonight with Cyrax and Prozac. We'll have to do that again. We need a 4th to try out Dungeon Master mode.
