Temple... is now ready.
Should have gone non-BCS. Sorry.
USC...ouch.
game 1 is in the books
KSU lost to Ball State
Ball State had a below average running game against KSU. The HB with 91 speed and 93 acc didn't live up to his full potential but was a monster in the red zone tallying 4 TDs (new school record). But KSU has power house linebackers and a good RE. Ball State QB throws felt rusty in the 1st Q, but finally got into a nice rhythm. He threw 216 yards with 1TD 70% comp. Ball State defense reeled in 5 sacks and senior CB Jeffery Garrett came up with 2 picks. Coach Mai Tai would have had a shut out but simmed the 4th quarter after leading 35-0
Hawaii couldn't stop USC's offense, especially their running game. They rushed for 212 yards. Hawaii kept it relatively close behind their QB's 570+ yards passing. Might have had a chance had I not also thrown 3 2 picks...
Let me know what you guys are seeing in the AI in terms of balancing the sliders.
The only thing I noticed in my game is that my defenders can't catch INTs when the ball is thrown DIRECTLY AT THEM WHILE THEY ARE STANDING STILL.
Maybe this is needed to keep the CPU competitive, but it's frustrating. It could also be that my guys have hands of stone...a distinct possibility given their volcanic origins.
Also, USC's QB hit on 77% of his passes, like in your game. I don't actually think that's a problem given that 1) this was USC against Hawaii; and 2) my QB hit 82% of his passes for 571 yards!
Duke beats Ark. State 31-16. Offense did ok had 2 picks and a lost fumble. Couldn't get a real good rush going until the 3rd quarter but my QB was able to hit some deep passes early on to help build a lead. On Defense my RE set the school record for sacks with 4 and the rest of defense chipped in 3 extra. And my corners came up with 2 good picks to kill drives deep in Duke territory. Passing wise its hard to tell if it needs to be changed mostly because at least on the AI side of the ball my D-Line kept getting pressure so the QB kept throwing the ball away. On my side I threw 2 picks and had 2 passes broken up and a couple throws out of a sack. So I will reserve judgment when I play a better team.
Temple lost 31-7.
I don't mind getting blow out, but I damn near lost it when their 4th touchdown was thrown to the back of the endzone, receiver jumps up I bounds, catches the ball, and steps down out of bounds.
Reviewed and the call stood. Horrible.
I tried to save the play, but the Xbox crapped out. It saved the game, but not the replay.
Kansas didn't lose this week!
I will get my game in sometime this evening.
Looks like week 1 is finished.
nice! I'm gonna roll it.
i'm not cool enough to online roll. lame.
Lame.
Hawaii bests Oregon State, 41-38, on a FG as time expired. It looked pretty bad when I let them score 28 points in the first quarter! However, my 17 point fourth quarter helped.
More importantly, though, I may have found some help for my running game. Hawaii's first two HBs are SLOW. They're rated >85 in speed, but I guess the game things that since they're power backs, they shouldn't run as fast as a DT. My true freshman HB (formerly 3rd string) will be taking over the starting job from here on out. He can at least get to the line of scrimmage before getting tackled!
It's really a shame, however, that the second string, redshirt freshman wasn't able to take over the job. If he had, I could talk more about Steven Lakalaka. I love that name!
The game locked up during the upload of replays and such, so it seems like al that took was the final score. So the web site has no infor from the game, but it was there when I rebooted and checked out the dynasty in the game.
Kansas rolls UMASS 38-13. It was kind of an ugly 1st quarter, and James Sims fumbled in the red zone. Jake Heaps was player of the game, throwing for 252 yards and 3 TDs. But it was really Sims that dominated the game with over 150 yards rushing and two TD's.
UMASS was rated much lower than Kansas, so all of this is with a giant grain of salt.
This was Jahwan Edwards game
In the season opener he looked sluggish and slow. This week he proves himself to be THAT starter than can run it all. Amazing how 1 week in practice and hes fired up. Looks like the coach is going to stay for a while.
Side notes: Defense looked unstable with the option game army was running in the 1st half, but in the 2nd half the defense became a wrecking crew.
QB Wenning had a complete game with a 220.6 passer rating tallying 309 yards with 4 TDs. WR Snead had a solid day making 2 TD catches while the WR on the otherside of him is FAST! the TE Fakes had the longest reception (60 yards), but that QB was throwing darts. only 1 reciever was under 15 avg yards in this game.
Ball State 56 - Army 39

Leroyog, I am liking the sliders. it feels more real than ever. you have to look for the mismatches and you have to start learning what the opposing offense is going to do. if you make 1 mistake they will take advantage. I cant wait to play NIU late in the season.
Duke beats Akron 41-3. The defense stepped up today with 5 picks to set the tone of the game. As for the offense the O-Line seems to have a hard time pass blocking so leaned real hard on the running game. Thankfully though my running backs were able to average close to 8 yards a run. Next week is the first real test as Duke will take on Georgia Tech.
Kush needs to play/recruit still
Bill needs to recruit.
Moving along pretty good!
Anybody have any slider feedback?
I will recruit before I leave work. I will play either today or tomorrow.
I recruited on the website. I hope it took.
Game played as of this morning. Temple loses 41-31.
