Madison, WI S&T - Saturday, July 15th (Updated for 2017!)

Updated for 2017!
bhchrist is hosting on Saturday July 15th. Bring beer or food please

I spammed out some PMs since this got buried pretty quickly. Hopefully there's some interest

I'll be watching this thread. I can't commit to anything on those dates yet, but I'm generally pretty open to any good excuse to come to Madison.

Sundays would work better for me but just because my wife works on Saturday. Count me in as a definite maybe.

Keeping an eye on this! I'm in Madison, so if I'm free I'm in I'll put in a vote against Labor Day weekend. The weekend after would be good, although I might be able to swing the weekend before as well.

It wasn't till I got home from the last one of these that I realized how bad I am at board games. So...maybe.

I'm in for any of those dates. I might need to crash on someones couch for the night since I'm up in Neenah.

If you drink enough, it won't matter to any of us.

I am a dope and didn't manage to remember to respond to this thread, even after Phish gave me a gentle nudge.

The 31st and 7th are probably slightly better for me, but I should be able to make the 24th if that's better for everyone.

[Edit: good point about Labor Day weekend. It doesn't impact me, but other folks may be out of town]

Yeah, I didn't look at a calendar for things other than dates, so I missed Labor Day.
I'm on vacation now, but will update early next week with more specifics.

I'm back from vacation and have double-checked my schedule. August 24th is totally out. Given that the 31st is Labor Day weekend and folks may have cookouts etc to deal with, let's settle on the 7th. I've updated the OP to reflect that.
So. Who's in?

You know if some of the Chicago folks wanted to visit a place with trees and hills for an afternoon/evening, I wouldn't be offended at all.

I'm in.
Yay for meeting new Goodjers!

In.

Will also ping a couple of my non-GWJ friends who I think might enjoy an S&T - thanks a ton for organizing things, Phish!

If it's more too the afternoon and evening I should be able to make it.

Do we have a starting time frame? I need to plan my drive.

Let's say 3pm until late. We can figure something out for dinner, perhaps pizza again.

Put me down as a solid maybe right now. These next few weeks are really busy for me, but as of right now I'm free that day and would be down for some gaming.

Looking pretty probable I will be there.

Well count me out then.

Spoiler:

3 will work fine for me

3pm sounds good. So let it be written, so let it be done.

6 more days...

Hey so about that. I've been roped into an event* for my wife's work**, and we need to move the start time to 5pm.
I'll send PMs out to folks this week with my address.

*Box seats for the Badger game
**I really do have to schmooze though, and so will need to unwind a bit.

This is all unacceptable. I will be at your house, drunk, by 6 am.

I support this plan.

Sorry Phish, it's not unlikely that you'll be coming back from the Badger game to at least one police report.

Spoiler:

I kid, I kid - I'll keep Psych distracted with baked goods until you're home - have a great time.

Funny story: I used to do that for every 11am home game. Wait. That's not really all that funny I guess. Ooh boy college though.

Food:I have pita chips and some hummus, as well as some tortilla chips and guac for snacking. We can order pizza and split the tab if that's cool with everyone.

Beverages: I will have some beer, likely a local APA and local Marzen (Woo Oktoberfest season!). I will also have some NA beverages (including Mexican Coca Cola). If any of you would care to bring a six pack of something you like, or anything else you'd like to consume, please feel free.

So here's who I have confirmed:
Psych
Dimmerswitch
Norfair
TigerBill

Dreaded Gazebo is a maybe. I'll send a PM tomorrow if he doesn't check in.
Ely expressed interest but has not weighed in, so I'll send him a PM tomorrow as well.
The other four of you should have PMs in your inbox with my address and some guidance on finding directions. I said it there but I'll say it again here: Do not count on your GPS getting you all the way here. Look at Google Maps before you leave just in case
Saturday should be a ton of fun, and I'm looking forward to it!

I'll be driving Psych over, and have been to the Phish residence.

+1 to his suggestion of checking Google Maps beforehand- it's a relatively new development, and I don't believe Apple Maps showed the location accurately when I visited earlier this summer.

Does the pizza place have subs or, is there somewhere nearby that I could order one. I've been trying to cut out dairy because, I have suspicion that I'm lactose intolerant.

Won't be able to make it this weekend after all. Life got exciting lately (in a good way) and this weekend is filling up. Next time though!

Boooo!!! (but really a yay, for exciting things).

On my above post about food; wings will work too (since most pizza joints, do wings).
