It's as though they made the Command and Conquer 3 demo just for me. Wonderfully bad FMV starring Michael Ironsides, Billy Dee Williams, Grace Park and the hot girl from House. Honed to silky perfection engine that looked amazing without sacrificing frame rate. Classic franchise waiting for a genuine rebirth with all the charisma and character that made the original games great. It was, in an instant, like reliving the first time I played Command and Conquer: Red Alert, and within moments I was sold.

Without any hint of question or doubt Command and Conquer 3 is the Game of the Week. Put aside your well reasoned animosity toward EA, and reward the company for paying proper respects to a deserving game franchise. If you believe in voting with your dollar, then you can't always vote no. Welcome home, Kane!

The Settlers for DS is the one everyone keeps talking about?

Am I the only one considering NOT playing C&C 3 in multiplayer, for fear of ass whoopings? I don't know if I can keep up with the ultra-fast RTS games anymore, I've heard some of you people use hotkeys. Terrifying.

Not at all. I gave up on multiplayer RTS after Age of Kings. There are hotkeys? How come nobody told me?

Yes, but it was pushed back. Or at least EB Games says, meaning that you won't get it until I think 5/22 if my memory recalls. I only vaguely saw the change in the computer before being swarmed by little kids wanting Madden.

...The Red Star, talk about back from the dead.

Either way, I'll be picking up The Shivering Isles for Xbox 360.

Woohoo! DDR Universe here I come!

I wanted red star for the xbox! Damn akkaim for going under!!!! Maybe if we play our cards right it will be an XBLA Game?

Buy the PS2 version and download the xbox version? Just depends on how ethical you are.

Eh? Come again there sonny? I just want an xbox version to purchase!

Maybe. I'm considering not playing C&C 3 because Supreme Commander exists.

Because Akklaim folded someone in the company (dev or publisher, not sure) leaked out the xbox version like almost 3 years ago. So if you're not that ethical buy the PS2 version to support them and download the xbox version if you have a modded system. Just depends on how ethical you are. I stopped following the whole saga once things quieted down after Akklaim died so who knows if they will ever release the xbox or gamecube version.

That's why I don't play online with strangers, but only with friends. We make up some quick rules to make the game more fun for both, and we ban rushing all-together. Playing online with strangers just makes every game in a rush match, where the one with the best build queue wins.

I like my RTS with lots and big battles, so no rush, and preferably even no attacking of harvesters.

WII:
Medal of Honor: Vanguard (03/26)
Disney's Meet the Robinsons (03/27)

For a minute I thought you had created a new WWII category. Meet the Robinson's as a shooter would be awesome!

Supreme Commander seems very 'meh' as far as single player goes. Great concept, but the execution seems lacking. It's way less intuitive than any other FPS I've ever played, and the artificial building build limit is annoying as crap, doubly so without being able to queue buildings as per C&C.

I may not get into multiplayer C&C, but I don't think I'll be spending much time with Supreme Commander, no matter how shiny it is.

Oh, and on the subject of Hotkeys: not using hotkeys is the way to destruction.

Settlers of Catan comes out on XBLA this wednesday, no?

Let us know whatcha think. I'm considering making that my first DDR try.

...uh... for my wife. Yeah! That's it! That's the ticket!

*crosses fingers* Please, EB, call me and tell me C&C is in. Today. Before 1pm, when I will -be there-.

*sigh* But they told me tomorrow.

Well, what we think is going to depend on whether or not our Red Octane dance pad works with it. It has a USB (as well as a PS2 and an Xbox) connector but I get a sad sinking feeling that it won't work, and that if we want to play the 360 version of the game new dance mats may have to be bought.

For those of you that didn't pre-order C&C, Circuit City's ad yesterday said that it would be on the shelf Tuesday by 5pm for $39.95. Great price for a brand new game.

Uhm, you mean besides holding SHIFT, the way you queue any orders in TA/SC? Or are you talking about something else?

Arguement going nowhere my friend. He's brought up the game's supposed negative aspects every possible chance, be it relevant to the topic at hand or not.

Anywho, I grabbed the Kane edition of C&C 3 for $50 through a friend. I likes. I likes a lot.

You're right, of course. It's just staggering out how many of these negative aspects are flat-out wrong. Not matters of opinion, but just plain factually incorrect.

Oh well. I'll sure enjoy the game.
