Nah, just competitive. It was my own fault for volunteering to take over a team in an already established league. I tend to shy away from them for a number of reasons.

I wouldn't keep anyone on the team, but that's hardly gonna kill you considering we all keep a few players and that's it. I'm eyeing up two or three players to keep, so I'm more or less in the same boat.

Now if this were a dynasty team, it'd be different as you'd be stuck with a buttload of mediocre dudes ... and Brady.

Yeah I usually keep the most players each year and that is 8 or 9 total. And half are usually bench players that I feel are worth paying a dollar or two extra cause I still think they'll break out.

I'd still keep Mike Wallace and Adrian Peterson from that team, you won't be able to get either one for that price this year. As teams have struck gold the amount of excess cash for non-kept star players has grown.

Today was officially my first day back paying attention to FF. I reupped my subscription to the ESPN podcasts.

Go buy the Football Outsiders Almanac.

Also, if there are available slots in any other leagues (Keeper, Division III, etc.) I would be happy to take them. I've sworn off all non-GWJ leagues this year and I usually field about 8 teams so I'm up to the task.

You were top of the waiting list for Keeper and having now reclaimed your spot on the list, are first in line for the spot that Laarrs just opened up (as long as he doesn't change his mind) so check out the keeper prices and start thinking about it.

Oooof. That's a rough team. I'll bow out of the keeper league.

Ok, since FEELINGS...

"I am bowing out of the keeper league because I am not worthy to lead this astounding team nor am I up to snuff to compete with the rest of the league. I have succumbed to my own cowardice and it's best for everyone involved if I cede way for a more capable owner."

Everyone happy?

I'd like to re-claim my spot in Division II for this season.

And since you quoted me as well, I'm good if you're good... and if you're not, well I already apologized.

Done. Reminder to all that today is the last day of "preferred registration". Previously, this meant that anyone who hasn't signed up by today would lose their spot. Starting this year, what it means is that, after today, returning players can still attempt to re-claim their spot but they will only get in once I've assured that everyone registered during the first phase has been admitted (space permitting).

Thanks for the poke Grump. Ever since the new "My favorite topics" feature was added, I find it incredibly easy to miss new relevant threads.

I will be returning to my horribly average Keeper and Pro teams.

Hey, I have at least 1 good keeper! Aaron Hernandez is going to domin..... oh, yeah. Nevermind.

After ripping on the keeper team I took over from Boogle, it was an appropriate comment.

Yo. I'm here. Division 1 I think.

Sorry, I don't check the general sports forum that often, usually just my recent posts. Thanks for the PM.

Totally good. Just goofing around.

Ahhh, well that explains it.

I'm in - and thanks for the poke yesterday. In for Pro

I'm still in the Auction Keeper league. As long as ya'll have me\, that is.

Does that mean you're retiring your D-II team?

Ckozelic, you're next on the list IF Iridium884 doesn't show up.

Show up for what?

Sorry. I marked you as checked in (or out) for Dynasty and Standard but didn't highlight your spot on the Keeper waiting list. (Note: This is why I ask y'all to double-check the registration log.) Anyway, I've got you now, so if you want to take over Laarrs' team (linked in your quote), it's yours.

I had forgotten about my DII team, so I'll give it up... just too many for me to keep up with.

With only Brouhaha unaccounted for, we've only got 31 players registered for the standard format. We're obviously not going to field a fourth league (i.e. D-III) again this year, but we need a couple more to fill out D-II. If anyone wants to un-retire, there's still time to change your mind. Otherwise, point some folks at this thread if you know of any new people who might be interested.

Finally, be sure I've got you on the waiting list for K or D if you're interested in getting into either of those formats in the future.

Count me in if you need someone to grab a second team outside of pro

I'd be happy to field another team if it fleshes out a league just as long as I'm guaranteed the best team in the league.

Cobble wrote:

I'm more than willing to accept 2nd teams from higher-division (or other format) managers anyone not already in D-II.

FSeven wrote:

You're already in D-II so... yeah.

wrong thread!

When do we start organizing draft times?

Once we know who is in what league. Speaking of which, there's a little more than 24 hours left until the cutoff and I'm worried that we're not going to have enough to stock D-II. Anyone not in D-II want to double-up? Alternately, if anyone in that was previously in an upper league (ie. .D-I or Pro) wants to un-retire, that would have the same effect (i.e. getting us up to the required 36 teams in the standard format).

Of course, when I posted that, I thought registration ended today. It ends tomorrow. Regardless, even with cobble doubling-up, we need 3 or 4 more teams to get up to the 36 required to fill out 3 leagues so if anyone knows someone on the fence, send 'em here. Also, brouhaha is the only manager from last season who hasn't checked in. I PM'd him on 08/07 but if anyone communicates with him regularly, make sure he didn't just forget about this. Thanks.

Sorry I'm late to the party! Count me back in for D-II.

I'd like to play in any league that will take me. Looks like I'll have just stated my interest in the nick of time.

Put me in, Coach
