Awesomenauts Catch-All of Awesomeness! Now on Steam!

So I see they are slowly starting to roll out some official merchandise. The first being a miniature version of Clunk. The only pity is the 30Euro price tag excluding shipping for a 10cm tall figurine.

With that said, I think Checkm-8 is going to go crazy when he sees this http://www.gametoys.co/clunk.html

Heh, indeed. I had a friend stop me from wanting to buy four of them to give out in a future tourney

EDIT:

Also only five teams have signed up for the tourney and only TWO more days left. :-/

Don't people care about free $20 steam cards anymore as a prize?

I wish I could unfortunately I'm working away from home during the week and also well you know the time difference and all. I see you are 1 achievement shy of completing Awesomenauts achievements

I can prestige right now, but I think when I get 50/50 I will 'retire' from the game

It's great that you're running another tournament but scheduling was really difficult for our team last time and we weren't competitive in the least, so I'm going to call it good.

Understood, it's round robin this time and even if a team is unable to play that week or can't use bots/sub as replacement it's a point based system. From there, those with the highest point total will enter the bracket.

During the fall I'll hold a smaller tourney that is more US based. In the meantime, msg or post here of any games you would like as prizes!

Happy Anniversary (again) this weekend!

Great game, no matter how much I rage.

Just wanted to post four tournaments:

Awesomenauts Pro League (APL) - Will be starting up again, will open it up to a wider audience instead of capping at a certain number, and now a total of five players can join a team.

Awesomenauts Worldwide Championship (AWC) - Signup start in November and it's geared toward regional play. Hopefully this will curb the ping problems

Awesomenauts Reddit Tournament (ART) - Signups start now and the tournament begins 8/24. I'm interested in teaming up with anyone here.

Humble Bundle Nauts Tourney #4 (HBN) - The one I run, things are going smoother this time around. I have some ideas on what I want to do on Tourney #3, but would like to bounce those ideas off you guys first.

I'm about to wrap up Tourney #2 by next week, but since the aforementioned tournaments will be underway as well as school/college semester, I might have to alter they format. Ideas as follows:

- Round-robin format, similar point format
- If a team donates a game to the cause they get 1 point (max is 1 point)
- MIA teams get 0 points instead of the current -1 while the team in attendance gets 1 point
- Team with the most points within a certain time frame gets a guaranteed prize
- The points obtained by the other teams are then entered in a raffle, obviously the more games you win, more times that team is entered in the raffle with better odds of winning
- This encourages everyone to play because even teams which don't do well can still win something.

I probably won't start this up until around October.

If a team donates a game, and happens to win all their matches guaranteeing them a prize, is their donation locked out so they get a different game (not that it's super important)?

If the population size of the teams remains where it's at today (10 teams) then I don't mind spending the time tracking.

I was telling checkm8 last night it would be pretty insane if they reach the $500,000 mark. Imagine the possibilities with steam workshop. Perhaps they should focus on that instead of an expansion

Love the Cthulhu one. SMB reference is nice.

Throwing this out there. But what do you think if we pool our moneys together for a $160 tier so we can name a bot in the name of GWJ?

I guess it depends on what that actually means. I'm already in for $30, so I may contribute 10 if it's a noteworthy reward.

When you are in matches and there are bots, they are named by the kickstarter backers. I think kyo might be interested as well. We can split it up three ways, but it would be cool if more contribute.

Just a thought, we have a few more days

Heads up everyone. Awesomenauts is currently 66% off on Steam!

50% off skins excluding Swiggins. Go go go!

I would just to post a response I got from Ronimo about the tournaments I've been running lately.

Some good ideas in there. Also I have a few keys to give away and will do so in the near future. I just need to gather all my emails and sort them all out. Of course, if you do take one from me you are obligated to participate in future tourneys. It's a legal binding contract people!

I'm toying with the idea of hosting another Awesomenauts tourney. This time it'll be a 1v1 deathmatch format using the custom games option from the new Starstorm update.

If there is interest, please let me know. Yes it'll be mano-a-mano, but the prize pool will probably be wider than 1-3, the matches will be shorter, less time organizing since one does not have to wait on teammates, and I am considering implementing a randomnauts feature where players select for a pool of nuats. Should make things more fun.

Thoughts? Thinking sometime mid-latter half of December.

Been playing some local games of this online with my roommates, we seem to make a good team since we're undefeated so far! Having a co-ordinated team of 3, even though my roommates are relatively new to the game, against pubs is probably a little unfair though.

Might trip over some latency issues since I'm in Australia, but I'd be up for that!

We had our first defeat the other day, I guess we've moved up the leagues enough to start going up against some nastier opponents (I think we're all in roughly league 5 at the moment).

Judging by how many hours you've put into this (around 10 times as many hours as me!), I'm sure you could give us some pointers, heh!

Sure...have everyone on your team add me. We can do some 2v2s sometime. Don't be intimated by the hours I put in...I still suck.

Awesomenauts, Flash Sale, next 5hrs, $0.99 cents

Sorry to bring this up again but I've recently gotten into this game and was looking for other goodjers to play with.
Friend me up if you're keen.
