Ok, I can give you the dates now:

When: 9-26 through 9-29
Where: Cleveland

Board Game List

Tickets are now available

Room Reservations

That's right, September. We'll see how that goes =)

I can tell what you're thinking. You're thinking, "wait... 9-26? That's a Thursday. The mad man!"

And you'd be correct, official kick-off will be Thursday evening instead of Friday. However, all the House Competition stuff will happen on Saturday so that we snag the most people for it so don't worry if you can't be there Thursday.

The event will be in Cleveland, basically just outside of the airport so if you need to book a flight, please fly to CLE. I'm not releasing a ton of info about the hotel because I want to wait until we have a portal for you to sign up.

Hotel rooms will be $80 per night, so not too shabby. There's a $6 breakfast buffet every morning. Sorry, I couldn't get them to kick in for breakfast without raising the price.

Pencon tickets will be... an amount of money. I'll math it up this evening and put them on sale later today (I hope).

Announcement of an announcement? Bold move, and I like it.

Where's the countdown clock?

Sheesh. Spam bots are choosing avatars and tags now.

Certis delete thread plz.

One word to remember for your mathing, oily: taxes.

yeah yeah...

yeah yeah.

I thought no one voluntarily goes to Cleveland?

I'm interested in attending but that's the weekend of my 30th bday...

Not sure if I can come this year...

I am so glad it is this weekend and not the one after (going to IN for family stuff).

You shall see me and my magnificent beard!

Spoiler:

Unless I decide to shave. Either way, you will see me.

So...anyone takin' the train?

Remember those of you in big cities... Megabus goes to Cleveland for almost nothing. I used to do Cleveland to Chicago roundtrip for less than 50 bucks.

Unacceptable - it is a great way to spend a birthday.

Unacceptable - you have to at least send a representative.

Now I need to ensure that I can make it. I will do my best - last year was great.

For those not in the know, this is the genesis of how the P&C forum became known as Cleveland.

Wasn't in the know, but in all seriousness... There's an Amtrak station that's a pain in the ass to get to near the Browns stadium. My wife uses it to travel to Chicago and New York instead of flying. Arrival and Departure times are like 3 AM - 6 AM though so plan accordingly.

Also, this.

Sorry, too late of a notice for me, maybe I can make it next year. Have fun!

On that note... Has anyone tried to list all of the major S&T's in one place? For those of us whose wives plan ~1 year ahead...

Holy crap! Worcester to Cleveland by train is 14 hours and only ~75 bucks one way! That is fantastic news.

The problem with that is that most S&T's are rather spontaneous, and not annual events.

Seriously... I took the train when I lived there try the bus. (Although its been 5 years since I have ridden it.)

Get hyped. Excellent work, Oils.

Yuuuuuuup, sign me up! Also, sign MrsDomano (with a possible PvtDomano if we can't find someone to take him) up as well.

Assuming nothing ruins our plans in the next two months, expect there to be fudge.

What does the near future hold?

I'll need to look at my calendar.

That fudge last year was the best fudge ever.

Unfortunately we JUST made plans to go to Iowa for a half marathon that weekend. We'll have to decide what happens with that, now.
