The Division (Tom Clancy's) - Catch All

Man, that does look really fun.

Lobster, clearly I'm playing shooters with the wrong people. Sign me up.

We obviously haven't been playing together enough, because that dialogue is way too tame.

Ahh - was a bit confused. I thought it was an SP with MP backing. Watched the trailer while trying to get a baby to take a bottle.

Likely because what they showed, in terms of basic gameplay structure, looked exactly like what you would get from the co-op of Gears 3, FUSE, etc.

I'm still excited about it, but I didn't see them going out of their way to make it look like an MMO as that term now works.

You miss the class and skill menus?

Almost as much as I'd miss seeing 30 identical "heroes" with homophobic ID's over their heads standing around a vendor.

was talking about the menus that were clues that this was structured like a MMO and that you missed them in the video

Ah, damn. Well, maybe on the next Gen.

Any 80's songs we can sing in your honor?

I desire this game. I want to watch the high def feed while nude. I think you know why.

And anything that annoys ranalin.

Ha!

I don't play with ranalin, but I will try to annoy as many people as possible. This is my promise.

Will there be a PC version?
We are optimizing the experience for next gen consoles. However, we are not ruling out any platforms for the future.

I guess that's as good as it gets at this stage.

Mass Effect 3, mostly. And I never got into BF3. It just wasn't what I wanted after the glory of BC2. I think I'm in on 4, though, so next time we're online together we should meet up.

Tagging, super-intrigued by this one. So, it's a console MMORPGer? yes?

Apparently. Though the demo didn't really cover how the MMO aspect I'll work.

Happy Dave wrote:

I'm guessing lots of instanced areas.

RPS is reporting that Ubisoft is "encouraging PC gamers to sign a petition, this one, if they want to see Ubi’s spectacular looking post-apocalyptic shooter, Tom Clancy’s The Division, on PC."

Problem is ubisoft ports especially done after the fact tend to be cluster f*cks.

Hm interesting, normally I think petitions are worthless but if they are actually encouraging pc games to sign well... that means someone is listening, and possible fighting to get this on pc. Suppose I'll sign this one.

I initially passed over this one, thinking it was just another modern military-esque shooter. Then I saw the terms "MMO" and "RPG" attached to it, and had to check it out. I'm so glad I gave it a chance; that game play demo blew me the eff away. The scope of what that game could be with the right community and group of friends is making me tingly in all the right places.

If it's a launch title, it'll most certainly be that with the PS4.

Fall 2014

I think it's slated for sometime in 2014, like seemingly all of the really interesting demos. I'm still a bit nervous about signing a petition that asks for my home address, but maybe I'll just leave that part blank.

Oh gawd, that's like a million years away.

Well I signed it but most my information wasn't real.

2014 has become my least favorite number. Dragon Age, Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2, Titanfall, etc.

However, when we get to 2014 it is going to be stacked, I would add Destiny, Dark Souls 2, and Witcher 3 to that list.
