Giant Bomb Bomb-All

I'm no reviewer myself, but I read enough good ones to know a bad one. I could gather a bunch of evidence and write up a cohesive argument, but that seemed like a colossal waste of time whenever I was tempted to do so. Besides that, Giant Bomb's output is evidence by itself: he's authored four of the last seventy-two reviews. He's never been hired as a reviewer.

P.S. My Monster Hunting heart has a doak-shaped hole in it. Slacker!

Their quicklooks / unprofessional Fridays are selling me on more games than I care to admit.

Hah after a finals break and the other time I took off of it, I fear it's all gone away. Plus, I play too much Dark Souls.

Me too. Heck, just having the Cart Life track playing in the background on Unprofessional Friday cost me another buck.

It's like riding a bike, I swear. But, if the fire no longer burns...

Well, I've bought Prison Architect, Cart Life and Gunpoint in the past 3 days thanks to those guys

I'm ok with podcast that don't have Patrick and Rorie.

This. So many fun little QLs with Patrick that I hope don't go away.

Rorie is a machine on the live events with the polls. I don't mind Rorie if he's just the in house chat moderator and question relayer...

I've been good and just put them in my wishlist and will wait until the steam sale...

I can't stop laughing at their impression of Herb Layton

I'm the Professor of Boats! Gets me every time.

The "Thor Odinson" one is my favourite. On my phone so I can't post it but...man.

I spent more time this weekend playing Cart Life than I care to admit.

It was, however, awesome, and I can now make bagels and spit out catchy phrases about my limited product selection with much ease.

Thanks, GiantBomb!

Patrick's section on Unproffessional Friday's was brilliant this week, made even better by Vinny's - make sure to enjoy it if you can

The only thing that sucks is that vinny was going to play Kerbal Space Program before getting sidetracked with that game.

Man, I miss the old DS(i)/WiiWare reads.

(Pro-tip: Auto-Subtitles are great for added insanity)

This one still kills me. It's also inspired an idea for another YouTube series for my channel once I have some time. Something involving random title from download services such as WiiWare.

Damn that was golden.

Man, I miss those as well.

DOTA sucks.

ROFL

The rampant unprofessional and haphazard attitude of that group continues to amuse and amaze me. Spend 30 minutes on the podcast talking about how horrible a nightmare their experience was renting out studio space at E3 last year. Why? Because they decided to choose a spot sight unseen. Meanwhile, they are uncertain if the spot they rented this year will have access to electricity or even easy access to proper power sockets, but would rather just make assumptions about that then put forth the modicum of extra effort just to confirm that kind of information with the renter.

Where'd you get the impression that they didn't do so? Sometimes people just don't have the info you want at the time you want it. The way I heard the conversation, it sounded like the renter said "sure we can have that [internet] set up for you by this date... 95% sure, by Sunday" or something along those lines.

In any case, that's exactly how serious I want my game journalists to take their jobs.

Jesus...

Giantbomb's E3 studio location was broken into. According to Jeff, they lost all the equipment they left there, which is almost everything they had. Details to come(?)

Edited!

Please keep me updated. I won't be able to watch streams or access the site easily for a few days.

Stream is up

Update:

Jeff briefly addressed the issue on a quick stream. There will be no live show tonight. I will create a link to the blurb once it's up on Twitch.

Jeff's Stream.

Site Update from Rorie.

What a shame.

Jesus. After all that joking about it on the last Bombcast.

At least they're CBS now. I could see how this could have buried them back in the independent days.

They would have had it insured, I'm sure the only real impact here is their e3 coverage and Vinny's time getting things configured how he wants.

Poor Vinny.

:[

And wasn't the space they rented making a big deal about how there was always someone on site watching the place? Sheesh!
