Castle Catch All.

Yeah and I love Ryan and Esposito too much for them to get left out.

Anyway, the way things were going 3 weeks ago, I totally expected the final scene tonight.

Yeah I think that was more a "get serious or you're going to lose her" drama. Maybe a proposal in the season finale.

Show can't go forever. Would like to see them married at some point before it's over.

What I don't like about it is that Castle already has a second home. What's a 3rd home in DC to him? Of course they partially explained that away with her saying that she would be too busy for him if she took the job, but still... is there no one in that office that has a family or some significant other?

My wife and I agree with Stele -- we don't want any extended story line that takes away from Ryan and Esposito's screen time.

Well, the attorney general has his first grandchild!

Want to see pictures?

The Office has split up the cast for parts of seasons in the past. Jim worked at a different branch. Michael started the Michael Scott Paper Company. They were both temporary changes and everything returned back to normal (sometimes despite stretching believability) so I think a brief stop in DC could work. If so, I wouldn't be surprised if her cases end up sending her to New York anyway. Wouldn't that be a convenient coincidence?

I agree with a lot of what's been said. Castle's a writer, he can work anywhere. Alexis is off to college. He could easily keep his place in NY and let Martha live there while getting a second place in DC.

I think it could be interesting to have him bounce back and forth for a time. Helping Ryan and Espo with a case one week, Beckett the next. Though Castle doesn't necessarily have the clout to finagle a tagalong with Fed Becks.

I don't think the swapping would work for an extended run, but a few dude-bro eps with the guys could be fun.

I'm totally seeing Beckett getting transferred back to NY as a NYPD liaison for the FBI.

Beckett and Castle are going to go to DC. Ryan and Espozito are going to get super powers and join SHIELD.

I'd watch that!

Ok, why all the talk of Lexis "not going away forever?" Is she leaving the show and the producers are cramming the foreshadow down our throat?

Was wondering the same thing myself!

I found an interview where she talks about what she hopes will happen with her character in season 6, so I guess she's sticking around.

This would be the greatest show.

Maybe ABC and Fox could team up for a Castle/Bones episode.

You're right, both networks are very well capable of that level of pure evil.

If we're going to talk evil crossovers, how about Elementary? I'd love to see Castle run a hare-brained theory by Sherlock...

Oh, God, Elementary. Sir Arthur Conon Doyle must be death rolling like a croc in his grave over that abomination.

The lead character could just have easily been called Joe Smith.

"But wait, we'll make him British and bastardize a classic literary character for the sake of brand recognition."

You make it seem like it's a new phenomenon.

Except that D-Man's assumption is way off-base. Like the show or not, the character has far more than a name an accent derived from the source material. Claiming such means one either one was not all that familiar with the source material, or doesn't watch Elementary.

I wasn't even going to get into that end of the argument. There's a lot derived from the source material; the main differences are time and place. That, and Watson being an Asian woman who let her license lapse instead of being an Afghanistan vet. Either way, I very much prefer Moffat's Sherlock, but since there are so few episodes of that, Elementary will help me pass the time.

I realize there's more there than just the accent. His involvement with drugs and ridiculous attention to detail. I've read some of the Holmes short stories but definitely not an expert. I have also watched Elementary. My daughter is a fan.

My point is more to what sometimesdee said. I feeling making it modern and in America detracts too much from the source material to maintain the name. With what they kept, it just seems more like House without the medical license, but keeping the Brit accent.

Ultimately this is just my opinion and wasn't meant to offend the fans. It just feels more opportunistic than an homage to me.

I think you guys missed the entire point to Elementary. Which is that it can't be like Moffat's Sherlock or else BBC will sue the pants off of CBS. CBS approached BBC and said "hey, we want to do this, but we are going to MAKE SURE we don't steal anything of what you've done other than the British Sherlock." And honestly, I don't care that Watson is an Asian or Sherlock was a drug addict. I think if you take issue with that - particularly Watson being a woman and Asian - then you have a problem. Does that mean you'll have an issue with this digital comic reinvent? I don't know. Sherlock and Watson have become a lot of things over the years in many different adaptations, including mice. So reinventing the characters every single time isn't new.

I'm not calling anyone a racist, I just think they need to get over the fact that Moffat's Sherlock and Elementary are both occurring. Moffat is not the greatest person ever - I could list the reasons, but that could go on forever. You can be a fan of Sherlock or a fan of Elementary, or both. But this entire "fandom" war needs to stop. There is no "greatest show/version ever." There is just television. /rant

I'm sorry this veered away from Castle.

I still maintain that Castle vs. Elementary's Sherlock would be an epic character clash.

And considering that House was supposed to be the medical version of Sherlock Holmes, we've come full circle.

Castle is great (although I was a bit let down by the final few episodes).

Elementary got better and better throughout the season, and ended up being my second favorite show (behind Person of Interest).

Sherlock is fantastic, but the seasons need to be longer.

Slight spoiler for tonight...

Spoiler:

Episode is "to be continued" next week

Spoiler:

She said yes!

I bet he dies.

At the ripe old age of 92. Contracts were signed, after all.

He really is ruggedly handsome.
