Strangeblade's Thread of Wondrous Things

During a friendly game of Battlestar Galactica this Sunday...

These three players were so cute trying to convince me they were not the Cylon. Awww. I just assume they are all Cylons and were one misstep away from being vented into space.

I voted Bryan out of office. Apparently by throwing lots of resources into my election so I guess I bought votes? Weird.

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/czJ1BQG.jpg?1)
Bryan has three loyalty cards. He's gotta be a skin-job.

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/gJt7oOO.jpg?1)
And of course the Cylon was my wife. Her and her metal-heads boarded Galactica and blew us to hell.

EDIT: Of course, I was playing the President and I used my presidential pardon to get Katherine out of prison. I thought another guy was the Cylon and Katherine tricked me. I was a lousy president.

So I started a second run (possibly fifth) this time with the cast of The Walking Dead. They all sucked.

Really?

WTF?! How hard is your ass?!

I decided to put Daryl down for his transgressions. It felt good.

Man. I've asked my co-workers not to follow my Strangeblades Twitter account. That really sucked to do and I hate myself but it's the only way to be sure.

Seriously, the way I'm seeing people get in sh*t for posting silly stuff to their 'one' and only Twitter account makes me shiver. And I've never worked with others who had their own twitter account. So, I have a serious work account and a funny and silly account.

Still feel like an ass though.

Unfortunately, it's become the norm now. I know the last place I used to work looked at applicants' Facebook pages. Not as a specified part of the application process, but more as a way of "gauging the flavour of the applicant's social behaviour for supplemental consideration". Needless to say, the 'fun' applicants were never hired...

I tried to explain that Facebook was a 'social network' and they should turn their attention to LinkedIn or similar as that was a fairer gauge of their professionalism, but it fell on deaf ears. Even the Unions said their hands were tied as the Internet was public space, and users were free to browse. People could switch privacy settings to on if they were concerned, but how many of these young kids today worry about that sort of thing?!?!

:old:

Yeah. It sucks, but I understand the trust placed in me and perception is part of it. I write about people's lives, I expose their literal crimes for all the world to see. I've embarrassed several institutions when they screwed up by writing about those screw ups. They could undermine the trust I've built with my readers by attacking me with what I do for fun.

Well, I flipped and flopped. I should be free to be myself. I cannot suppress who I am. What I do online is no different than acting up on stage in a theatrical production.

I told my co-workers to follow me as they wish.

Totally agree.

I think that's fair, as long as you let them know it's your 'personal' twitter feed... It's no different than if they stumbled across it from some random search, just don't 'promote' your feed outside of your work mates in your working circles.

Nice compromise, and the body count still stands at zero (or so they believe)

Heh.

What is Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon?

Remember folks - FC3 Blood Dragon is not just a send-up of 80s cartoons. It’s a tribute to ALL the awesome stuff teens loved in the 80s. Violence, cheesy lasers, neon, boobies, guns, bad Cannon movies and horrible un-PC crap. It has more in common with the first Heavy Metal movie than anything else. SYNTH!

Need proof?

You could not get more 80s than this sh*t.

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/spj61Fq.jpg)
Robot dinosaur that shoots lasers out of its eyes? *self-pleasure process has started*

I'm not nostalgic. I never wished the 80s would come back. I'm happy that it's here, slicked, chromed and modernized for the year 2007.

"What? Oh right. I should be wearing safety goggles."

Surgeon Simulator Drunk-O-Lator will be going on tomorrow, May 4, at 6 PM Pacific Time. Would you enjoy it recorded for Youtube or live via Twitch?

Hmm. I think it would be easier if I recorded the game and myself playing it and uploading it to Youtube. This I will do. Now I must drink.

far cry 3 blood dragon..... game.... possibly the greatest.... ever made..... I like periods.....

Do I make you horny baby? If so you should get that looked at. Looks quiet serious. I had an uncle who died from what you got.

Probably me. Just taking a stab in the dark. Whoops. Sorry. Get a doctor somebody?

Man, recording video of myself and a game I'm gaming is hard. There's been a slight delay in Suregon-whatever I called it while under the influence. Stay tuned for more (BS).

EDIT: Where's Coldstream? I miss him.

Election day in BC.

So, turn-out looks about how it does in the USA.

You think North America should go to mandatory voting like in Australia? You know right? That land full of women-stealing men?

It was the first thing we voted on (you know, just to even out the distribution of stolen women).

I heard that turnout was low due to a 'creepy looking dude with a shiny head hiding a suspicious looking package (in his pants) at the polling centre'. Could just be a rumour of course!

Spoiler:

(diffuse me baby, diffuse me, I'm about to explode!)

I knew I'd heard it somewhere before, and it wasn't just part of a repressed memory/trauma

Psyching myself up for medium-depth beach sand run. I think it needs a little more...

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/TBXtpgw.jpg)
...yeah. That's it. Now you're getting it.

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/IMjA8kz.jpg)
[b]My current sand route is only 800 metres long. I do this six times and get 4.8 kilometres worth. I carry two 5-pound weights, one in each hand, and do pushups between laps.

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/MBW8F2q.jpg)
My normal route is 1,000 metres, but construction on the beach put a stop to that for now.

That election shot got added to my wallpaper folder.
