Monaco Catch-All / Don't-Get-Caught-All

Just pulled the trigger on a Monaco four pack before it went off sale from the official website. So I have a key, maybe more, depending if my friends want in. PM me if you are interested on getting in on it.

Crap, just missed the 10% off sale. Might hold off for a bit now.

I'm debating skipping free drinks on a product manager for this.

Is the product manager hot enough to drink off of? Or at least clean enough?

Me too. If there is an available spot on a 4-pack, I'll take it.

Fired it up and enjoyed some coop action with some pubbies. Definite potential here for fun with goodjers. I'll be looking for a game after 2000 MST, barring in-law invasion.

I believe that's about the time that carrotpanic and I planned to be on tonight. (That guy still needs to pay me for his copy of the 4-pack.)

I think I'll have the house to myself around then. I'll try and join you guys.

Oh, you can pub too? I was hitching to get a game for my b-day, which is today...

Someone still got a room for a 4-pack?

If not, I'd be willing to work something out with you. This looks like a pretty sweet little gem.

Don't forget me dude.

Since the Xbox version is delayed until some unknown date, I might want to double-dip and pick up the Steam version now. Anybody got a spare copy from a 4-pack?

Who is available right now? I'm itching to give it a go!

I've got a spare key - PM me and I'll send it through Steam. Paypal contribution would be greatly appreciated.

PM sent.

Okay, Oarsman and I figured out how to create a friends-only game -- it's unfortunately not immediately obvious.

Whoever the lobby leader is needs to create a private game; from mission select, that's X, X, down, right, space. Then select a character so you get the mission prologue text, but don't press space again to become ready. Instead, press X for "match options", and from there you can get the Steam friends invite power. It seems that using the "Invite to game" feature in Steam chat only works for public lobbies.

Let me know if I have stated this incorrectly or if any of you find a faster way to set this up.

ADD: Once you have formed a group in this manner, you can also change which mission is selected, and the group will not disband after completing a mission (until you press Esc to "leave party").

I managed to get the #1 time in the first locksmith mission(Prison Break) before I had to head out today. Am I still there? Nobody would dare beat me, would they?

OK, got it up and running, haven't really had a chance to dive in though. Will try to be on maybe around 8pm-9pm pacific tomorrow night. Hope to track a few of you down for some fun.

Good missions tonight. Hurray for new friends! All of you needed to be revived less often than Boogle.

Anyone got favorite characters yet? I know some of you haven't met the full cast... Also, I mentioned this in-game at least once, but I'm content to play any character (at least in the first storyline) so newbies should feel free to pick what they want if I'm in the gang.

Hoping to be on after 2000 MST again tomorrow.

Sending out a few friend requests! Who knows, maybe I'll be on at the same time as you guys out of sheer luck

Played for about an hour on the couch with Demyx last night. I usually don't enjoy stealth games, but this one does a lot of things right which makes it very easy to get into and understand the rules of the guards' AI. Plus it's not instant game over if you get caught which is one of my gripes with some games that opt to include a stealth sequence. Love the art style and presentation so far.

So far I'm liking the Locksmith and Pickpocket. Lookout is a distant 3rd since it's mostly a support character. Sleeper and Mole seem a bit situational to me.

Played 20-30 minutes with cyranix druidspeak and umo.

Was fun, but my kid reminded me she needed attention too, she was asleep but tend to wake up often. So, I couldn't play into a coop game for too long.

I'll definitely play some more.

The Mole is hilarious. Subvert all the levels! The Lookout seems like the most valuable asset to a team of players as long as she keeps sneaking, with the Cleaner being a really good combo.

Anyone know if I can turn on shared vision permanently? I got really tired of having to hold the Y button last night.

Lookout's ability is also active when they're standing still. You can just toss them in the shrubs for protection while the rest of the crew gets to work.

I thought it was active while you were sneaking?

It is, but it also activates when the lookout is standing still.

What does Y do?

Oh, I thought "Shared vision" was a toggle button. Will have to fiddle with it and see.

While holding it you will see what your teammates are seeing as well as your own vision (the same thing you get if you were playing local coop). Without it you just see your teammates wandering around in "fog of war" without any extra info from their positioning. I'm baffled that the default is to leave it off.
