Minecraft Multiplayer: GWJ World

That thing is incredible, and I lucked into a Silk Touch pick while there!

I farmed until I was up to 103 experience. Why? Because I could. I think it took less then 30 minutes all together. Getting to level 30 takes you under 1 minute. There is also no shortage of ender pearls anymore either LOL.

Can cows pass through the end portal?

I think they can now, but I have not done this myself.

Oh whoops, I thought you said nether portal. End portal? It'll probably end up in the lava.

Where is the End portal? Is it signposted somewhere?

Yeah, you'll find signs pointing to it when you enter the nether from spawn.

blue, good sir, that enderman grinder is fantabulous! The only problem I had with it was the ridiculous lag that ensued after about 5-10 minutes of punching enderdudes and not picking up their jewels. Gotta remember not to go AFK-autopunching for too long at a time. Astounding work good sir!

EDIT: I was thinking an incinerator nearby would suffice. The four chests near the grinder are nigh full already with pearls.

Couldn't one just replace the floor with Hoppers that dispense straight into the void?

The hoppers dispense into receptacles (i.e. chests, hoppers, furnace etc) If nothing to dispense into they just store it. Only other way is to have it go into like a dispenser/dropper on a pulse timer and just have it crap out into the void.. kinda like my flower incinerator at the bottom of the iron farm.

The other problem with hoppers is that in the very center of it is roughly ~1/2 to 1/4 block "dip" that the enders might be able to sit in and could f* with the design of the grinder.

How does one go autopunching? My hands hurt from punching Endermen with their own pearls!

I want to make some sort of ender pearl disposal system. I would like something the empties a chest into the void or lava. But not sure how to get them from the hopper out into the world easily, also I would like it only grab ender pearls and not say the diamond sword that someone puts into the dump chest by mistake. If anyone has suggestions or way of doing this let me know I'd be very interested.

I'm not sure I could replace the floor with hoppers, it might affect the enderman fall damage or allow them to get out slightly. Which is why I think a disposal chest is the way to go.

I'm using hoppers to collect drops from my witch grinder and as far as I can tell the game just considers the hoppers to be a regular solid block when calculating fall damage.

G15 keyboard with the left-click set to a macro... any macro system that allows mouse inputs would work though.

Checkout my rose disposal system in the iron farm... works like a champ. Need like 4.75 stacks inside the hopper to make it work properly. Once the .75 of a stack gets to a certain point it triggers a pulse timer and the dropper starts cycling until the hopper is back to it's 4.75 stacks. Essentially you need enough pearls to fill the hopper + the 4.75 in the hopper (which you already have more than enough of).
As far as drop dmg, it's as ruhk stated.. I used it on an early prototype zombie grinder b4 the blaze farm and now ender-grinder were in full swing. There is the possible problem of them "dipping" below the level of the blocks their heads are behind though due to the center being slightly lower than a full block though.

EDIT here ya go blue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_YA...

I think @ 7:05ish is where he gets into the dropper part.

Docm77... so much win.

Einbjorn helped me get a disposal system setup. It "should" only take ender pearls but you probably don't want to do test it. The chest is to the right of all the enderman just drop your excess pearls and it will shoot them into the void.

Agreed. His crew and he have some great vids, it's where I got the plans for the iron farm, I just added more floors and doors to increase the spawn rate of golemns.

I brought blaze rods to the ender farm and ender pearls to the blaze farm.

So you can have cows in the nether but not reeds and you can have reeds in the end but not cows?

While old hat compared to the blaze and ender farms, I put the finishing touches on New Solara's skeleton grinder. The skeletons fall onto a series of hoppers for me to kill. The items then get shuttled into a waiting minecart chest. When the chest is full, it gets launched off to my sorting system closer to our base (The grinder is a few hunderd blocks away from New Solara) The cart is emptied and the contents are automatically sorted into different chests for bones, arrows and bows. Other then adding some more power rails its working pretty good.

Philosopher, I just visited the ender farm. Very good job on that, it only took a couple of minutes to repair both my pick and my spoon. I harvested/replanted/stored your plants that were ready for a harvest in a bit of repayment.

Spoon?

Shovel methinks

Just checking... maybe there was a new tool for eating mushroom soup or something...

So for those who are using the enderman farm, or just want enchanting info in general I came across this site(http://www.minecraft-enchantments.ne...). It gives you % chance for getting the various enchantments at certain enchant levels and on what items, including books. Can help if you would like to maximize your chance of getting that certain special enchant you want. I really like it for the book chances since that tends to be what I am enchanting.

That's quite interesting to see laid out like that. While many of them work how you would expect, there certainly are some that do not. Thanks!

Very nice, very nice. Ty sir! Gonna have to try my hand at some books now.
On a side note with the enderfarm... I have found that with my auto-punch macro I can run around the drop area punching into the center and amass all 30 levels in WELL under a minute.. something on the order of about 30-40 seconds. I have to actually stop in a corner in order for the xp bubbles to catch up to me as they begin to block my line of site, it is quite hilarious.
For those of you who are curious as to the macro.. it's on the G15 legacy macro system and consits simply of:

Left button down
Left button up
0.005 sec delay

- all that on a toggle, so I simply press the button and run around like a crazy man on fire... works great. With the delay in there I can't break blocks so I can sit there and punch a wall all day too if I fancy it

I set up a similar macro in Autohotkey. But you know what super sucks? Endermen are immune to splash potions.

Quintin_Stone wrote:

The potions in the chest were potions of weakness, not harming. Harming might work...

From the wiki on Endermen

"Another complicated method using brewing is to kill them is to use a splash poison potion II (16 seconds). When poisoned they will not become alert and quickly be lowered to 1 health. Next hit them with a sword to kill them in one hit. Make sure to carry a milk bucket to cure self inflicted poison and be cautious that it may take two hits to kill them if the poison is administered wrong."

I am guessing a Potion of Harming would work then. Will try it out.

The weakness potions were me screwing up the brewing of harm potions. The reason I put them in the chest was because they were useless. Then I brewed up 2 batches of harm splash potions and they did nothing. The Endermen didn't even pretend to teleport away, they simply ignored it.
