...and it's not Fallout.

Prey2 in a modern gritty style?

...Bethesda, your priorities are...

Elder Scrolls
Fallout
DLC for either

THAT IS THE LIST!

Hehe, in all seriousness, if they want to take their open world goodness into a new setting, I'm in. New genre? Ehhhhhh... we'll see as more is revealed.

IT'S FALLOUT!!!!!!!!!

I'd be glad to see them do something new, I think they're a bit constrained by the conventions of TES and FO that they need to do something separate to experiment. I'd also like to see them experiment with making a smaller game, less size more depth, just to see what happens. Don't do the "Elder Scrolls/Fallout with _______" formula.

The 'problem' is that they're set up and expected to make big grand games, so that's probably what they'll do. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just rolling another Bethesda game off the production line which isn't too interesting.

Finally, the game version of Barb Wire that we have been hoping to see for so long.

Honestly I kind of hate these trailers that give no information. Yes, it is a teaser but they might as well be showing us grass growing for all the information and context it gives.

I'm guessing they're teasing for E3, look out for everyone doing it. Enjoy the next two months.

Is this Bethesda the developer or Bethesda the publisher? Bethesda the developer would be interesting. Bethesda the publisher has a shoddy track record.

It does its job. Look how many of us have commented on this thread in the 15 minutes since the OP went up. It gets people thinking about it, which is the entire point of marketing.

Good point. I think people are putting this together with yesterday's announcement that they were done with Skyrim, which might not be the case.

Judging by barbed wire and the time frame of the music, I say it'll be an open world WWI era RPG.

Bethesda Softworks are pleased to announce that they'll be bringing Rogue Warrior 2 to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U this holiday season.

On the other hand, don't forget that Bethesda bought the studio from the former Starbreeze founders and the studio that Mikami created so even if it isn't Bethesda Game Studios, it still could be an interesting project.

Also, didn't Bethesda publish Dishonored?

I'd be very interested in a more action-oriented game based on the Rage engine. Back when I first played Fallout 3, I remember my knee-jerk reaction to combat was that it was terrible. "Oblivion with Guns" it was not. (Shortly thereafter I had that "aha" moment when I realized it wasn't a shooter.)

Playing Rage immediately felt remarkably smooth and accurate. Sadly, I didn't like to overall game that much. Now that Bethesda has the tech though, I'm curious what they are going to make with it.

Is there any doubt it will have a first-person interface? To me, Bethesda games are as much about first-person immersion as they are about open world exploring. However, Bethesda always seems to want to move away from the first-person perspective.

Well, it's obviously Shigeru Miyamoto's realisation of conducting an orchestra considering it's a ticket to see Bach...

This is the song in question.

They did but they also own Arkane. The stuff made by their in-house studios is usually solid. It's the third party stuff that's sketchy.

You awake to find you've been sleeping on in a small dirt walled room. You walk outside and see a 6 foot dirt wall and realize you are in a long trench. It's quiet. You can do anything you want in this world. Do you sit in your room? Do you climb over that wall? Do you dig more trenches? You can pick up your gun and helmet if you want. You might even be able to reach level 99 trench digger if you practice with that shovel.

Experience the freedom of trench warfare today!

Who knows, maybe they bought the "Secret Weapons" franchise from Disney

Yes, it's Bethesda Softworks (the publisher), not Bethesda Game Studios (the developer).

God, I already explained it.

Edit: So that doesn't rule out Bethesda Game Studios havnig moved on to Fallout 4 when their main work on Skyrim wrapped; while Bethesda Softworks has something releasing sooner to tease.

Bach, very interesting.

I was expecting yet another post-apocalyptic open world Schubert.

According to Hines it looks like its not Fierrabras Act 4 after all.

Burning sunflowers: https://vine.co/v/bFldAQgTIr6

And maybe Hellboy standing behind them? Color me intrigued. Or red.

I approve this development.

Burning sunflowers?

Touhou Project? Doubt it but would be funny.

Great, now if it's not revealed as "Hellboy: Arkham Hell," I'm going to be pissed.

That's the problem with these preview teases. We speculate and come up with awesome ideas that are difficult or impossible to make and then it turns out the game they were actually trying to announce was "Secret of the Magic Crystals 2".

Husbandry. Husbandry never changes.
