Fitocracy Catch-All

Just started with the April spark challenge, we'll see how it goes.

My first thought is that it could benefit sooo much from animations of the exercises. I'm not a native English user, and I don't know many of the exercise names. I need to read the descriptions and imagine, if this is indeed what I am doing.

A simple animated GIF would be so helpful...

This site is horrible to navigate, but there are some good animated gif images to show the lifts.

Edit: I just found a search feature on that site that makes looking up exercises much, much easier.

That's the great thing about my art--it can be interpreted any way you choose

(top circle, in case you were serious)

Not sure how I missed this, yeah I was joking. The idea of having your head between your knees and lifting a barbell overhead made me giggle.

I'm going to max my bench two weekends from now. Then I'm going to stop this silly and excessive amount of benching and get back to doing sane people exercises.

You may want to warn the bench.

Wow, welcome to Web 1.0 of the 90's Ugly but helpful, thanks! (EDIT: I meant the site)

I somehow doubt that.

And off we go. 315 or bust.

I had to drop most my lifts down 20% due to a 3 week absence (tweeked back, sick a week then a week vacation). Feels good to get back to it this week!

Beat it by 5. PR is now 320 lbs. That's been a goal of mine for a couple years now, so it feels great to check it off the box.

Not going to keep pushing. I'm going to back off and start focusing on a more holistic approach to fitness. By which I mean endurance and cardio, not crystals and my chi.

I'm very disappointed I had to stop BJJ, but there's no way I can do that while I'm taking my final classes. Hopefully I'll be done by December, and then I'll start it back up.

Congratulations, Miashara. It's great that you hit your goal.

Nicely done Miashara - them's some mighty big numbers.

Moving on, why choose between the hippy holistic and the proper endurance work?

I play Street Fighter and watch Ranma 1/2. If my chi doesn't help me throw fireballs or fly, I'm calling shenanigans.

Chi / Midichlorians, Potato / Potahtoe.

Heads up Goodjer Fitocrats - I'll be starting a new challenge soon. Get your votes in on what form you want that to take...

And....we're up!

The Gun Show

Challenge starts in 2 weeks, and runs for two weeks.

Throw another plate on, bro, and gimme a spot! It's time for you meatheads to shine. Rack your iron, get your bestest most strongest grunts prepped, and oil up your guns. It's lifting time! No points for reps here, just for your biggest lifts. Add up the weights for your highest bench press, squat and deadlift (including sumo if that's how you roll). That's your score for this challenge! This'll be a relatively short - you'll have 2 weeks to hit your biggest numbers. And remember kids, lift safe - don't hurt yourself going too big.

Saw the lights were on, but nobody seems to be here....

We don't check in often, Sparhawk. There is more action in the Fitness Catch All thread.

Anyone know who originally created the GWJ group?
