Copy and Paste

Or, go to this link and scroll to the bottom, all 122 available, oh and copy and paste works wonders, just make sure to delete the extra space at the end.

I already typed in all my arkfall codes, I found a really good site that has them all listed for you guys if you don't have them already.

Yah, see my link, its the exact same link....

So what's the verdict on this? I played in the last beta weekend. It felt like a mix of Firefall and Rift.

I also felt myself being less and less interested by the 2nd day. Just go here, shoot these bugs. Drive here, shoot these mutants. Oh god! a big grenade guy jumps out...kill that, repeat.

Am I missing something else? I want another Tabula Rasa...is this it?

My verdict is that I found it to be a ton of fun and went all-in and pre-ordered.

I'm not sure what you're looking for in particular, because "go there and shoot that" is what we generally refer to as a "shooter" and that's exactly what Defiance is, a massively multiplayer shooter. If you're wanting to see crafting or deep RPG level story then I imagine you're better off looking elsewhere. They seem to be keeping Defiance intentionally simple and accessible, after all they're hoping to draw people in off the TV tie-in.

That said, what's available in Beta isn't the whole game by any means. The story missions that tie into the TV series are definitely more interesting and it was a real treat after watching the first 15 minutes of the show to see how what you did tied into the show's storyline. I think that kind of thing has a lot of potential and will work to deepen the immersion in the game if it continues to be done right.

I sincerely hope it's not another Tabula Rasa. I actually want to be able to play this game in six months!

I was having some good times in the pvp too

Holy Crap, someone else who actually liked Tabula Rasa??

I thought I was the only one.

Yea the different styles keep it fresh. What you dont see from the beta weekends though is that there's no level restrictions on the shadow war pvp. So you could end up fighting people with higher skill levels that make it harder to take them out.

I don't even know what a shadow war is =( I was just playing the capture the nodes. The one thing I found odd was my sniper rifle did more damage to the vehicles than my missles.

Thats the shadow war but they also have battleground scenarios.

Did you guys go PC or Console mainly? After beta it looks like it'll be a fun game if you have a group/guild to do some of things with at times. But even solo it was still fun doing the ark fall events.

I picked it up on Steam tonight. Guess I need to start entering some codes now...

Yeah. I thought I would check it out for an hour or two on the pc. That turned into a powergaming session that lasted till the wee hours of the morning. I had a little trouble with the UI and movement of the game till started using the xbox controler. I felt a little cheap until I took first in a few pvp and Arkfalls. Guess its all in how you want to play.

No worries

More difficult, true, but far from impossible. The game has been balanced in such a way that someone who is really good at shooters can run a character straight out of the tutorial and smack down a lesser skilled player that has max EGO and weapon skills.

This is a mixed blessing to me seeing that I will forever be that lesser skilled player.

Oh i made a point to not say impossible. I really enjoy that about the game.

Looks like the EGO code redemption is broken. I'm at 120/120 redeemed and it only has 3 things unlocked on the page (the top row of items up to Bonus Ark Salvage). The rest all still say "Redeem X codes to unlock."

The My EGO page has broken more times than I can count in the last few months. It'll eventually sort itself out and you'll have proper credit.

Seems like there is always a delay with it, btw I guess there is actually like 150 codes. I have not decided if I will enter more, not sure if there is a reason for it.

There's no benefit from entering more than 120. They put out extra codes so that people could miss some and still qualify for the top tier.

Ok preordered and all the codes submitted. STEAM doesnt have it available for download - any reason to download direct from Trion or just wait until the 2nd?

I might go to Gamestop at midnight to pick up my preorder, haven't decided yet.

Places here don't open at midnight which is fine by me. No way in hell I'd pick up a game at midnight, probably not have it installed and patched till 1AM, then still play.

I figure I'll likely hit the servers around Noon on my time, plenty of time for the first rush to clear out a bit. Fortunately Defiance is set up where having an avalanche of people trying to do the same quests just makes them easier. More traditional MMOs that depend on tagging to complete "Kill 37 rats" are so frustrating at launch.

Hmm, I entered 100 Arkfall codes and then got an error message. I hit refresh and now I'm at 0/120. I hope that doesn't mean I have to enter all those codes again...

I entered 100 codes. I'm not proud of it.

It looks like they finally registered.

I started, but real work got in the way.

C'mon. One of you geeks hasn't scripted this yet?

Is there a server we should be coordinating on tomorrow? Will there be a GWJ guild or clan? Admittedly, I haven't been following this game very closely, but I'm definitely intrigued. Intrigued enough to pre-order.
