Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

I just finished up a pretty good date. I forgot what that feels like.

Pretty good, or pretty goodest?

I know I've said this before but maybe not in this thread, but the Nitronic Rush soundtrack = So. Damn. Good.

This fine buzz I have from a few cocktails only makes the music that much better.

PXabstraction the generous soul he is hooked me up with Bioshock Infinite. I am most excited because beforehand I was going to be waiting for a 360 rental copy. What a guy!

It looks like our vacation spot for next year has been chosen...

Nice. That looks a lot like the houses we stay at when we go down there. Have fun!

Word of warning: he's an angry drunk.

mud, best wishes to be one of the rare fathers smiling at Disney. I might suggest one or two days where you send the kids off on paid baby-sat tours while you and your missus head off on your own-I suggest Epcot, and get a yard of beer.

My daughters will be 6 and 9. I hope that we don't end up dragging the lesser-known dwarves, Female Doggoey and Whiney, around at the end of the day.

Who said you couldn't find happy adults in Disneyworld?! Definitely not I! Have fun, I'm kinda jealous right now.

VLC Streamer for iPhone & iPad. (Free) (Paid)

I used to watch movies in bed by swivelling my monitor and awkwardly positioning my head to watch the screen.

No more.

Sure my iPhone's screen isn't as big as my monitor, but I can stream movies from my PC anywhere in the house as long as my Wifi signal is solid.

PAX East was so amazing.

Not adults, parents. Like a 3 humped camel, the happy parent at a theme park is a rare and treasured creature.

You probably will have to deal with those two, at least a bit. But it's totally worth it.

They'll get a bit tired, and they may even get a bit grouchy, but there's nothing quite as wonderful as that look of happy/exhausted/contentment they get. This is my younger one on our second trip, she'd have been six at the time.

My wife's parents.

Last week was pretty lousy and stressful for her thanks to some lame personnel issues at work. We woke up Friday morning to a cryptic text message from them about taking us out to breakfast, which was odd because they're currently 1,000 miles away. Turns out they called our favorite local breakfast spot and prepaid for a meal for us. It was a super nice surprise and started the weekend off in a much lighter mood.

That's rad.

Four more days of work in this god forsaken apocalyptic hellhole of a city

A silent ringtone. Still think it is BS that I can't block calls from certain numbers on my phone (without jailbreaking or paying an extra monthly fee) but now when I see that I have missed calls from "zSpam" I giggle a little bit.

Expensed sushi is best sushi.

Knocking on wood!

I think he's probably qualified to do more than that. ;)

Squueee! Just got the call for the in person interview on Monday. :)

The interview and skills test seemed to go well. Now for the long, up to a week long wait to hear if I got the job.

Wow, that thread was, uh... something else!

Oh haha, you should probably read the other one too.

A bit late, but I just want to say that reading the first thread, then the second thread a few days later... just awesome. I must've missed that second thread, I think I've been around since then.

Edit: As an aside, I love that I've been registered on GWJ for coming up on 5 years. I still feel like the awkward new guy most the time, but there are more users registered after me than before at this point, which is nice.

Another edit: Most of those are probably spammers though.

Very excited that my wife is featured in a nice article in the New York Times.

Please tell me it was your bowl that sold for $2.2mil.

I would love to tell you that. Sadly, so very sadly, I can't.

Wow. Major kudos to your wife, Rahmen!!!!

Thanks. As you might expect, she's over the moon right now.
