Damn. Where is the Like button? I can't find it.

PSA: Sierra alum (and SpaceVenture composer) Ken Allen is doing a Kickstarter to produce a CD of new works based on some of his favorite themes he made while working for Sierra. The project is already funded so it's basically a pre-order at this point.

Over the past year, Shoji Meguro and Atsushi Kitajoh have become two of my favorite composers. The work they do for the Persona games is top notch, always catchy and easy to listen to, and perfectly fitting the games. Some of my absolute favorites are:

Like A Dream Come True (P4)

The Battle for Everyone's Souls (P3)

Shadow World (P4G)

Like A Dragon: Girl Pop Mix (P4 Arena pre-order bonus CD)

The Top Score interview with the composer of The Unfinished Swan was very fun. The score is sort of a baroque/electronic mashup. I still need to finish that game. I only got a couple hours into it.

Then you're at least 3/4 of the way through. The whole game is only 2-3 hours.

Finished! That was a good game. The credits were done brilliantly, and I liked how the ending makes you ponder a bit. I do think that the soundtrack is the best part of the whole thing. I was surprised to find that it was Terry Gilliam who voiced The King.

Nobody expects, etc..

The people behind King of Dragon Pass shared the game's soundtrack this weekend.

Dishonored's Soundtrack is now available through iTunes.

I forgot to give that a smiley face. Also, the Top Score with Daniel Licht regarding the Dishonored soundtrack is really interesting, Kurrelgyre.

Wanted to come here and tell everyone to have a listen to the Forza 3 soundtrack. I never played the game but someone in this thread turned me on to one track called X Track" a couple of months ago.

For some reason, I havent listened to the entire soundtrack until today. it's pretty amazing especially if you are into electronic/chill music.

What a neat idea... I will actually sit and watch this when I'm not lying in bed with a cold.

11 days with no new music? Shame on us all!

Last week I discovered the Persona 4 Reincarnation soundtrack, which is a bunch of remixes of the best P4 themes. How about an upbeat Saxophone/Piano jazz rendition of Specialist (classroom music)? If not, maybe a lounge jazz version of Like A Dream Come True is more to your taste. Or for those of you who have finished Persona 4 Golden and done the optional dungeons, you might recognize this version of I'll Face Myself, a unique mix with rock guitar, acoustic piano, and violin.

Did Garry Schyman do the soundtrack to BI?

Lance is actually a GWJer, although he's only posted a few times. He contributed a bunch of tracks to GWJ Radio way back in the day.

In the wake of SimCity's return, I've been listening to the soundtracks from a bunch of past Maxis games at work since they're not terribly intrusive and are just really good background music.

Here's one of my favorites from today:

From the note on Jerry Martin's website:

"Patternistic Minimalism" which is used to enhance the "tinkering" nature of building a city. Builds in intensity to end.

Several tracks in these games remind me a lot of Music for 18 Musicians by Steve Reich, which is in the same minimalistic style.

OCRemix launched their Deus Ex remix project this week. 8 remixes of iconic DX themes with a couple tracks featuring Human Revolution and Invisible War as well. Very good stuff there.

I've really been digging the Strike Suit Zero soundtrack of late, composed by the same dude who did Homeworld, Paul Ruskay I believe.

I will listen to anything and everything by Michael McCann. That guy is amazing, I've listened to the Deus Ex:HR and XCOM:EU soundtracks repeatedly.

Oh ho! Paul Ruskay's Homeworld Sountrack is one of my favorites (though my favorite track on there is admittedly the one he didn't compose: the wonderful performance of Agnus Dei/Adagio for Strings); I'll definitely have to check this out! (and the game potentially, too; the screenshots remind me considerably of Omega Boost, which was frenetic and fun)

Hah, I'd never heard of Omega Boost until talking about it with my co-host on our podcast last night. Now I totally wanna play it, like, badly.

Since Tropico and KOTOR have already been mentioned, I'll just bring up Ocarina of Time, and ZREO.

And I have to say, I'm impressed at how well KOTOR's soundtrack fits with the rest of Star Wars. I mean, it's really well integrated.

Hey doods! Like Fez? Two remix albums of Fez's soundtrack! My buddy contributed to the second one.

FZ: Side F

FZ: Side Z

I have to say that the soundtrack to far cry 3 blood dragon has really hit all those right 80's notes that just makes it a pure pleasure to listen to.

If you get a chance, do it.
