Hi there. You still have these and in the mood to sell only one?

I do indeed, and selling just one might even be better. I think I might use the other to SLI my kids' machine, after getting a better PSU anyway. I'm thinking $95, shipped USPS Priority. I also have a GTX 460 with 768 MB RAM that I'd do for $85 shipped.

I don't know the market, but that sounds fair after a little digging around. I'll be interested in the 1GB but won't PM just yet. Gotta get everything in order.

Thank ye!

I'm looking for a laptop that can run Minecraft decently, my i3 ultrabook doesn't fare so well. Looking to trade coffee and/or sf books, with a bit of cash thrown in as needed.

I think you're going to be looking at a lot of coffee. Have you tried decreasing the rendering distance? That setting has big payoff. Minecraft isn't efficient though (JAVA!) and is much more demanding than it's homely appearance would suggest.

Hey, y'all,

As I "hinted" in the Help Me Build My PC thread, I'm in the market for cared-for older computer equipment, with the goal to build a circa 2009 nice machine for moderate gaming. I'm looking at to pick up an LGA 775 + E8400 system at a minimum, but if I can stick inside my budget I'd step up to LGA 1156 stuff if it's "lying around". I'm hoping for a board, a CPU, and compatible RAM as a "legacy bare-bones" kit. If you're feeling like you want to get a new case, too, I might consider. Certainly is simpler for me. I know this is rebuild season for many folks, so maybe we can help each other.

Also, and maybe this fits better in the other thread, if you have recommendations for 775/1156 boards to seek or stay away from, that would be handy. I'm still learning proto-modern generations of the architectures. I'm probably sticking to Intel to keep it simple.

I don't have a big preference on the form factor. I'll basically be putting in one or two drives, a decent GPU, and an optical drive to install with.

I know this is vague, but maybe you've got a machine your family's using that is good enough but you'd like a reason to upgrade. This might be that reason. Also, buying window is probably in the next month or two, so it's not a rush but I hope not to keep either of us dangling too long, either.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah, I've tried just about everything and this i3 just can't hack it.

OptiFine? Use MagicLauncher with it. It's a breeze.

Java, in and of itself, doesn't necessarily mean demanding and inefficient.

This.
I haven't gotten Forge to work with 1.5 with MagicLauncher yet, but Optifine is working great, so I can deal with not having a minimap for now.

If I had to pick one single mod to have, it would be Optifine. Performance gains for me were very, very noticeable.

Yeah, I was baiting for that response. However it doesn't have that stigma without cause.

I disagree!

Check, and mate

It's true, there was a cause...ten years ago.

Selling Heavy Rain Director's Cut for PS3 like new condition. $12.00 shipped.

Sold.

muraii- I just yanked my old e6750, ip35e mobo (socket 775) and 4x1gb ddr2-800 in favor of something newer. It's a bit below what you're looking for but I'd be willing to send it off for the cost of shipping. The e6750 has been running rock solid for about 2 years at 3.2ghz on stock cooling if it helps (but refuses to budge even a tad higher even with an aftermarket cooler). The CPU bottlenecks some modern games (Far Cry 3 being the only one I couldn't ameliorate with detail changes) but most things still chug happily. Let me know if you're interested.

stupidhaiku and muraii, if muraii isn't interested, I definitely would be. I'm thinking of putting together a desktop to work on. Don't need anything ridiculously fast. Was thinking of putting together a $200-300 desktop, but some help from a goodjer would go a real long way.

No worries if you want it though muraii, you asked first

Yeah it's a sweet deal. Appreciate it, stupidhaiku. Just read a couple Newegg reviews about the e6750 including one entitled "Why won't you die?!!!" Citizen86, I think I'ma grab this one.

stupidhaiku, I'll send a PM!

I have a 160 gb PS3 slim with a controller if anyone's interested. I got it a few months ago, played it a few weeks, but haven't been playing it anymore.

So I figure I'll sell it to finance a new video card.

I'm not sure what's fair for these things... So make me an offer!

Edit: SOLD!

@Citizen86: I can hook you up with an Athlon 64 X2 motherboard/cpu/ram package. Hell, I can even throw in some sort of older video card too.

Thanks for the offer! PM me with what you have in mind

I'll do it straight up, $10 for $10. I'm about to buy a couple of chess apps for my 'pad. I'll PM you.

I have a $10 iTunes gift card that I'd love to trade it for an Amazon gift card. Say, $7.50? You email me the Amazon card, and I'll PM you the code from the iTunes card.

LiquidMantis is awesome. Thanks!

Sold.

Ok, so I have this PS3 60GB that I just really don't want anymore. It has been opened and the thermal paste replaced. It works fine and is not fully updated (Sigh, no linux possibility sadly). So here's the deal I want to make. Prices negotiable.

PS2 Games: 12.00$/ea
Prince of Persia Warrior Within
Shadow of the Colossus
Galerians:Ash
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XII

Socom US Navy Seals (8.00 b/c it has a different case than original)

Ps3 Games: 15.00
Borderlands
Assassin's Creed
Grand Theft Auto IV
Fallout New Vegas (9.00 b/c it has a different case than original)
Call of Duty Black Ops (9.00 b/c it has a different case than original)

Not looking for anything in return, although if someone has one of those extra Civ 5 keys floating around I wouldn't turn it down. No coffee grinders please, although I'll make an exception to that if you have a donator icon.

That looks rather cool. Is it any good? I don't have much on steam to trade besides binding of Isaac and sparkle ponies if you want those.

Check out the extensive thread here. it's got a rather steep learning curve, but once you get the general feel of things, it's one of those game you can start playing then check the clock and it's 3 AM in the morning and you wonder where the time's flown.

So, I made a big goof forgetting to cancel my Bioshock: Infinite Amazon pre-order before getting my code from AMD as part of my buying a new 7950. So, I have an extra Bioshock: Infinite Steam code now due to my failure to cancel my pre-order before my card was charged. I'm open to offers, Steam Wallet or Paypal, know pre-order deals are still very lucrative, so make me an offer and we can discuss. My goof could be your gain!

I also have an extra code for XCOM: Enemy Unknown through the same Amazon pre-order, also taking offers on that code as well.

Would love to trade with Goodjers versus someone random on eBay. Let me know if you're interested!

Looks rather cool is enough! PMing you the key. If it turns out you like it, awesome. If not, this was a cheap way to find out!

Like I said, no need for a trade.

Definitely interested in XCOM, but don't have anything to trade at the moment. Should've preordered BI, but won't have time to play it until it goes on sale anyway.
