tl;dr: I miss Kinder Eggs

Ftfy - just because America has ridiculous lawsuits doesn't mean the majority of American kids are dumb.

Actually the problem isn't that stores won't carry them, it's that the FDA made them illegal. Because they are afraid kids will not realize there's something inside and eat the whole thing, toy and all.

Policy makers trying to parent again? What's next, all meat has to be de-boned before consumption? All foods must be unwrapped at the point of purchase incase people don't realise that you can't eat the food with the wrapper on... Whatever happened to personal responsibility and accountability?

I say let the dumb f*cks eat it, it would just be Darwinism in effect if they're too stupid to realise you don't eat the giant, bright yellow, hard plastic container inside. /rant

It's the mentality that "If something bad has happened to you, someone, somewhere owes you money." To the point where people no longer see things as 'I did something stupid", they see it as "Woohoo! I hit the jackpot!"

It was always upsetting when you got one of those one piece toys with no assembly required. It was lame, I want to put stuff together, dammit!

I beg to differ! Some runs contained collectible figures sets!

When I lived in Moscow, there was this kiosk on my way to work, where one of the salespeople displayed a shelf in the window that held his collection of Kinder Surprise hippos and crocodile figures for sale or exchange. I made countless purchases there to complete my own modest collection and to trade with her.

Which makes me wonder what happened to that collection...

Did you eat it? You probably ate it.

That would make it a Hipoo collection... Now that's a surprise collectible.

Spoiler:

Also found in a brown egg.

Nobody buys them for the chocolate. You're not buying a toy either. You're buying an experience.

If I want chocolate, I'll buy chocolate. Probably Cadbury's.
My toys these days don't package well inside of food.

Well there is that one that looks like a rocket pop.

In honour of this thread I bought a Kinder Egg at the grocery store today. It had a cheesy little fox figure inside.
