Board Game Night at Atomic Empire - Durham, NC

For those living in the Triangle, Atomic Empire (previously Sci Fi Genre) has board game night on Mondays from 6pm - 11pm. I live on the other side of Raleigh so it's not something I can attend regularly. However, if we were maybe to agree on a particular upcoming Monday, I could arrange to make the trek. The place is huge and they have local craft beer on tap. Anyone up for a mini S&T to play a board game?

Location:
Atomic Empire
3400 Westgate Dr Suite 14B.
Durham, NC 27707

Date:
Monday, March 25 and Monday, April 15

Time:
6pm - 11pm

I could do April 15th. I have a conflict on March 25th, but I'm not sure if I want to read the prerequisite book between now & then.

I'm interested, but I'm available the opposite days as RedJen.

Don't give up hope. If we have enough interest, maybe we can do both.

Possibly!

ISn't international board game day coming up?

If anything gets scheduled after April i'd be a solid maybe. That's nearly spitting distance from my house, but i'm tied up on Mondays until May, unfortunately.

#TableTopDay is scheduled for March 30th. I'm committed to attending at Gamer's Armory in Cary.

I love the fact that you're committed for TTD, Jen. I want to be committed for TTD, too.

Me too.

I went ahead and updated the Original Post to set Monday March 25 as an official date. I intend to go. I'll try and get there by 6:30. I'll bring a stack of games for various player counts. If anyone can show up, great. If not, I'll also bring a deck of cards for solitaire.

I'll also try and keep April 15 open.

All systems are still go for me. I hope to see some of you at Atomic Empire tonight. We'll be done in plenty of time for you to make your Bioshock Infinite midnight launch party.

I should be there, too. As a warning, I'm a board game novice; if I slow things down too much, just throw throw something at me, I'll understand.

Won't be down that way until April 2, but will try to make it to the second one if work does not intrude.

No worries at all. I'm bringing a bunch of games that are all novice-friendly and that will hopefully serve as gateway games to hook you good and proper.

Understood. Hope you can make it.

I'm bringing these games so we've got options for a variety of player counts:
Android: Netrunner LCG
The Great Heartland Hauling Company
Carnival
Lords of Waterdeep
Ticket to Ride Europe
Tammany Hall

I'll be there tonight. I tossed two boxes in the car this morning.

Dixit, Dixit 2, Dixit Odessey & Dixit Journey
Pandemic

Sorry, I won't be there tonight.

So many ways to lose Pandemic. Only one way to win. It's such a fun game, even though it's so punishing. Thanks for bringing it.

I had a good time; we'll have to tackle Pandemic again soon.

I'm not sure we tackled it yet, but I'm game to give it another go.

I'm still planning to show up at Atomic Empire next Monday (4/15) for some more board games. All are welcome!

I'll be on vacation, but my wife is packing board games for us, so I'll think about you all in Key West. :p

I'm still planning on going. Bringing a local friend and GWJ lurker. I'm also bringing Race to Adventure since I just got it from a Kickstarter. It's the board game version of Spirit of the Century by Evil Hat.

We may be able to go; it's a work day and a pretty long drive, but still interested in getting together. Are you trying to meet right at 6?

I probably won't get there until 6:30, and we'll wait a bit longer to see if anyone else shows up before we start any major game.

I should be there.

Think we're going to have to bow out tonight. The pollen is exploding my head, and we've gotta prep for our house walkthrough tomorrow.

My buddy had to bail due to work. And with the news unfolding in Boston, I've sort of lost my appetite for board games tonight. Not sure my head would be in the game.

I think Jen might have been the only other one who was still confirmed as of this morning. Jen, would you mind if I took a raincheck on the evening?

I'll raincheck with the rest of you.
