RIP Bonnie Franklin

This is probably dating myself, but One Day at a Time was one of my first favorite shows. I was seven when it began and 16 when it ended. When I heard Bonnie Franklin passed away, it affected me much more than I would have thought. What a great mom she played.

Bonnie Franklin, Steadfast Mom on ‘One Day at a Time,’ Dies at 69

Bonnie Franklin, whose portrayal of a pert but determined Ann Romano on the television show “One Day at a Time” in the 1970s and ’80s spun laughter out of the tribulations of a divorced woman juggling parenting, career, love life and feminist convictions, died on Friday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 69.

The cause was complications of pancreatic cancer, family members said. They had announced the diagnosis in September.

I've read her obit on several sites and without fail they all describe her as 'pert'. Just an observation.

I am not really familiar with her, but still, it is sad news.

I googled her name and pert, and saw all th big hitter news sites using the same adjetive. It was a good description of her, though.
