Yeah, I basically bought myself a fashion disaster. I like the insulated compression tights I got for Christmas, so this is a different model and non-insulated of the same brand, for warmer weather. The Fivefingers are for messing around with. Found a clearance sale, so $100 for both, when they normally go for $100 each. Woot!

Woot! I know nothing about compression tights, but I loved my toe sneakers! I got them for $20, and once I got used to putting them on, I was hooked. (Then I got pregnant, and my feet got too big )

I'm still getting used to them. They fit really snug on the left big toe. I was thinking about trying to exchange them for a bigger size, but I think they're okay with a combination of letting them stretch and getting used to how they feel. I'll be interested to see how they feel on a run when the weather warms up. Snow between your toes is not so good.

I think those are my pair (Treks, maybe?) and I do love them, despite the fashion disaster element.
They're my default running/gym shoe; be gentle with your early runs as you need to get used to the changes to your stride, however.

They're Bikilas. I'll be careful, but I don't think my stride will be changing much. Knee pain over a year ago made me switch to running on the balls of my feet, and my trail shoes are minimals already, though not quite this minimal. Hopefully I'll be good, and I definitely like them in the gym. We train barefoot, and the new location has field turf instead of pads. These give me traction while keeping the barefoot feel.

Access denied! I'd like to see the pics!

The pictures were there earlier for me. Looks rad.

Ooh, very nice. I see them now!

I *may* have a problem.

What's this X-Wing game and how much do I have to spend to start playing?

So you know all of your money?

Yeah, that.

This is the Amazon pic, but it was silly of me to purchase a paddle for work breaks either way.

These look very large compared to the online pics of the xwing game I'm finding.
Are there multiple scales?

...and now you'll be buying lego.

Nuh-uh. How else are you going to truly crush your competition?

Don't forget to name your paddle. They work better that way. (I miss my Eugenia.... *sniff*)

It's only silly because you didn't go with a Butterfly racket. It's a little less silly that you didn't go for a penhold racket. Why'd you go with DHS though? I've never heard of that brand.

EDIT: I would have also been more comfortable seeing a JOOLA racket, if only because they have fun names.

Pssh. Pen hold's cray-cray. I went with the DHS L602 because it was in my price range and the rubbers were both well rated and reviewed. One side is Skyline 2 and the other is Hurricane 3, so I can change out play-style a bit when necessary. I also like the weight, as it's a little heavier than most-- I can better gauge my power when I can feel some counter-weight.

The Slave 1 and Millenium Falcon are large the Millenium is bigger then my fist. I believe that Lego set is ~$400 if I remember correctly. That may get me in trouble with the Mrs.

But, but, the scale is good.

But, but, the space battle scene from every star wars xwing game...

To be fair, a combination of store credit and a discount for writing a review for the game store's website let me walk out for twenty bucks.

I love that game. The Kickstarter for the expansion is supposed to start today.

But can you imagine shoving several tables together in the great hall and having 2 star destroyers go toe to toe?

Oh man... I don't have the main game, but I may have to get the Slave I and Millennium Falcon models to put on my desk at work

Can't go too wrong with recreating the trench run

If you want to display I'd highly recommend the much nicer base and rod from CorSec.

The quality of the miniatures is impressive.

[Edit] What the hell did I do to make this a split post? Multitasking fail.

The Corellean Corvette is also about scale.
