Hidden Gems of Netflix's Watch Instantly

You are in for a treat, Hobbes. In season 2, Jen stops being so loud and annoying.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

IT crowd is the best. One of the two tv shows I've watched more than once. The other being arrested development. Not a bad episode and Moss is just brilliant.

Indeed, such a freaking good show. I've gone through it all twice at least, and now I want to again. The cast is just perfect, but I just looooove Moss so damned much.

Ah! Well, prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame, set at gas mark "egg on your face"! I sort of forget what I was talking about.

Squee!

"Faaatheeer!"

Oh Matt Berry, what a magnificent son of a Female Doggo.

Not an Netflix gem, because it doesn't exist yet, but I've heard/read that they are going to be making a movie of The IT Crowd - not sure if it is going to be direct to video, television only, or actually in theatres.

Hey! Keep the Supernatural love outta here!!!

Whuuuuuut? I hope this isn't in place of more seasons, but I'll be happy with more Roy, Moss and Jen regardless.

Don't make me show you my tattoo, then hit you with it. Bastard.

I watched Raising Arizona. Man, I just do not understand the appeal of Cohen Brothers comedies. They all seem to boil down to clueless people being loud. A friend of mine used to describe watching anime as people randomly screaming through an incomprehensible storyline that's supposed to be funny but isn't—that's how I felt watching Raising Arizona and every other one of their comedies that I've seen.

No Country For Old Men, though, is a gem.

Barton Fink may be more to your taste. It's my favorite of theirs.

Raising Arizona is a tough one. Given the way that vein of comedy went, it just feels like a Wes Anderson joint. Let's be quirky and weird, for the sake of being quirky and weird.

I think their best Comedy is the Big Lebowski.

I think they work best when working light hearted elements into their dramas-No Country for Old and True Grit have great comedic moments, without it seeming like ham fisted slapstick added in.

I like the Coens mostly because they tend to make movies untainted by focus groups and studio heads. My respect for all the the f*cks they do not give is immense.

Can any Coen brothers fans sell me on The Hudsucker Proxy? I tried to watch it 4-5 years ago and lost interest pretty quickly.

Half-way through a portly gentleman runs toward a window, and bounces off like a dog at a storm door.

If you like more witty comedy, then try Intolerable Cruelty. Same antics, but with intelligent and educated people.

The banter in that is much better too.

Yoooouuuuuuu fascinate me.

Yeah, Intolerable Cruelty is underrated. Very funny.

I watched Safety Not Guaranteed last night. It was mostly charming, but ended somewhat unsatisfactorily with little-to-no closure for any of the characters.

Spoiler:

We didn't really get to see the aftereffects of the Indian guy getting laid, nor really see how the older reporter followed through on his coming-to-Jesus moment about the chick he slept with. Let alone the implications of the main characters disappearing at the end.

I just watched Safety Not Guaranteed as well, and feel like adding any of that would have been dumb and redundant. It's a great little film.

Quick! Post another Supernatural animated gif, and then it'll look like a Tumblr page.

How far did you get and what didn't you like about it? If you didn't get very far and just got bored because it starts kind of slow, I would suggest giving it another chance. If your issue was with the characters and Jennifer Jason Leigh's stupid accent, than you can probably give it a pass. It's actually one of my favorites of their movies but I can totally understand why people don't like it.

FTFY. You really need a wall of animated gifs of the same character for that Tumblr look and feel.

NO WAIT, THIS ALREADY EXISTS.

I feel about Lebowski the way some feel of Raising Arizona. True Grit was disappointing in the too-crisp dialogue. Loved No Country like a boss.

Watched The Raven tonight. John Cusack is so dreamy. Not bad, if a bit predictable.

It's the only movie in which you can stand Nicolas Cage?
