Borderlands 2 Catch-All

I sent you both invites.

Happy Loverpalooza! -- don't miss the special celebratory SHiFT codes below!

For years, Moxxi has delighted and excited Pandora's denizens with her theatrical style, pithy innuendos, and a seemingly endless supply of exes. But when it comes time to give out anniversary gifts and every single day marks a possible anniversary with someone, what's a poor girl to do?

Simple -- the Loverpalooza! Today, everyone gets to be one of Miss Moxxi's honorary exes. And Moxxi treats her exes well (apart from the ones she kills, of course) -- on Loverpalooza Day, she bestows eligible Pandoran men and women with free stuff!

To receive your gifts from Miss Moxxi, enter the SHiFT codes below into Borderlands 2:

PC / Mac Loverpalooza SHiFT Code: W3KJ3-69JR5-9CXT3-JTJJT-WSCK5
Xbox 360 Loverpalooza SHiFT Code: W3W3B-BHX9K-3TSTX-WXJ3J-XCHKH
PlayStation 3 Loverpalooza SHiFT Code: WJCJJ-HCBFB-CCKC3-H3CJT-6FBHW

This year's offerings include special celebratory skins -- "Real Men Wear Pink" for Axton, "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" for Zer0, "Pretty and Pink" for Maya, "Pink Eyes" for Salvador, "Gumming the Works" for Gaige -- that will be available in the Quick Change character customization station, along with a special version of Moxxi's Critical Heart Breaker shotgun that will be the same level as (and appear in the backpack of) the first character you load after redeeming the code.

These codes will be active through February 17, 2013 -- be sure to use them before them!

Thank goodness we don't have to punch in 5 codes for all the skins.

Anyone down for taking down a raid boss on 360 sometime this weekend?

So I haven't done any tests but I have a feeling that the special moxxi shotgun has a hidden property to it. I think it changes the gender of your voice. I applied the code and fired up my siren. I equipped the shotgun but had the sound low. I fell off a cliff and landed with a hard grunt. Except it was a man grunt. I kept playing for a few minutes and it really struck me that no that wasn't a fluke, my voice is male. (axton's I believe)

Has anyone else experienced this or is it a bug?

The shotgun is pretty awesome btw.

Sure you aren't wearing Jack's face?

I could be up for that, hit me up.

I haven't defeated jack yet with Maya. So I would assume that is a drop from killing Jack no?

edit: oh wait, I am at the part in the main plot line with Maya where I just got samples of Jack's voice. Doh!

I actually went off and did other stuff during this part with Maya. Got annoying fast and got me back on the main quest-line much faster than I might have returned on my own.

I thought my game was glitched since there was a two day break or so between getting Jack's voice and playing again.

Only special thing I've noticed is that it fires in the shape of a heart:

That is awesome. I need to redeem that code. Wish I could remote into my Xbox and somehow magically put the Borderlands 2 disc in the drive so I could do it from work.

You know, I took a stab because Maya needed a good weapon upgrade at level 27 so I unlocked it on her. But now it is so good, I wish I had unlocked it on my level 40 mechromancer. (I really have no complaints. My mechromancer has a great shot gun too)

I just need to quit selling my old stuff when I get replacements. My alts have had to fend for themselves. I think my next set of golden keys will go to Maya. Gaige is well covered even at level 40 and she can rely on her decked out death trap in a pinch.

I have restarted to play.

Almost 50 hours played. And the Mechromance is nice. Quite a tad bit over powered. Her DeathTrap is nice, but quite OP.

Wait till you can get the skill from the BFF tree...or maybe you did already...

Explosive Clap: Deathtrap Ability.

Deathtrap causes an explosion in front of him, dealing Explosive Damage to all nearby enemies.

"This clap will trap your soul!...er...explode your body...whatever."

I could not believe the amount of damage that does.

I've now defeated The Warrior, Terramorphous, and Vermivorous 8-). It's time to move onto the DLC.

Spoiler:

[Note: Accomplished without The Bee, nor The Conference Call, or any Legendary Gear so far]

Nice job. I still have yet to get Vermivorous to even spawn to be able to kill him.

Lost right around $1mil to do it, definitely requires 4 people...

Spoiler:

to keep the varkids morphing.

Finally took down Terramorphous last night with a public group. Didn't get any loot worth keeping since the others snagged anything worth having before I had a chance to get to it (I was way across the area from where it died at). Mainly I am happy I now have that achievement and the one for doing all the sidequests. Only have two character specific ones until I have all of the ones from the main game.

Anyone want to play some co-op on PC this weekend? I have a Siren and an assassin at around level 15, and I would be willing to start new characters if anyone wants to start from scratch. But fair warning I work nights, so I wont be up until some time after about 1:00 PM. (Its a little after 11:00 PM as I post.) If anyone wants to play, my steam ID is in my signature so feel free to send me friend invite and we'll see if we can get a game going.

Wow, is Hammerlock DLC supposed to be this hard? I have a level 48 (I think) zerker and there are more than a few level 52 mobs (with skull icon) that I feel like they are 1-shotting me. I was able to beat the first 2 DLC's which were a good and fun challenge, but this is painful.

I could try to level up in the story quest line, but I'm overleveled for where I am (just finished animal preserve) so XP is pretty slow there.

This is kind of odd, I cleared that DLC with my Assassin, short a raid boss or so, and I finished at level 41. The one thing I did find was that I need to use the natural choke points in the terrain to manage the angles against the larger groups.

It's (probably?) the witch doctor dudes. You need to prioritize them or they do a thing that levels up the guys around them.

Chupacabra witch doctors are a nightmare. I end up nuking them from a distance, otherwise they suck me dry much faster than I can damage them.

Burn them, burn them all, and as quickly as possible.

I don't know if anyone has noticed or not, but axton is really cheap. You could just find a place to hide and throw out that turret of his and when it's done cooling down, you just throw it out again. You wouldn't really have to get harmed by enemies.

I just successfully put the 360 code in a couple hours ago so they're still good if you missed out.

So with all the hours put into my level 50 commando, it's my Siren who got The Bee, a level 27 version of it anyway.

I see now why it's the bee's knees, so to speak.
