Guild Wars 2 - Spelunking Club (The Arah Initiative)

Good Cm Path 1 run tonight. So much more fun with GWJers

Path 2 was brutal -- possibly because no one had done it before. There were quite a few group wipes.

I'd like to do some more of the less popular dungeon explores.

ATTENTION!!!

I will be running Arah Path 2 explore tomorrow 2/14 starting around 730-800pm EST. I have experience with paths 1 and 3 but not 2 so if you know the run and want to help please come along

Speaking of Arah, my Guardian is at that point in the story and so I'm looking to do story mode sometime soon. I've got a tentative group possibly this weekend with some players in another guild/server, but if there's interest in a GWJ group doing this run, I'd love to make that happen.

Hi folks -

I have 2 characters - War and Thief both at the Arah story point. I will make an effort to be on tonight to glom onto Cobble's exploration. Tscott, I'd like to also get in on your action, I can probably make any time over the weekend work with a little notice.

FYI they have extremely nerfed Arah Story. It still takes a little while to get through but its not hard at all. Not what it once was anyways.

I'm also at the Arah story for my personal quest line. I would love to be able to get that done some day.

I dont think I am going to make it on tonight after all. Family stuff came up.

Count me in for Arah story if you need another.

That's 4 for Arah story- almost a full party if we can coordinate times. Any time work better than others for anyone? I could make pretty much any time work this weekend.

I'm going to be zombie-shooting in L4D tonight, I think, but the rest of the weekend, just let me know and I'll be there.

I can be available any time this weekend.

Will people be on tonight to Arah? Or perhaps tomorrow afternoon?

tonight - possibly

tomorrow afternoon - almost for certain.

had my hot water heater go out today (at 4am actually) so not feeling real excited about anything right now.

Sunday afternoon. Arah story. Let's make it happen!

Sounds good. Any preferable time?

Not sure of everyone's timezones. How about 3 Eastern/2 Central?

I'll be on most the day hopefully, so if earlier that works for me.

My friend and I aren't quite there yet in the story, but when we are, I'll be back to post for help

I can make 2pm central work on Sunday (today). I will be in-game but may not be on the character that will be going into Arah.

Sounds good.

I'm working right now but I think I'll be done by 2.

Delayed patching (haven't logged in in a little while). Will be on shortly.

Sorry I missed the Arah meetup, real life intervened. If anyone else needs an Arah run to finish story, let me know.

Yeah, I need it as well. Typically only on in the evenings, though.

Thanks for running with our mini guild Saturday Jakeleg. We ended up one-shotting all 3 AC paths in ~2 hours

Path 3 is so much easier than it used to be.

What changed in p3?

I had to google Arah to figure out what mission this was... Gosh, I've got some catching up to do!!!

Range could hit the burrows. We ignored the collectors and all 5 people focused on just killing the burrows. We used to put the ranged on collector defense since they couldn't hit the burrows half the time.

But this time we were able to get through it on the first time without anyone defending the collectors. A stray shot from an archer here and there pulled any aggro off of damaging the units, and the collectors regenerated health at an extreme rate when not being damaged.

Odd... I never noticed issues hitting the burrows at range unless there were intervening gravelings. Then again I did do those paths most often with AoE anyway.

Yarg. Twice I've sat in AC path 3 groups for hours because we had nobody that could hit the burrows. They required a "special angle" even for melee. None of us had problems hitting them Saturday. It has been 2 months since I last ran AC though.
