Guild Wars 2 Guild organization thread.

Oh goodness, I certainly wasn't suggesting giving them the boot!! Just whether or not I should jot down their name as well on the "active member" list. I'll keep that in mind, then.

I didn't think you were, I was saying that I set them to "active member" as opposed to leaving them as "member."

Just wanted to check in to say that I've made my way back to GW2 and am on the NS server and representing. Main is Strya Iceheart, 64 Norn warrior. Game is lots of awesome, glad to be back!

WB! Glad to have you back - more folks for dungeons and zergs!

Welcome back indeed!!!

Belated thank you for the invite! Looking forward to getting to know you all better.

who can I talk to about getting an invite to the guild? my character is named peabods.

or i guess cabdodger.8371 is the number you need

My nephew would like an invite into the guild if that is ok - one of his character names is Defence Grid and his id is Skorched.6834

Some very interesting stuff has been popping up about the guild missions. When we have a more complete picture we'll need to discuss how to manage the guild's influence to research and run these.

Very interesting, indeed... That's the kind of stuff that'll draw me (and others) back in, I'm sure.

You should come back before that. You know... So you can be all ready to hit the ground running when those updates hit.

:Double:

I should... but my goodness, the pile is so deep...

Yes well much like gw2, you can take a break from the pile and go back to it later.

The real problem I have with GW2 right now is that my main's story is stuck in the Orr lands, and I really hate that area. There's nothing enjoyable to see (yes, I realize that's intentionally part of the design), the monsters take a crapload of damage to kill, they respawn far too quickly, and they're spaced too damn close together! Unless things have changed in the few months since I've last logged in...?

That's actually been fixed recently, the Orr mobs are more spread out now.

Oh! Well then I certainly will need to give it another try.

Also... Both grandma and I have at least 1 character whose story is at the early Orr missions if you want company.

I feel your pain. I hated Orr so much I leveled through most of the 70's in dungeons. I am just now going back to finish my story. Orr is alot easier in full exotics :P.

Orr is also alot easier since they tweaked it.

OK! I GET IT! Man, you guys are so persistent! I'm logging in now. Sheesh!

Is anyone out there intrested in WvW'ing as a guild. All my months playing this game, and I have not done this with a guild yet.

I'd be happy to join up

Though I tend to avoid the zerg and focus on roaming and hitting up smaller objectives.

I will be happy to do some WvW once they patch in that stuff like progression and bits to make it a shade less pointless. I think its coming in March? Or May perhaps...... some M month.

I've seen some nights where there was a GWJ group in WvW, but it's a fairly uncommon occurrence at this point.

I've become more interested in WvW to the point where I'm considering trying to find a WvW guild to join so I could be part of an actual organized group when in WvW. (The idea being that I'd spend the majority of my time in GWJ only swapping out when I was actually playing WvW) I'm not sure if a good fit for that plan actually exists though, because the most obvious organized guild (Os) has a one-guild-only policy and an absurd membership tax.

Ya I've kept an eye out for a WvW guild to team up with or join and unfortunately the only ones on NSP with visibility have some... maturity/attitude issues. So I've steered clear.

I'd really like it if we could get a 4-5player group going with vent.. practice our skirmish skills, look for objectives to take or defend on our own.

Btw... Onenof the devs mentioned that in the feb update there would be a change for wvw whereby the orange swords would only show up for groups of 25 or more fighting.

Big bonus for stealth I guess.

Well that's part of it I think. After those changes you could have smallish teams that are big enough to be effective going around and doing things without attracting "the swarm". servers will have to scout.. etc.

Ran around WvW this morning before work using my condition build, which I usually use for pve, and it worked great! I could even one-man supply depots as long as I was not dumb or interrupted, which was fun.
