Just finished the EO IV demo. Such a great way to do a demo. I was legitimately sad when I hit the end of the demo and realized I couldn't play anymore.
On a whim, I got Crashmo over the weekend. It's Pushmo's somewhat more difficult cousin. I'm twenty puzzles in, and I've already found some of the puzzles to be a little mind-bending. It's not as immediately accessible as Pushmo, but it's a great puzzle game in its own right.

Two months ago the Vita was in my bag at all times. With Persona 4 winding down and games like Crashmo and Fire Emblem my 3DS is with me at all times now.
Nintendo's bringing back the pink/white 3DS XL for Valentine's Day. I'm not sure if it'll be another limited run like it was last year, but I wouldn't be surprised.
I have the following "Provisional friends" right now: ahrezmendi, SixteenBlue, DSGamer, Slumber, Blind Evil, Dyni, Casual_gwj. I'd add you too, Ulairi, but I didn't see your friend code around.
In other news, the Etrian Odyssey demo is just astounding. Reminds me of everything that I loved in the first game of the series (before my brother accidentally blew up my save).

Feel free to add me as well. Code is in my sig.

Mine is 4038-7297-2642.
Can we, um, do anything with this stuff?

I have a lot of the same ones you do, with you yourself added. My Friend Code is 2836-0256-2593. Add me, Monster Hunter is coming!

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's online play is Wii U only, good sir. So buy that one! The 3DS version only has local play. Monster Hunter 4 will be the first game portable game in the franchise with official online play.

The 3DS has a pretty solid online setup but not a ton of games make use of them. I really enjoyed a week or so of playing Street Fighter 4 online until I realized I could just do the same on my 360.

The joy of having kids: it's not double-dipping, it is getting a copy for me and one for the kid. So my friend code is useless for MH3... Add me anyway.
Ugh, I never read these threads when my 3DS is around to add you guys.
And I apparently keep forgetting to add my friend code to the mix, so here we go:

Already had you.
I'll try to remember to add a bunch of people when I get home tonight. I really hate the fact that it it doesn't send any kind of notification when you add someone.
Nintendo Direct tomorrow with 3DS games!
I expect a Dragon Quest VII localization announcement with it selling a gabillion copies in Japan. It wouldn't hurt if Clock used his localization mojo too.
Yeah, I'd really like to see DQ7 on the 3DS this year in North America. From what I've been reading, the 3DS version will be more enjoyable than the original PS1 edition (which I actually never finished; got halfway through and ran out of steam).

Just wheel out someone from Square-Enix to announce that and Bravely Default for the West.
Then drop the mic.
Yeah, I'd really like to see DQ7 on the 3DS this year in North America...
DQ7 was the one where you were putting together puzzle pieces or something, right? But the puzzle pieces represented the world you were exploring or something?
...I guess I could just go look it up on wikipedia or something.

That sounds vaguely like Legend of Mana, but if that mechanic was used in another game that's very cool.

Yeah, that's the one. And after a while, remembering where I'd been and where I had yet to go and what puzzle pieces I had and where they might fit and blah bleh blabbity blah I'm tired of this game and going to play something else.
Given that there's not a concurrent Japanese Nintendo Direct, I'd guess that the announcements are mainly to do with localization and release dates. I'd be shocked if they didn't announce Dragon Quest VII for North America. I'd be shocked if they did announce Bravely Default; that's Square-Enix's baby unless Nintendo is for some reason taking over as publisher in North America. I'd bet on a release date for Animal Crossing, a sneak peek at Fire Emblem DLC, and maybe a better look at Luigi's Mansion, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
The only real surprise announcement I could see would be for localization of Fantasy Life, Level 5's new RPG that's selling really well in Japan. It's a bit of a mash-up between Dragon Quest and Animal Crossing, which sounds like just the sort of thing Nintendo would want to release here.

Yeah, I saw a bunch of ads and got a bunch of tags of people who were playing Fantasy Life. Looks hot.

In my case, it was the time required to micromanage my party before the adventuring started. I love a good level grind. The rest was just a little much.
Party management, story, and what-all (hopefully more sailing!) is what I do to take a break from the level grind. (Only played EO3) Probably why I was stuck at my previous position for a while-I also decided to have two of every class so I could see all the skill paths-thank God for the skill that lets characters earn xp if they're back at the tavern.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (M&L RPG) this summer! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My thoughts exactly
A bunch of stuff announced:
- Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (M&L RPG) this summer! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Donkey Kong Returns 3DS (remake of the Wii game) this summer.
- Mario Golf: World Tour this summer.
- Animal Crossing June 9th in NA.
and other stuff I was too lazy to post.
My thoughts exactly :D
I'm assuming it's AlphaDream developing. It better be them. The footage looked so good! I lovedddddd Bowser's Inside Story and being in Luigi's dreams looks like it's going to be equally whacky.
I'd be surprised if it's not AlphaDream but I haven't seen screenshots or footage yet. Nintendo doesn't usually switch up developers unless they have to.
Dtoid has a list of everything that was covered in today's video
- Donkey Kong Returns 3DS (remake of the Wii game) this summer.
In my post play survey of Donkey Kong Country Returns on Club Nintendo, I specifically mentioned that I'd love to play a 3DS port of it. They called my bluff!
Upcoming weekly sales:
•Bit.Trip Saga ($9.99 starting February 14)
•Crashmo ($5.99 starting February 21)
•Fractured Soul ($7.99 starting February 28)
•Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword ($4.99 Starting March 7)
•Ketzal's Corridors ($4.99 starting March 14)
•Mutant Mudds ($5.99 March 21)
I can highly recommend Crashmo and Mutant Mudds. I did not like Ketzal's Corridors. The rest I haven't played.
- Donkey Kong Returns 3DS (remake of the Wii game) this summer.
Someone please tell me this is not what they had Retro doing!
- Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (M&L RPG) this summer! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
