Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

Bryan Reynolds left Zynga. If you need me, I'll be daydreaming about another Rise of Nations for the rest of the day.

Yeah, agreed.

Oddly enough, I was looking wistfully at my Rise of Nations discs just yesterday, contemplating a reinstall.

You're really really proud of this.

The title is To Steal a Book is an Elegant Offense

Ignition Factor for the SNES. It isn't that great of a game but the concept is great. You play a fire fighter tasked with going into a building, rescuing people and objects, and getting out of it in time. Would love to see this (and some other non-violent) concepts revived.

Just sent my submission in to the GWJ Writers Call. Regardless of the objective quality of the piece, I had a really good time writing it.

Lou Diamond Phillips' best role in years!

Plus the blue eyed White Collar girl.

After a month of hand-wringing my wife and I managed to straighten out our health insurance just under the end-of-month deadline. This should save us several grand over the course of the pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

I love this album. It's one of those nice discoveries, where you're worried that something released when you were in high school would seem stupid or unrewarding years later, and you find that it still hits you in the happy place.

Yup. It's quite cool.

OK, so maybe the conversation has moved on by now. But still: we had a gay prime minister before it was cool.

Bonus points for fabulous looks too:

I love Spotify. Just digging through amazon purchases and going over what I could remember of new release CD purchases, I did the math and was averaging spending over $600 a year on music in 2010 and 2011.

Started paying $10 a month for Spotify. Have barely bought anything since. There's just a ton of music that I listen to for a little while and then never have an urge to go back to. Spotify is perfect for all of that.

Only spent about $250 on music in 2012, Spotify sub included.

Yeah. Alexandra Daddario.

Been a fan ever since she was on that show. Solid actress. Plus... THOSE EYES.

I may have just won my battle on stopping a smart meter being installed on my home.

Of course they could have installed one if they signed my legal document stating that they were liable for all damages to the property and my health, but they declined for some reason.

Sonuva... I just thinking I should put it on my iPhone since I haven't listened to it in ages, but forgot. Now I'm stuck at work wishing I'd remembered.

I recently started using Spotify and I really enjoy it. Been on the fence about subscribing, and been leaning a little more towards "yes" each day.

Edit: To be clear, that image has nothing to do with anything. I just thought it was a funny turkey.

That feeling when you've spent an hour organizing a board game into plastic bins, and it just looks pretty.

Then you only have to spend 5 minutes on setup, which would have taken 30 minutes without all your organization.

I forgot the Cary Elwes was in Hot Shots.

Edit: Nevermind, I should have checked first. I could have sworn I saw him in there but IMDB says no.

Edit 2: Okay, I scanned through the trailer really quickly. He is in the trailer. Not sure why IMDB doesn't say he is unless this is a joke trailer.

What the hell?

1) ANOTHER Hansel and Gretel movie in the same year? (insert Hollywood joke here)
2) Cary Elwes is in it, and he's got a Wilhelm IN THE TRAILER?!?
3) Molly Quinn presumably wants to advance her career beyond Castle. What is she thinking?!

Yeah, I'm surprised the trailer hasn't come up on GWJ before that I've seen. It's perfect fodder for GWJ.

I think there are 5 Hansel movies coming out this year (not a joke).

Hansel & Gretel get baked smacks of a movie the studio has been sitting on for a while.
