Video Game Deals Catch-All

Is Newegg doing customized promo-codes now? I just received an email from them with a code for $10 off upcoming game pre-orders including the Starcraft expansion. I passed it onto a friend and he got a message that his email address was not valid. He is even signed up for their promotions with that email. Either way, it may be worth it to check your email or spam folder.

02 / 05 / 2013 - Dead Space 3
02 / 12 / 2013 - Aliens: Colonial Marines
02 / 19 / 2013 - Crysis 3
03 / 12 / 2013 - Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm Standard / Collector's Edition
03 / 26 / 2013 - Bioshock Infinite

Promo code that may or may not work: BTEXWVM22

I got that e-mail too and it looks like the same code.

Usually they do restrict things to people signed up for the newsletter, so you'd think that would be it.

Age of Empires 3 Complete is currently 75% off ($9.99) on Amazon. Redeems on Steam.

There is an EA sale on XBLA this week.

The Dragon Ages are involved along with 'From Ashes' for ME3 and SSX. Whoo!

That one's live now (at least for me, not sure if they're doing a regional rollout). Not seeing much of interest for me personally there.

Ninja edits for the win. I looked on XBLA and found the sale.

I'm spreading this news to the four corners of GWJ:

NEVERWINTER NIGHTS 2 COMPLETE (that's right, it comes with Mask of the Betrayers, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate) is now available on GOG.com for $15. Reviews about how well it works are coming in strong, although I haven't been home to boot it up yet. Also not sure how well the multiplayer works, but either way, snap this up, NWN2 has a history of being impossible to find.

Is it not on Steam anymore? I bought it there for $10 a while back.

It got pulled when Atari lost the D&D license.

Yeah, I got it on Steam and noticed that it had disappeared from the store page too. I don't know what will happen if I remove it and try to install it again. I'm assuming that it will work but...

I have to go and check now. Is it still available if you already purchased, just not available for new purchase?

If something disappears from the store, it's usually either because the licenses to sell it are in limbo or they've run out of cd-keys for games that need them. I'm not aware of any game that's already been bought by someone disappearing from their account.

Yeah, I have a couple of games on Steam that got pulled from sale. You get to retain the license to what you already bought and download it again.

Yup that happened to me for Chessmaster. It's still there, but they don't have the spiffy icon for the tiled library view. Luckily you can set your own now.

Carcassonne is $2.50 at GMG. I assume it's not a steam game. You can also use GMG20-PJFEW-Y16HK for 20% off. So $2.

New Egg has the Logitech G35 referbs for $59

Looks like the non-breathable ear cups on those, though.

Yep, they're a leatherette full enclosure style ear pad. I've had G35's since they first came out and absolutely love them. That non-breathable pad helps them cut out external noise and helps me keep my sanity when I have several young kids and two large dogs all running amok playing in my house.

It looks to be the same form factor as my wireless models. They're very comfy for long periods of time.

Hmm...I've got a pair of the G330s that I use at work, but always want a little more sound proofing. Might be a good addition...

Nail'd - 80 cents on GMG. Not sure if it activates on Steam though

Use code GMG20-PJFEW-Y16HK

Capsule Client: required Capsule to download.

I will put a pimp out for those G35s. My boyfriend has them and I've been using them to play Deus Ex HR and let me tell you, that game sounds fantastic and with the 7.1 its so easy to tell where all the gunfire is coming from when I'm under cover.

But they're not good... even though they're not bad

Oh they do not hold up well either. I really hope that Wildman goes off a base of Demigod because the controls were so much more polished than Dungeon Siege or Supreme Commander.

Right now I am praying I can get some love out of DS3 that I have yet to install. Otherwise Taylor can thank me for the gift and I don't think I'll be backing Wildman.

Yeah, G35=good.

25,000 posts. Just sayin'.

I have the opportunity to pick up all of Crusader Kings 1 and 2. Any enabling/disabling? I'm highly interested in opinions.

DOOO EEET!

Seriously, CK1 isn't worth bothering with at this point, but CK2 is one of the best games I've ever played.

CK2 is dense, but with a lot of payoff if you dig strategy games.

I have over 400 hours into it.

On the "track" page it lists the number of posts in the thread in black and the number of new posts in red.
