The FA CUP!

and I understand your gripe with statistics especially when they are used like this.

ALL COMPETITIONS: Van Persie - Mins 2156 - ASSISTS 7 - GOALS 22 Walcott - Mins 1541 - ASSISTS 11 - GOALS 17

People are having a proper wank fest on twitter about Walcott and Girouds production....

At the end of the day Arsenal still sold a title to United. While also effectively taking themselves out of the race.

There's only one stat that matters, 99% of the time.

Number of points.

And United take the pitch and are awarded their obligatory PK. I think ill skip this now.

Seventeen minutes into his first start coming off injury, Mirallas went out injured again.

We played poorly, and should have had to face Bolton a second time. Heitinga with the winner in stoppage time, though - whoever had that bet can probably now put their kids through college.

Nice to see Redknapp throwing their cup game. Now he can waddle off to Fernandes, cry 'see, I told you the squad was sh*t' and get leave to sign more players and get more bungs. How the hell else can Ben-Haim be getting a game ?

I love it when I'm right.

No doubt Twitcher knows just the players he needs, and their agents, and a supplier of brown paper bags.

Do you think he just takes a lump sum or prefers a steady stream of income and just gets a kick back on the wages?

edit: Spurs haha

Depends how closely HMRC are watching him, after somehow failing to achieve a conviction last year.

Still, a man is tried by a jury of his peers, so it's unlikely that 12 other lying, thieving hypocrites would find him guilty, I suppose.

Dear Leeds

Can you please play league games like you play cup games?

Thank You

Good news for Liverpool fans, your quest for fourth place will now be unencumbered by any of this cup nonsense.

(S{racist slur})

Cup draw - Luton vs Millwall. Let's hope it goes off a bit quieter than the last cup game between them.

4.57pm: Didier Drogba has signed an 18-month contract at Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey. The former Chelsea striker is currently on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast but Eurosport and official Turkish League broadcaster LigTV are reporting that Drogba has found the time to agree a move to Turkey from Shanghai Shenhua.
Everton have agreed a deal to sign the Dutch international midfielder Leroy Fer for a fee thought to be around €10m (£8.5m). He will now travel to Everton to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

Well now, that was unexpected.

Assuming the rumor is true, I wonder whether our chairman has decided to invest some to make a run at finishing high enough to get into the Champions League?

I'd still like to see another midfield signing - if we're set on keeping Fellaini as an AMC / inside forward, maybe a deep-lying playmaker. That or someone for Seamus Coleman to link up with on the right flank - Naismith has been a pretty huge disappointment out there, IMO.

Still waiting or an "Asrenal signs..." rumor although we've been waiting forever for that and probably will continue to wait...

Villa apparently back on the table?

I'll believe it when I see it.

Other day a person had a good comparison on twitter. Wenger denied Arteta was coming... 2 days later he was in a jersey.

So Wenger being all coy is denying anyone is coming and that no deals are imminent. Which pretty much means nothing.

Problematic is I'm seeing nothing out of Villa's end that he actually wants out.

Nice to see Whelan escape punishment for his stamp.

According to the little scamp..

Whelan said after the game: "I've gone in for the challenge and I don't think I tried to be dirty but if it looks that way on TV then I'll have to hold my hands up.

"I don't think I caught him as much as he was rolling about. It's the English game, the old-fashioned game, and that's what the Premier League is so good for.

"There is massive pressure on the referees from the media and the people they're accountable to. Hopefully it (tackling) can stay in the game and people just get on with it."

Let's see what the video says, shall we ?

Glenn, I'm afraid it says you're a dirty bastard who should be banned for months. Even if you hadn't stamped on him, the fact that you were (a) out of control and (b) intending to injure should have seen you sent off. Still, you are at the ideal club for it, you Neanderthal half-witted clogger.

I can only hope that Webb is refereeing when someone pulls a similar stunt on you.

Err so this means they also didn't review the video and sanction him? I thought thats how it worked? If he gets 0 and Hazard gets over 3... yikes.

http://www.teamtalk.com/stoke-city/8447923/No-retrospective-action-over-Glenn-Whelan-tackle-on-Javi-Garcia-FA-confirms

err so Webb admits that he saw it so it doesn't count? I guess in his report he would of had to say that he 'blinked' and video evidence comes in and we actually get the right result? If football had a wife he'd beat her because its definitely stuck in the stone age.

anyways other fun stuff

http://www.skybet.com/football/specials/transfer-specials

None of the books I use have transfer bets so I went over to have a peak out of interest if there was actually any money to be made and.... Nope. Horrendous odds. Pretty much the majority of those deals are non existent that Sky will just cash in on.

Only bet I can see that seems like a lock is the 'who will sign the most' Newcastle 1.8

which after further review is probably a scam waiting to happen.

You think the 'Newcastle will sign most' bet is a lock, despite 'Arry being in possession of money and 3 days left in the window.

Don't bet your house on it, that's all I'll say.

EDIT - And it could be that Arsene is fibbing about signings....

So....

Mario to AC seems to be done.

lets see how quickly Dave admonishes that era

edit: Also confession. When Newcastle got Goufrann I was confused that it was actually Gourcuff... Whooops ;P

Robinho, Adebayor, Tevez, Balotelli... can't wait for what's next

I'm going to miss him ;_;

Cavani and more trophies - would you like me to send you a picture of one ?

And I think that 110% thing is missing something - what percentage is

"flicks on ball to Aguero for City to win the league" in ?

I hope you are all satisfied, now that you have driven sweet, gentle Mario into the arms of the match-fixers owned by that ridiculous dwarf with his bunga-bunga parties. You should be ashamed !!

PS - Arsenal are safe, there's only 1 of your current squad worth having

I'm actually going to miss him. Hes the kind of Mourinho-esqu character that just adds more spice to following the Prem.

Also on the pitch you never knew. I saw him go off live at the emirates and it was a spectacle indeed.

As for Cavani? I doubt it. He keeps getting linked with clubs but for the most part I never hear it from his end. Just that hes actually that good to move to a bigger club so the press just assume it.

I wouldn't be surprised if City stand pat and are just happy to conclude selling Mario is addition by subtraction.

The more I think on, the more I think that you might be right. They might even give John Guidetti a chance in the squad, if he's recovered from his virus.

How Villa have fallen.

Cabaye goal was amazing yet so predictable. As he let it drop for the volley I knew he was going to smack it in.

If Villa do go down I hope they at least take Wigan with them ;P (and Stoke yea right)

Balotelli would have scored.

We don't credit refs enough when they get it right. Props to dowd on that one as I thought it was a penalty forsure.

Clarification: Live I thought it was. Replay clearly not. ;P
