If you click on the Wrench icon, it will show you all the heatsinks and tech pieces in the mech. I haven't messed around too much in there, but if you have some extra heat sinks (from packs, I got 2 in a common pack) you can throw them into a customizable mech.

Also, link to steam? I thought I had you on my friends list, but I'm not finding you.

I should be just SpyNavy on Steam. I don't have any extra heat sinks. That may be problem, but it won't let me pull off purple mechs either.

New Patch dropped. They fixed the issue with invite games always defaulting to 2 minutes turns. So, does anyone want to start a 24 hours per turn game?

For those of you in the Beta; they did a wipe recently (with the patch maybe) and gave us 250K scrap.

I now have a full lance of triple PPC Awesomes. Squueeeee!!! I also have more than just light mechs to customize.

Hey TigerBill, interested in getting in a match? I'm thinking one set to 24 hour turns, just so we don't have to coordinate a time to be on together? If so, what CV value do you want to set as a maximum?

I don't actually have any lances built yet. Even though I'm goofing off at work, I can't run the game here.

To warn anyone who does happen to play me; I don't do much in the way of tactics. I normally don't play tactical games against humans. I can't wait for more stuff vs the AI in this game. The whole reason I'm interested in this game is for a computer controlled game master to run matches, so my friends and I don't have to battle each other.

Ok Tkyl, I made a 3503 point team of customized experiments for us to give a go. I will try sending a match to tkyl on MWT see what happens.

Ok, I've accepted the match. Taking my first turn now.

Had a weird glitch last night; had an all LRM lance that wouldn't show the mechs firing. Damage was still being done but, my opponent and I couldn't see them firing. Also two of the mechs had their weapons become unavailable for no reason at all half way through the match.

I'm game too, haven't played battletech in years. I messed around with a few AI games and so far enjoyed it. Send me an invite if anybody wants a game. Name is Randomman for both mwtactics and on steam.

I'm in, played 1 game vs the AI. I have 2 lances one below 3k and one above 4k. Name is Brizahd.

The same Dragon that decided to shut down completely after its arm popped off? XD (known isssue)..

Also I would like to add that your Awesome needs some sort of sound track or Unreal like voice overs. "Hitting Spree!!", "Multi Hit", "Unnnnmissable!".. lol.. I guess it has not hit every shot but wow when I checked the logs a few turns it sure didnt miss.

The pilot in him has a 90% gunnery rating. Though that did bump up his CV cost considerably. Hence why I had to run with 2 cheap, light mechs.

Ok now that I pointed it out .. it missed 2 times. I was running one with a rare pilot like that with 2 plus to hit tatics stacked in and it was never giving me over like 70% to hit in the lil box during the attack phase. Prob need to try it with one +hit tatic and then 2 again to see if it stacks or does some weird thingo.

Really all the stuff but the Dragon getting Imobed from the Arm is going about how I what thinking. Also the Treb went imob from the arm issue as well, though that one is just an alpha strike and run thing.. really bad on this map too. hehe.

Even so I am not at all convinced if the Awesome hits like this regularly, that even without arm bugs that this team would take it down before it dropped a couple mechs. I mean like Alone vs 4 of mine with 3 mechs tied behind its back.

I just checked the game and now.. the treb that I lasted looked at like 5 turns ago. Now shows me something more than leg and arm damage. Looks like some ammo exploded and took out the engine and the gyro from the sheet. With all those srms I think that is very reasonable and rather likely considering the hits it took. Much much cooler than the arm damage buggeh thingo that was going to die like 2 turns later anyway Dragon incident. 8D.

This new patch makes things seem to hit more reliably from the tiny data sample I've observed so far. Also in this same tiny data set, it has not locked up on submitting. Nice to see it progressing along.

There are definitely bugs and some features that need to be worked out, but there is definitely a very nice, solid game here. It is a fairly close representation of the original table top game.

I like the direction they are going with it. MechWarrior 4 Assault Mech games I played in the past lasted a Loooong time and loads of turns... well unless it was solaris (spell correct if needed) then it was all .. Hey lets see if we blow up after this Alpha Strike..! 8D.. or this one time the "We can call target locations and look at your build sheets" sorta under handed game store newb exploitation game happened.

The added tweaks so far are rare weapons, tactics and pilots that all can speed up a game as they all seem to be stacking offensive buffs. Unless you count heat reduction as defense.. I guess in the case of flamers it is. Seemly as I was saying will make the matches faster.. but yeah they still will take a good wad of turns regardless.. just not as long. With all the situation based effects, pilot skills and such, I think it will add some more fun in the build side of things as well.

So what I'm hearing is a game that's better than Titans of Steel?

Those cicadas are fragile... I really enjoy their speed though.

That last turn I kept logging into to check and it had the "waiting for other player" thingy up. Then I log in a min ago or so and it's my turn. o.0 counter down to 3h and change.

Does the LOS make you say hmmm like it does me so far? XD.

Ditching that lance concept and making another thang. Have to see what point value it ends up.
