I don't get it.

If you were talking about the Lohan pic, it's Lindsay Lohan, spectacular hollywood failure, set against a backdrop of THQ, the game publisher that just failed spectacularly.

But now that I had to explain it, it's not funny.

And don't think you people can trick me into changing my avatar again, no matter how cool your shark pics are. Kitty shark stays!
Oh, and here's a picture of a news story:

That looks like The Gorge here in Oregon/Washington. I wonder if it is.

I was thinking the same thing. Gotta be with all that basalt and brown grass on the hillside.

Huh, I wonder how badly he sh*t himself?

As a man who doesn't engage in many outdoor activities and is not fond of heights, I say he should have held on and rode that thing wherever it took him.

To be clear, these pieces of art were drawn not by hand, but by the eye of Francis Tsai.

I thought I'd put this here as people like these guessing games of sort:

An anime based on the idea of sega vs nintendo. Guess the characters by look. They are all video game related

Answer below

Spoiler:

WHO’S WHO?
Gia – Sonic (Sonic The Hedgehog)
Opul – Opa-Opa (Fantasy Zone)
Neru – Nei (Phantasy Star)
Tejilof – Tetris (apparently a third-party mercenary hired by Segua)
Ramses – Columns
Marcse – Mario
Greege – Luigi
Zerig – The Legend Of Zelda
Carval – Kirby
Fare – Fire Emblem
Masa – Mother
Saroid – Samus (Metroid)
Pirika – Pikachu (Pokémon_
Fosta – Fox (Star Fox)

I'm going to record my answers before reading the spoiler to see if I'm right. I am numbering the rows 1-3 and the columns A-E.

Spoiler:

1-A : Sonic
1-C : Phantasy Star?
1-D : Link?
2-A : Mario
2-B : Luigi
2-E : Fire Emblem (Roy?)
3-A : Ness/Earthbound
3-B : Samus/Metroid
3-C : Pikachu/Pokemon

Looking at the answers....and 1-D makes no sense. 2-D should have been obvious! Argh! 2-C requires a very specific clue, otherwise...no. And 3-D....eh, I guess? Maybe? Hrm.

At the very least, I clearly no Nintendo better than Sega.

Almost certainly the Columbia River Gorge. It's windsurfing mecca.

I used to work in roofing, and when a storm was coming in, we'd be off work, and I'd go windsurfing. I used to dream of going there. But that would be like going from the bunny hill to Val-d'Isere.

So why does the heating element show purple when the camera picks up the red from the pepperoni?

Kind of a neat project. I may make one tomorrow, although I prefer black bean and salsa to meat.

Digital cameras also react to infrared.

Try this. Point a digital camera (even the one on your phone) at the business end of a tv remote and push any button. You can clearly see the infrared led in the remote light up on the camera screen.

Normally the effect is washed out but in something putting out a lot of IR it will show up.

I totally use trick this when troubleshooting videoconference units which don't respond to their remotes.

Isn't that essentially the premise of Hyperdimension Neptunia? It's a game, not an anime, but still.
