Borderlands 2 Catch-All

Killed The Warrior tonight the first time on TVHM with a buddy of mine on my mechromancer. It even dropped the Converence Call.

Is it bad that I am a but underwhelmed by that gun? :c

I am also trying to get a shock Hail from the first bandit slaughter ring, has anyone here tried the 'look at quest gun and if it isn't the one you want exit the game'-trick?

I have been farming The Warrior lately and having no luck at all. The best thing I got was a pistol from the Super Badass Constructor on the way there. The pistol looked underwhelming at first but turned out to be really effective.

I had hoped that the splitting shots from the Conference Call (why oh why I am thinking of a certain podcast all of a sudden ...) would mix really well with the Mechromancer skill that deflects bullets from walls at enemies. Eh, still nice to have a legendary.

I've heard it works best with The Bee. Something about penetration, I don't know. But hey, if you don't want it I'll take it.

Just got BL2 during the Steam sale, unfortunately none of my friends did. Looking for a few people who might be willing to play with me... Most of my characters are still low level but I wouldn't mind starting from scratch either. Let me know if interested!

It also occurred to me too late how much fun it is to play the game with other people regularly. I played through the game nearly twice before I found someone in my circle who wasn't already in a full group who wanted to play together.
We are now planning to get the 4 DLCs for cheap (+ the 6th class?) in half a year once he got a new PC to enjoy the game above 20 frames per second.

I had always http://orcz.com/Borderlands_2:_Golde... bookmarked for just that. It is also the third or fourth link if you search for borderlands 2 golden keys on google.

thanks!

wow ... just wow ...
Conference Call + Bee is just too much fun

You can add me. I got it during the steam sale. I think I'm in the early teens.

Feel free to throw me on your list too. I just got it over Christmas and have had a couple sessions. I will mostly be on late week day nights if I am on.

Nice. I got into the shift codes a bit late, so I got about 8 from that list.

The PC one is already on that list:

A fresh batch of SHiFT codes for a Golden Key in Borderlands 2, coming right up!

PC / Mac SHiFT Code: KTKB3-TCZC5-9W6JT-BJBTB-6ZHTS
Xbox 360 SHiFT Code: K3CT3-WZRS5-9HRJX-KRJ33-39XCC
PlayStation 3 SHiFT Code: KTW33-XWFK3-WWKK3-S3CBB-9JJCR

These codes will be active through January 21. Be sure to redeem them before then!

Anyone playing the new DLC? Can anyone explain to me how/when/what triggers the savages levelling up/healing themselves?
It seems to only happen when there's a witch doctor around, but beyond that I have no clue.
My group has already gotten wrecked (had to run away) a few times, from levelled up (my level+4 or so) savages/hunters/triggermen. It would be nice to know what we can do about it. Although we are already focus firing on the witch doctors, but I'm thinking at this point that that's part of the problem.

Yeah, it's the witch doctor. What you can do is murder all witch doctors.

I was running the Normal mode with my son and I took note that he ran into two Savages that were Super Bada$$ and when I helped kill them they dropped some blue loot. So I ran ahead since I am 50 with my Zer0 and he was only 35 with Axton and grouped up two more Savages and had them level up more. It made it a little more challenging for me and it actually allowed him to get some gear out of it as well.

SIDE NOTE:

Has anyone noticed a lootpalooza of vehicle skins dropping in Sir Hammerlocks DLC over anywhere else (also not a direct result or maybe it was of allowing the mobs to level up)? That same run my son and I did we came out with over 20 Fanboat, Runner, and Bandit Technical skins. We are playing the 360 version btw. Some where doubles but hey they were still dropping everywhere.

I haven't started Hammerlock yet, but that happened to me in both Scarlet and Torgue. I couldn't go 3 enemies without getting a skin for some vehicle in those two adventures.

re: DLC skin drop rates: it's worth noting that Cpt. Scarlett and Hammerlock's both introduce new vehicles, and each DLC has a themed character skin/head as well. So there will be some higher drop rates for those skins until you get them unlocked.

Speaking of skins... New head/skin packs!

One dollar a piece.

My favorite head/character combination of all--Handsome Jack's Mask on Zer0 reminds me of Evil from Time Bandits:

Does anyone have any space for one more friend on 360? I'd love to give the online a shot with some GWJ folks - I haven't had any luck playing with random people.

Hopefully I can play with some of you!

The new DLC is, um, hard. I quite often feel like I am starting the game anew with my weapon knowledge upended.

Well and then there are the vampiric witch doctors... (good grief man)

I think it is for minimum level 30 which bums me out. I took my level 27 siren into the DLC and everything she was fighting was 30-32 at the start. So I switched to my 32 mechromancer.

Nothing too exciting in the loot RNG except a sniper upgrade (1200 to 2500 damage and a jacobs to boot). Oh and a big shield upgrade (3500 to 5200)

But really, all I have to say is vampiric witch doctors! I guess I need to try some big burn guns/grenades because they are like Cursed Pirates with a really long ranged leech that regens from 0-full in about 4-5 seconds. For that matter, all the witch doctors are tough. There has to be a secret strategy to them.

There's a quest an the animal exploit preserve once you've done the main quest in that area. I forget the name, but you have to release and protect the animals. The reward is a sniper rifle that can bypass shields and directly damage health, which can be an expedient way to get the witch doctors. I went in the new DLC with a level 50 siren and my weapons were pretty underpowered, it was too frustrating.

Oh that's great! I look forward to shooting things with you!

More shift codes look like they went out today:

Anyone else to the point where they don't even feel like bothering with single key codes?

I haven't thrown my disc in the Xbox since November, but I've got such a backlog of keys that it doesn't even matter to me.

In case anyone is interested in tips for killing vampiric witch doctors in the new DLC:

burning, burst sniper; done.

Not quite there. I'm at the point where I won't bother if BL2 isn't the disc that's currently in my ps3, but it happens to be in my ps3 pretty often still.

Haven't hit the new DLC yet, but I'm holding on to a pretty good fire dmg burst sniper just for this

All I have to say is, I hate Pyro Pete on TVHM with the White Hot Fury of a Thousand Suns. I understand he is a raid boss and is supposed to be hard, but damn he has WAY too much HP. I had fun trying to take him down until, I slowly came to the realization every time I activated one of the drains the spawns kept increasing in level/HP. I literally got my face ripped off by one of those little Spiderant things.
