Also, I'll go ahead and vote now:
1) Django
2) Zero Dark Thirty
3) New Die Hard

Just to note, Zero Dark Thirty isn't an action packed movie. It is a very good drama about the search but, it drags slowly along for the first 2/3's.

This is my ballot too.

I viewed the drag as a stylistic choice, but given some of the marketing around the film I cans see how some people thought it would be more 'action-y.'
Slow is good. I like slow. Long, dragging, patient storytelling.

Indeed. The big screen is for details you don't want to miss, like awesome Semper Fi tattoos.

Note to self: implement +1 button on GWJ.
It's obvious we have to choose Les Miserables this month.

It's obvious how? :P
Because we can't possibly go to an action movie, nothing's gonna measure up to The Last Stand.
With this one being on a holiday, I might be able to make it out! Always looking for an excuse to go to Austin.
So what do you want to see?
The only movie I've seen recently is Django. So, I'm pretty much up for whatever.
The Hard gets my vote, followed by Django. What theater are we going to this month?
Where is the money Lebowski?
I thought it was going to be in the 18th.
I thought it was going to be in the 18th.
OK fine, I'll get the date right this time. I counted down to 3rd Monday but the Drafthouse calendar has already slipped the first Monday out of view.
Lebowski is playing on the 18th as well, albeit at 10:00pm.
Django has a 9:55pm playtime. Zero Dark Thirty has a 6:15.
EDIT: OK, executive decision time. Lebowski and Django will be too late, and with this kind of critic response to the new Die Hard, I won't be responsible for anyone else paying money to see it.
So, Zero Dark Thirty, 6:15 pm, Slaughter Lane.
Lebowski will be at 7:00 pm at Slaughter Lane on next month's Third Monday. I nominate it for then. Especially since that might actually get Boogle to come.
So, I have been tasked with picking the movie this month.
The venue will be the Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane, because I've never been there.
EDIT: Rest of this redacted, scroll down.
Does anyone know where I can get a Papyrus Semper Fi temporary tattoo made in time for Monday?
You know, if you were going to pick a theater way down south, you could have done it on a day when I was already 3/4 of the way there. As it is, I'm not working on Monday and you're driving. What time are you picking me up? ;)
5:00. Wear something pretty.
Sorry gents, I've seen it.
Bah, it's reserved seating. Where to sit?
This is something we're gonna have to figure out for the Drafthouse from now on. Do we have one person buy a group of seats?
Sorry gents, I've seen it.
The point is to come hang out with us, not the movie so much, ya dip.
So.... ticket purchasing? Are we just going to meet up outside the theater and buy a block of seats together?
Who is coming?
I'm out for tonight. Catch up with y'all next go round.
Last-minute birthday plans, so I'm out. Have fun and let me know how it was.
Well if it's just *Legion* and I, I'm going to call an audible and stay north. The only one I've seen express interest is Sinkwater, and that was a "maybe", so I hope this doesn't mess him up.
Terrible hangover today, sorry.
