Playstation 4 Games Catch-All

That sounds like a partner problem, not a PS3/PC problem. ;)

Lol, very good.

Unfinished Swan for less than $4 is going to have to be a purchase for me.

Was the dlc store of gt5 restored yet? Wasn't available all weekend

PSN was down for updates most of the weekend. It should all be up now.

I had access to psn, but not gt5's dlcs.

I'd recommend it to non-subscribers as well. It's easily worth half the price.

There was actually a budget bundle of Unfinished Swan with Journey on PS plus the last time I checked. What a great bundle!

Has anyone checked out the 7 RPG game bundle for PSP that's on PS Plus sale at the moment. I'd be interested to hear if it would be worth getting hold of.

What's in the bundle? I didn't see anything on Sony's blog about it.

Link, although I'm not sure if that is what PawnSacrifice was referring to.

Nice! I'll definitely be grabbing Unfinished Swan for $3.75. I wish Papa y Yo was there too.

I'm glad I waited on The Unfinished Swan! I almost pressed buy within the last month, but told myself to just wait until it was 50% off. I didn't expect it to be this cheap!!

I'm also gonna grab Machinarium.

Yeah, I presume not. He mentioned a 7 RPG PSP bundle.

I just played through Unfinished Swan. What a great game!! I wish it was longer, but it was the best psn game since Journey. At this discount, everyone should get it!

Spoiler:

The story was pretty sad, though... ._.

I just finished the second chapter tonight. It's definitely dripping with charm throughout... but I hate to say that the sections of super high contrast white & black really hurt my eyes after even just a little while. I've had to limit myself to 1 chapter per night, which works out to have a decent side-effect of prolonging the game, so I won't complain too much.

I don't wish it was longer. It was long enough to tell the story without needless padding, and all the mechanics felt satisfying in the many ways they were used, but not overused.

A little bit of trivia for those who've finished, no spoiler though.

Spoiler:

The narrator is actually a developer's Aunt. She was their temp recording, but they didn't find an actor that they preferred over her. She was quite good.

I almost never get motion-sickness playing a first person game, but I felt the same way with The Unfinished Swan. I had thought it was more of a platformer. Very interesting so far, but I'm taking it slow too.

Did you play it with a Move controller? I don't have Move and am wondering how it holds up with a regular PS3 controller?

So, I've had a PS3 since 2007 or so, but my 80 gig unit (with a 320 gig hard drive) was so loud, I haven't used it much in the last two years because it sounds like a 747 is in my living room. Anyway, yesterday, I got the 500 gig Assassin's Creed bundle slim, which comes with a free month of Plus. I've never had Plus, aside from the two free months back when PSN got hacked, and didn't use it much then. I already have LBP2, inFamous 2, Street Fighter IV Super Duper Turbo Extreme Edition (or whatever), and some of the other freebies downloaded.

Anything else I should grab? Anyone want to sell me on The Unfinished Swan?

Grab everything that's free. You don't have to download, just purchase in the store. There's no reason not to, you can get enabled on the games later.

Dude, there's a demo. It's a great demo too. If I had any budget for games, I'd have bought it already. Wish it was a PS+ freebie. The game just captures this great sense of isolation, exploration, and wonder just in the demo.

This. I already have LBP2 and Darksiders on disc, but picked them up anyways and didn't DL. Also, really happy they managed to make the store a tolerable speed, and I think they dropped a step in the DL in background confirmation process. Now they just need to stop making demos 'purchases' and give a DL in background button before you even click to DL initially.

Yes. If you like things such as joy and ecstasy, you should buy it. If you hate such things, you may want to check your pulse.

I'm trying to buy The Unfinished Swan. I can't bloody find it! I know it's there, but the store keeps crashing and booting me out, and Sony's patented StupidSearch system really isn't helping. It doesn't find it under "T" or "U". Unfortunately, we don't have the sale price over here.

A side question, since I keep seeing it: Why on Earth is Far Cry 3 £60 (US$95) on the PSN Store? It's £37 new in the shops! The DLC is not included.

£40 is pretty much the max price for new games on PS3 and 360.

It's a featured title on the PS+ section of the US store, did you check there?

It wasn't under featured. I eventually found it about 3 levels deep.

I agree the length fit the story. I'm just saying I was enjoying it so much I would have been pleased with even more. I never got the "ugh is this over yet" feeling.

I played it with a standard dual-shock. It felt great! I probably would have liked it less with a Move since I got tired of my Wii so fast (I don't own Move).

The PSN web store now online! You can buy games via a web browser, then download them from your Downloads list later. No functionality to turn on your system and download it yet.

Check it out, it lets you link to games too. Cool!

Please to paypal me $300, and I'll get right on it

Hey, cool. Now I can... "buy" all those PS+ PS3 games so I can just queue them up and download them on Sunday when I get my stupid damn PS3. Would've been nice if they'd done this in time to pick up Journey on sale, but I guess that's asking a lot.

I think I just shed a tear. Sony's ready for the next-gen now, watch out!
